These guys pulled through once again and got my car back to me the next day. Can't promise they'll do the same for you because it depends on what's going on with the car and how busy they are but I have been nothing but happy every time I brought my car here. They are really nice guys and 100% professional. I know they don't answer their phone every single time ( I've seen other reviews stating the same) I just think the reason why is because they're working on your car or someone else's. they're always working, So leave a voicemail and they will get back to you.....No doubt about it. I recently purchased an almost 10-year-old VW Golf Alltrack and wanted a thorough pre-purchase inspection. I called Chris on a Friday and he was able to get me in first thing Monday morning. I arrived on time and the car was looked at immediately. His team was extremely thorough and clearly knows Volkswagens inside and out.
I had the chance to spend time with Chris, the owner, while the inspection was underway, which was a great experience. It is refreshing to talk with someone who is genuinely passionate about what they do, and Chris truly loves Volkswagens. He took the time to explain the car, pointed out details I would never have noticed, and I learned a lot in the process.
Once everything was finished, Chris and his team walked me through the inspection report and diagnostics in detail. Thankfully everything checked out. There were no upsells, just honesty, transparency, and professionalism. He also talked through longer-term preventive maintenance to be aware of in the coming miles, which I really appreciated.
We are a VW family who recently moved to the area, and I feel very fortunate to have found Last Chance Garage. I will absolutely be back for both of our cars without hesitation.

Have been going to Chris and John for years for my VW 's. Totally honest and priced below our local VW dealer who are rip-offs anyway. They are way more capable than the shop techs at VW. They diagnosed a warranty sludge problem that the dealer could not figure out. So easy to work with. VW dealer makes it seem like they are doing you a favor just to make an appointment. Never buying a new VW again. Just buy used and, let these guys take it from there. Chris even found a problem deep in my dashboard that his mechanic (no longer there) from 4 years ago did not do right. I would never have known if Chris did not bring it up and he fixed it no charge.
Great place the owner seems very honest, took care of the issues on my car. Only reason why I gave it four stars was because they are a little expensive you'll be paying almost dealer prices to have your car worked on. But you get good quality work
Been using them for years. Real car guys who know Audi’s and VW’s, including specialty cars like allroads and VW Campers. Rates are in line and fair. They do not add on unnecessary parts and labor. Highly recommended. Wish they would add on Porsches.
First time there, and had a very good experience. Labor rate is on par with other audi specialists, and the work was done well. I'll be returning for any future work.
These guys are awesome! brought my car twice already for an inspection and timing belt, and the service was exceptional and the price was right. no complaints. I'll continue to go back

Owner Chris and his team are wonderful. I have been taking our Audi's and VW to Last Chance Garage for the past three years and they have always been efficient, knowledgeable and accommodating. Because of their specialized experience with Audi/VW, they are able to accurately and quickly diagnose and fix any and all problems. Chris goes above and beyond like when he recently rescued me and my Audi TT after getting stranded on Route 6 in Mahopac when my water pump gave out. Thanks guys!!!
