They left me high and dry. Accepted a tow through my insurance at 10:30 am with a 35 minute eta. It has been 8 hours they are a no show. People and work were affected. The dispatcher was rude and dishonest... Hang up and putting me on hold

My 2025 SUV MB Rental had a glitch and locked me out of the vehicle with the key on the seat. Enterprise kept trying to send companies through roadside assistance to open the door. NOONE wanted to come out and open my door. They were willing to tow my car to LGA with my personal items but not open my door. I called Lil Pete's on my own 8 hours later, since none of the Enterprise vendors were willing to come out. They sent someone out within a half hour. AJ was a complete angel. He opened my door in 5 minutes. He was such a sweetheart and a complete professional. The price was more than fair. Exactly what I needed after such a terrible day.

Waiting all day, with them saying they would be there in 30 minutes every 30 minutes.they never showed up. Waisted hours on phone. Needed to get another towing company. Don't use them they will lie and say they are not their way when they are no intention of coming.

Promised to show up at 11:02am, called and bob said 40 mins. Called an hour later and they just sent a text saying a tow truck is on the way. It’s almost been 2 hours since the initial promised time. Their excuse is that said it was the rain which it’s very light rain. Avoid them if you can!

Incredibly unprofessional. Wouldn't listen to information I was trying to provide, then when I called a second time after being stuck on the side of the road for two hours, they told me they can't get me and to call the police. Avoid at all costs

Maybe don't be a provider for Roadside assistance if you have to cancel *three times* on people that are waiting 6 hours stuck on the highway that are only 10 mins away from your shop. Just a thought.

Lil Pete picked the service call from All state Roadside assistance for Tire change at Middletown for flat tire. They kept saying they will be there every 40 mins for 3+ hours blocking others from picking up the service call and slammed the phone after multiple calls enquiring what is taking them so long. I would not recommend them for that reason alone as they were not transparent on ETA. I had to call Allstate to change the provider so someone from Middletown was able to pickup the service call and service Tire change within 30 mins. Before switching to other provider looked at Google and Yelp comments, it appears they are either 5* or 1* (hit or miss). Good luck with their service.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY! I reserved a car, waited 1-1/2 hours, shop was closing. NO CAR. I left, called the next morning, still NO CAR. Charged me a "non-refundable fee of $75". Still fighting about the fee.

Scheduled a pickup for their large 4 hour window. Had to take off work. They called in the morning asking if they could come right now instead. I was not home and it would have been tight. Would you believe I was concerned with not making their driver wait? Said lets keep the later window. Was told okay, somebody will come then. Never came. Doesn't answer the phone. Just really inconsiderate of other peoples time. A simple communication could have saved me half a day. Go with a better run business.

It’s not like me to leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I called for assistance and waited over 4–5 hours with no resolution. The updates kept changing — first giving me a specific arrival time, then saying the driver was arriving soon — but no one ever showed up. I was stranded on the highway with my 4-year-old son, trusting this company to be reliable, only to be let down completely. I eventually had to escalate the situation and get help from someone else. This level of service is unacceptable. Do better — it’s clear from all the poor reviews that this isn’t a one-off issue.

Had to share my experience with this company cause this same exact experience happened TWICE. The first time I needed a tow to the dealership they weren’t long BUT the next day I called the dealership to find out if my car was getting fixed, the dealer said “What car we don’t have your car”. Turns out the tow truck company dropped my car off behind the dealership, TOLD NO ONE, and dropped my keys off to the OLD service center in the back, so the dealer had no idea that my car was there. I told my insurance company never send them to me again. Unfortunately there was a second time that my insurance again sent them to me and I didn’t realize until 3 hours later when they finally picked up my car and were supposed to drop it off at the SAME DEALERSHIP. And the same damn thing happened AGAIN!!! So NO I would NEVER recommend!

It would be more accurate to give this negative stars. Waited almost 3 hours with no communication. Insurance company couldn't get a hold of them so after all of that wait, the service was canceled. These guys are a joke, fully careless of your situation and lie about getting back to you "in a few seconds". Do your jobs.

