Very rude person works there where the scales are. He has a reputation for being miserable. $104 minimum is much more than other places. I called Troy OGS to give feedback, no return call. Make sure you get there by 3pm. The guy there will close early.

I've been here a few times. Always a flat rate of $98 under 1,000 lbs. Ive never had an issue, and the guy at the gate gives my dog a treat every time

My account is paid in full; the company removed my container one month ago and hasn't replaced it; and all I get is a busy signal; very poor account servicing! After two hours the line is still busy?

Got told the speed limit was 5 Mi an hour and then got kicked out because I said The Dump Trucks are doing more than 5 mph apparently the rules only apply to people paying to get rid of their trash this is the absolute worst dump I've ever came encounter with

They accept asbestos radioactive waste medical waste and will even allow you to dump human remains if you pay cash. They are always open and never are rude if you don't stop for at least 10 seconds before the scale. You can tell they're really popular because of the thousands of extra dumpsters they have laying around some of which have colorful graffiti exclaiming their love for county waste. If you don't like their prices you can always throw your mattresses around the side of the access road and they will bill you later. I will never go anywhere else to throw away my garbage.

Rude from the minute we entered the yard. When you ask for directions they twist your words to make it seem you made a mistake. The person running the desk needs to take a lesson in customer service. Also it is $93 no matter what. Never going back.

if i could give them no star...i would. Our garbage pickup day is Wednesday. Have had our trash out since Tuesday evening. Wednesday no pickup. I call and they tell me they have a new driver who is still operating on Tuesdays schedule but that he would get to us, never happened. Call Thursday, got a rep who basically said oh well it happens. Here we are Friday, still no pick up. Now they're not taking calls, they are sending everyone to an automated system and are ignoring emails. It's almost August. In the middle of a heatwave and have had garbage sitting in front of our house for almost 1/2 a week. DO NOT sign on w this company. They are the absolute worst and the professionalism is a negative 8!

There hours say they are open 8-5 when you pull up Troy Transfer station. Then of you click on another one of there links it says 7-3 and another one says 7-330. So what are the real hours? Rented a U-Haul pick up to get rid of construction materials and got there at 3;10 on Friday because the hours said open till 5 and they were closed. I saw there other 2 hours of service after clicking on other links. That's bad business now we have to keep the truck till Monday. So if I could give this place a zero I would.

Had the service for almost 3 months before I canceled. Literally, and I mean that in every sense of the word, had to call them every week to have them come pick up my recycling. After 9 weeks they started missing the trash pick up as well and that was the final straw. Called to cancel and went with waste management. Hopefully they do a better job

I was a customer for over 20 years. After realizing I had been overcharged for months, I called and the office staff could not give a legitimate reason as to why. Every time I had to call with an issue, I was on hold for no less than 25 minutes. Just recently, I called for a dumpster and was told it would be delivered on Friday. Friday came and no dumpster. After waiting on hold for 24 minutes, I was told they didn’t have my order and couldn’t get a dumpster until Tuesday. I will not be doing business with this company again.

Several weeks in a row without trash picked up and had spend up to 30 minutes on hold via phone to report it. Terrible. Never was like this until recently. Are new workers out there just plain stupid ? Or don’t care?

Do you enjoy putting your trash out at the end of your driveway and not having it be picked up? Do you enjoy paying regardless of price because theres nobody else that serves your area? Do you enjoy guessing when your trash will be picked up? If you answered yes to these questions you should sign up immediately for their services!

I’ve been a customer for at least 20 years and have generally been pleased with the service. Yes prices have risen, but that’s with most everything.What made me decide to change service, however, was last week when I neglected to get trash out (happens very seldom) I called to see if County Waste could possibly swing by in the morning (they pick up trash on the side street and pass our house to get there). I was 20th in line, so it took awhile.. The person responding said it would be an additional cost of $34, and honestly the customer service just wasn’t there. No sincere attempt was made to accommodate. Perhaps the company has become too big?

HORRIBLE SERVICE, and NO RESPONSE to complaints. (EDIT- this is Nancy Mattice, but my husband Dave Pallas agrees with this review.) County Waste bought out my service, Hardesty and Sons. I had no prior notification. I put my bins out on my usual night- they were never picked up the next day. I contacted them thru their website, where it says they will respond in 24 hours. After no response I called County Recycling and was assured that someone would come. They did come for my trash, 2 days late, but left my full recycle bin. I have called a second time and used their contact form two more times. Still no response or pickup. It has now been 4 days and is Saturday, so it will be at least Monday before I have any hope of talking to a human being. I have never written a negative google review, but this warrants it. I am looking into alternative services.

Rate for taking your own stuff to the transfer station on route 9 is going up to a minimum of $60 from $30 as of this week. Expect to see the roadside ditches in rural areas being used to dump junk. Driving the wrong behavior with this 100% increase 😫😫

The absolutely worse business people i have every delt with. Often times they don’t bother to show up until i call them. This time i called each day for a week with a promise of their coming that day. When they don’t show and you call they often just out and out lie to you with sweet apologies....

