Hate to leave this but it needs to be known. There is a thief at Toad's. My vehicle was towed to their yard without my knowledge because it was in a parking lot for approximately two weeks. I understand that they were just called by a business to tow my vehicle.
When I went to pick up my vehicle I met with the owner (older gentleman who I assume is Toad). While walking through the field, I mentioned that the battery might be dead but I had dewalt batteries that would jump if needed. When I got to my vehicle, to my surprise, it was unlocked. It kind of threw me off but I just assumed they had to Jimmy the lock to tow it (wasn't really thinking). While standing with the door open, I started the vehicle and processed my payment of $290, over the phone with his wife.
At this point, I was understandably unhappy because my vehicle was even towed in the first place. Now I have just paid a tow bill that I couldn't spare. So, I get in my vehicle and drive out of the gate, where my girlfriend is waiting in her vehicle. Toad goes on back up the hill towards the rest of his property and home. All of a sudden, my stomach dropped and I looked down in the floorboard for my batteries! Both batteries and the charger were gone!
I immediately called Toad and explained everything. He said nobody had been in the vehicle. I asked if the vehicle had to be unlocked for it to be towed and he said "No." I asked if he towed it himself and he said that his son had towed it. I had other belongings in the car, the batteries were just easily visible and right there for the taking. It seems clear as day what happened but I can't prove anything.
Jamey delivered a shipping conex to my home today. The 2nd conex he helped deliver for me. The challenge was stacking the one today on top of the first that was partially buried in the ground. I was anxious to see how the delivery would go as I could not wrap my head around how he would accomplish the task. With skill and expertise he was successful in getting them stacked perfectly in a surprisingly short amount of time. I was amazed by his abilities and would not hesitate to call Toad's for any future services I may need. Friendly, knowledgeable, and competent just begin to describe Jamey and the service we received today from Toad's.
Todd is a life saver! He came to where i was broken down, diagnosed the problem, went and got the part needed, came back and fixed it! Great service, affordable prices! 10 out of 10!
I've used Toad's several times and was always very pleased with how they went above and beyond with customer service, prompt response time, no complaints anywhere.. but this time I called my experience was quite different. I was told it would be the next day before he could get to my vehicle because " my son's on vacation and I'm covered up". The response sounded unprofessional,rude, impatient.. not what a customer should encounter. While I can understand not having the time due to being short handed and busy, it could have been handled more professionally. It was my birthday, my car was done in the shop and I needed it towed back to my house since I had no other way to get it . I was able to get another company and get reimbursed through my insurance but this experience was completely unacceptable.
Jamey and his assistant arrived quickly after our call and could not have been more professional and helpful! Those guys went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and the price was more than fair. We are extremely impressed with this Veteran owned local business!
He has my car impounded and is being impossible to get my car back because I had to file for a lost title and my bill of sale isn't legal enough even though it's been notarized.
Not trustworthy! Never called me back as they said they would before towing my vehicle. Towed it to a different location and charged me!! Will never do business with them again!
They came from their garage to Airport Road to pick up my trailblazer with a blown back tire. They were there pretty quickly, from the outside looking in they seemed pretty responsive and friendly. Because of the situation my husband was in (he knocked a cow fence because the vehicle fish tailed), we had to have it towed immediately. Okay, no problem. We asked if instead of having it towed to the garage, we could have it towed to Gilliam Road to our home so we could just change the tire out ourselves, which was half a mile up the road. He said it was free if he took the car and we didn’t want it back from the garage, then threw out an offer to buy it from me for 200 bucks, then said if I wanted it at my home he was going to charge us over 150 bucks for his time and equipment usage, in cash, and it had to be paid to him immediately or the amount would go up. I could easily find a tow service that would charge me less than half of that to take it farther than that company would have, and by the end of all of it, instead of making my life easier, he made it more complicated and stressful. All I have to say is if you use these guys, keep cash on hand, and prepare for them to make your life difficult in a hard time.
Any experience I have had while paying toads for assistance, they have been amazing.
There is one gentleman I encountered today, that I’ve never met before, and he was very inconsiderate. I was behind his truck on my way to an appointment, before he got out of the vehicle to perform his duties. He could have just let me pass him before he started, as there was no other exit or entrance to the building site. My appointment was an emergency situation, and when I got out and said I needed him out of my way, and yes, I was irritated, because he knew I was behind him before he even started chaining the tires to the vehicle he was about to tow. He told me that if I continued to be upset about being late he would deliberately go slower. It was very unprofessional of him to tell me that my problems were not his own.