Absolutely horrible! It is now 3:45 pm and I have been waiting for the tow truck since 10:30 am. I keep calling them and they keep telling me they will be here in an hour. Absolutely unreliable. I can't believe I'm still waiting for a tow truck. I already cancelled and hope the next tow truck company is better.

Believe the One-Star Reviews! Find another company! Mercedes scheduled this company to pick up our broken down sprinter. They kept delaying pickup over and over. After 27 hrs of no one picking-up the truck. Mercedes finally fired them from the pick-up, hiring another company who responded in less than a hr. Run away from this company & don't look back. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Awful, awful, awful service. They are the worst. Stay away. I waited over 12 hours, and they never showed up I called their office 2 times, and was told they were coming. Tow truck driver said the day after scheduled pick up, that he did show up, and our car wasn't there. A complete lie. It was clearly in the driveway. We were home, no tow truck pulled in, dog would've barked, an no one came to the door or called. AVOID at all costs! Instead of telling the truth, they decided to play Monday morning quarterback and tell a bunch of ridiculous lies.

Believe the One Star Reviews! Find another company! Yesterday I waited more than 5 hours for a tow because this is the company Allstate roadside assistance went with. After the first ETA window, I called and was told 30 min. After waiting another hour I called back and nobody answered the phone. I had Allstate deal with them the rest of the night and the ETA kept getting pushed back until Allstate recommended the cancelation. I can appreciate that weather may have been a factor (very heavy rains in the area), but after canceling I called a different (and higher rated) tow company and the driver was there in under an hour! I honestly wish I had read these reviews sooner. Don't make my same mistake!

Horrible! Geico chose them as my tow for a flat tire. Originally told 45 min, a time of 6:10pm. I called the dispatcher at 6:30p, when no one showed up. The guy that answered the phone was very rude and hung up. Called Geico each time after that. Arrival time kept changing and every time, no tow truck. I was sitting on the side of Bear Mountain for 3 hours!!!. Never received a call or a tow. After 3 hours, the only place that was open was now closed. I canceled with Geico and called my own tow truck. They showed up in 20 min. I had to have it towed to a shop near my house and paid out of pocket. I will be re-imbursed by Geico, but I do hope that Geico drops them as a partner. Cheaper isn't always better. Emergencies can happen, but so can communication. A female left on Bear Mkuntain for three hours, in the dark!!!!!

Took 3 hours for them to cancel a tow job. They never called me or picked up their phone when I called them. Waited three hours for absolutely nothing. I do not recommend if you want good communication and a dependable company.

I just waited 4 hours for their services just for them to say “45 minutes”. Also when I called and they were asking me questions about my car i told them it was a Jeep and the employee on the phone sarcastically says “oh that’s amazing, what the actual type car” i tell them and then they hang up. I ended up just getting a new company to get me and they got here in 30 minutes or less prior to me calling them. Don’t waste your time or money.

I am not somebody who leaves reviews, but my experience with this company was outstandingly negative. My insurance company selected them for a lockout service and scheduled the service for 9am. I stated clearly in the request that the car was located on a military base so they would either need base access or a visitor pass. My wife and I arrived at 8:30am to meet the technician; but they never arrived. At 9:15 we followed up and were told that the ETA was readjusted to 9:55 because they had to call in the guy who had base access . Annoying, but fine so we stuck around waiting for them. By 10:20, we called again and were told the driver was arriving shortly. At 11:00am I called again and they said the new ETA was 30 minutes and the driver was en route. At this point, I had to leave my wife there and head to work which I was already late for. At 11:45 I called again and they said the driver was arriving shortly, but upon talking to my insurance company, the driver on the map was still over an hour away. I was very polite to the dispatcher answering the phone at lil Pete’s, but he was absolutely deadpan and uncaring about the delays and provided no explanations. I cancelled the request and filed a complaint to remove this garbage company from my Insurance company’s list. I now await their copy/paste response to all of these consistently terrible reviews.