I asked to get replacement cans because I've had them for 9+ years and they became too difficult to clean. If I paid $25, they would replace them. As a loyal customer for over 20 years, I'm disappointed. When I told two different customer service representatives that I was canceling our service, there was no attempt to keep me as a customer. When I looked into other companies, I realized how expensive they are. I was also told that they were behind with picking up cans, so I would have to leave them out for 1 to 2 weeks!

I have had a contract with this company for a year. I have commercial account. At the beginning, they would miss pick up days here and there. I would have to call customer service. But now They are horribly. Whatever falls out of dumpster while it is being dumped in the truck, stays on the ground. And then they put dumpster back on top of it. When they come if there is as much as a trash bag in front, they would not bother and just say access was blocked. Last week became a nightmare with them. Garbage was not picked up on two consecutive days. The customer service just keeps reffering me to my account manager. He keeps promising to do something about it. My personal opinion, if you are a small account, they do not care.

I'm going to try ICS. I'm a new customer and they forgot to pick up my garbage on Monday. They keep telling me tomorrow Well it's going on Friday. I'm done. The hold on the phone is forever. Not Good service Mia Levito.

It took over a month to receive my trash can after multiple phone calls and missed deadlines. Some days they don't even bother to show up with no notifications. They broke the lid off the trash can and it's been three weeks and multiple promises a week to replace it and still the can is filled with water and trash left sitting by my curb waiting to be replaced... tired of false promises from their customer service. I am cancelling service this week.

Horrible, they always miss pick ups. then tell you they are coming but never show up. This happens often. Their drivers are arrogant and wont' even get out of the truck if there is an issue picking up an extra bag. Wow what a terrible company.

I've had County Waste for 11 years. I can count on one hand the amount of times my trash has not been picked up on the regularly scheduled day. In fact, multiple times I have forgotten to get the trash out and they have made a special trip back to get it. The rates are reasonable and the drivers are great.

I just had a very unpleasant service call with "John". Twice so far this year (it's only February 5th) our Monday pickup did not occur as scheduled. The first was Monday the 12th. My neighbor and I called on Tuesday the 13th and were told pickup would occur on Tuesday as they weren't able to complete their routes on Monday. My neighbor and I called again on Wednesday because there was no Tuesday pick up either and were told a driver would be out that day (Wednesday). I called on Thursday and was told a driver would be out that day. A driver did finally pick up our Monday trash on Thursday after three calls over three separate days, with no notification from County Waste. The most recent pick up was supposed to be Monday the 2nd. I received an automated call on Monday (2/2) at 9:56AM letting me know that pickup would be delayed until Tuesday. Tuesday no one came to pick up the trash. As with our failed pick upin January, on Wednesday no one came to pick up the trash. On Thursday I called County Waste and spoke with "John" who was not helpful or polite. When I inquired why my service prices had been recently raised but my pickups had been missed twice in the last four pickups he told me flatly that, "The two are not related". He then put me on hold and came back telling me that my trash that's been sitting out all week could be picked up Friday or Saturday. When I pushed the topic of how that made sense that I would have my trash picked up Saturday and then Monday he finally suggested that I could be credited for my Monday pick up that never happened, but only if it wasn't picked up Friday or Saturday. When I asked if it was normal that no one called the first Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to let me know the pick up didn't happen, and that despite a call saying pickup would occur on Tuesday, no one called on this Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, his answer was "Weather makes things complicated". I pushed on why no one had called by Thursday for my Monday trash pickup that sat out all day Tuesday and Wednesday before I called on Thursday afternoon, and was told that the "driver only got that information to us about missed pickups on Wednesday afternoon and it was too late to call anyone." I'm livid that the treatment I received on the phone was so poor and that this level of service seems so normal to John that it did not warrant an apology. His replies suggest that things went exactly as they're suposed to and that I'm supposed to accept multiple missed dates because "weather makes things difficult". There was virtually no snow on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and even if there were a reason for the delays, County Waste used their automated system to call me on Monday, why can't they even both with an automated call or a proper apology on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday?

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Horrible customer service and drivers will not get out of their trucks to pick up garbage. I left a small bag next to the garbage can. They left the bag there and took just what was in the garbage can. When I called customer service, they said: "drivers are not required to pick up garbage left next to garbage can. For the premium price we pay, I feel they could get out of the truck and pickup the one bag I left. This is the difference between crap service and good service. I then told the customer service rep that this was not fair and I should cancel the account if they have lazy drivers who do not do their job properly and her answer was: "Whats your account number? I will cancel you now" I have never had such a bad experience. Not only am I dropping my service but so are all my neighbors. We are switching to Greene County Sanitation.

Rating "F" (A+being highest to F being lowest) at Better Business Bureau. Decided to discontiue their service because they went down hill. They were suppose to pick up the bins at the end of June when I terminated their service. it is 7/9/14 and their trash bin is STILL here. It was supposed to be gone on 7/1, then 7/3, then 7/4(when they assured me that it would be gone) then 7/7 call resulted in postponement to 7/9 pickup..repeated call to 877-7007 resulted in promises that aren't kept. now it is 7/10 and the trashbin is STILL in front of my house. Their service rep has told me that it would be picked up by 7/12, we'll see if that really is the case. Eitherway, I am GLAD that I've terminated their service, I shudder to think what I would have had to deal with if I ever needed extra pickup.