Well, I have to say what my "wonderful" experience here is. I used my roadside assistance with my car warranty to have my car towed after hitting a buck, since the car keep overheating. So, I was connected with them since they happened to be closest towing nearby me. The towing guy was nice and friendly enough if not too eager to get company business. So basically, the puffing his place that they are "preferred" by my insurance company and that my car can be fixed within a week or a week and half. But the catch was they were very far away from me, over 40 miles away from me. Being tried and defeated over the accident, and the tow guy having his boss on the speaker to ensure me the car would be well taken care of, I accepted. Little did I know this spiral in a major nightmare. First my insurance company made it very clear they not preferred like they said they were so I was lied, second, my insurance adjuster could not find the place despite calling card I was given, hell I could not even find it, third I was informed about their BBB page and yelp page and when I read them, I knew I went through the rabbit hole here. So, my insurance company got their preferred towing company to get my car to my insurance preferred shop to get fixed and get me my car back. Nope. Lil Pete's auto did what many others suffered their car being kept in their jail collecting storage fees, they had no intention of fixing my car, only to collect storage fees. My insurance company could not contact Pete's nor could towing company that was helping me could, but when there was a call that got though it took 10 times to reach them and they stalling to give a total on the storage fees so I can "bail my car out of jail". I even called them, and they are very dodgy and did not want to give names of people I needed to reach to speed up the process and definitely felt shady. eventually the company that saved my car did get a price of the storage fees and released my car from their jail house, but just squeeze more money more than week worth of storage fees they offered to tow my car to the preferred shop by insurance, not only did drag their heels and delivery my car after the shop was closed when they had more than 2 and half before they closed, they left my car in the customer/employee lot with keys left in car, rather than key drop box and not near the storage gate to be brought in. Am so happy I will never deal with again, a whole week it was left with them, when it could be worked on, instead I won't get my car fixed till after the holidays, because rather than a customer I was just sucker they could use. These people are absolutely predatory and wanted to get paid for doing nothing. I was preyed on, do yourself a favor and if you have roadside assistance get a company you trust and that local to you as well.

I don’t even write reviews but if I could give them no stars I would. Literally waited over 2 hours for my vehicle to be towed .Mind you have been in the car since 630 am because of progressive, however , the request for this tow trucking company was put in at 9am!!!Then was told the reason for the wait is because on the way to me someone else had a flat tire so they picked up their vehicle first.Does that make sense?I literally have never had a flat tire and this was the most horrible experience because of this company. Then when I spoke up for myself the guy on the phone I spoke with threatened to cancel my tow job. Have they lost their mind!!!! Please do not use them . I only used them because that’s all progressive had . This has been such a horrible experience I will be canceling my policy with progressive as well for even suggesting to use this tow company. If you love your money and time find better elsewhere. Side note : they are still not here

0 stars 4 hour wait time! My car never reached dealership till 48 hrs later, gear skirt ripped n destroyed, sap or glue plastered all over my vehicle. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Lil Pete's is BEYOND PROFESSIONAL! I recommend them highly!!!! If there were more than five stars I would give it to them! Raymond is a true top notch professional. He took tremendous care of my car, my needs and was beyond helpful! If you're looking for stand-up gentlemen and true hard working pros who know what they are doing, you've found them!!! The best!

I highly recommend using these guy’s, during the entire process they were professional and we’re able to get my car on the flat bed without any issues. The driver went out of his way to use driver mats to protect the front end since the car is a little low to the ground and has carbon fiber parts. Not only did he use the mats to protect the car but the ramps he used were extremely helpful in ensuring my Lexus wouldn’t get damaged. If you love your car the way I do and need someone to get your car to your desired destination please give Lil Petes a call, I recommend giving the driver who came out on 2/16/22 around 6am a good raise. 10/10 service

This was my first time using Lil Pete’s through my insurance. Joey was phenomenal! He was just as bamboozled as I was trying to figure out how the caliper came clean off the wheel. Needless to say with the front driver side wheel being locked he got it to reverse onto the bed. Getting the car down was the tricky part but he did it with a Hail Mary and grace. The following day I requested a tow to get my explorer to a shop and Joey arrived again and handled EVERYTHING for me. He was personable and professional, reliable and timely, had great communication, he educated me in a few things in regards to what to do if something like this was to ever happen again — He assured me I would always have reverse, neutral and park. I’m extremely appreciative and In a heartbeat I’d recommend Lil Pete’s to anyone in need of a tow! They are now my go to for any future needs. From a satisfied and grateful customer. Happy new year!
