This company is the worse. Does anyone know of any company around there are that actually does there job. They have been lying from the beginning about coming and picking up the garbage especially the drivers when I call the secretaries statements are the driver marked it off as they came. I will give you a ticket number. It would be 24 to 72 hours. Don’t ask to have someone call you back cause then you get again I will give you a ticket number. They will call you back at 24 to 72 hours and guess what nobody comes. Nobody calls Garbage sits and rots Let alone that I live next to a church actually on the property so it looks disgusting especially on Sunday service. I am getting a petition in this area to boycott waste management for working in this district. If I can or at least get people to change companies, I will be going above and beyond to make something happen. I’m gonna start with all the way from Ulster County offices to as high as I can go. If I have to do social media videos, I will do whatever I need to be done. I pay for a service and I don’t get my service done at all. I’m sick and tired of the lies. They said they came put your garbage out. Will be there. Someone will call you back all the way from the secretaries to the people who drive the trucks they all need to Be replaced as well as the whole company needs to be replaced There are multi billion dollar company so These reviews or any of these calls probably won’t mean nothing at the end,

If I could give them a zero or a -0 I would They never come. I have to call at least once a month to complain. They’ll tell you to do one thing and do another. They didn’t pick the garbage up on Saturday. I called up. They told me to put it out. They’ll be there in 24 hours to 72 hours guess what today’s Friday five days later six days later hi Garbage is just adding up but they want their money. I called corporate in Texas. They don’t call you back. Nobody calls you back. They’ll tell you. I’ll have a manager call you back. They don’t call you back. Nobody does and all the girls stay on the phone is. I’m sorry. I’ll put a ticket in for you. I am looking for another Garbage company that does the Ellenville area if anybody has any suggestions on a company that will actually come pick up the garbage that you pay for the service I will be putting a petition out on my streets if I can find a Garbage company that I can have everyone I know change to. I know this review doesn’t mean nothing because there are multibillion company and they don’t give a hell about nobody. Now you don’t write reviews, but they are horrible

If you don’t need your trash picked up every week great company. If you close your account they delay giving you a refund! A+++++

Absolute disgusting and unprofessional company. From start to finish, it has been more than a hassle than it should be, considering it’s just garbage removal. They make any excuse not to come to pick up on their scheduled day and will not schedule an alternative day if/when missed (which is constant). When they do pick up, it’s inconsistent and sloppy. They will not issue credit for areas that are due to their own issues or overlooks. Their service on call team is the absolute most unprofessional team I have ever come in contact with. When you’re already dealing with an unprofessional inconsistent crew actually providing the service and then have to call and deal with even worse people there’s absolutely no reason to continue or to utilize this company for this service when there are some other options in the area.

one two three strikes you’re out! not only did these incompetent garbage men miss my pick up two seperate times, the last time they missed it they had rescheduled our pick up the day before. so after pushing my full trash cans through the snow TWO TIMES in a day, they still missed the pick up. I called for them to straight up tell me, no we’re not coming today. no apology, no concern. then they hung up on me. if you’re looking for a reliable trash pick up, stay far away from these chuckleheads. they are the real trash

We love County Waste! After a horrendous experience with WM, we were so relieved to find CW. They never miss a beat and are always on time, neat, and easy to work with.

Worse company ever. Never pick up Like they are supposed to after a holiday so you have to wait another full week and 1 day cause there is another holiday the following week. Tried to contact them today they are closed because of weather and the advisory for their area is until 10 am.

County Waste has been doing a great job the past 4 years I have had them. The drivers are always on time and neat. Very fair pricing.

Multiple problems over the years with missed pickups and recycling and trash being dumped into one truck that has a single hopper. I know this because the 900-series trucks picked up my street and they don't have dual hoppers. Monday, OCT 20th... The county was paving the street in front of my house, so the recycling truck skipped picking up my can. Mon-Fri, OCT 20-24... I left my can out because OBVIOUSLY there was recycling to pickup up thinking a truck would come back but they did not. Instead, I had to call the office. Thurs, OCT 23... I called the office to report the missed pickup, I was told they would try to get a truck out there but might not given end of the week. Because my can was full, I was told to place my overflow recycling in cardboard boxes and clear bags next to the can and that it would be picked up Monday. Mon, OCT 26... One week after missed pickup, ONLY the recycling in the can was picked up. The stuff in boxes was left at the curb, the driver did not get out of the truck to pick up. Tue, OCT 27... I called the office AGAIN to report that the boxes were left on the side of the road. I was told that dispatch in Montgomery would have it picked up in the next 24-48 hours and I placed the recycling the PREVENT the recycling from blowing all over the yard which I had to clean up. Mon-Fri, OCT 26-31... Recycling can by the road for a second week awaiting pickup. Wed., OCT 29.. I called the office to CONFIRM the can would be picked up because they did not come in the first 24 hours. I was told my pickup was scheduled for Thurs, OCT 30. I asked them would it be for sure because high winds were coming and I didn't want to have to pick up all the blown recycling again. The representative said, "for sure". FRI, Oct 31, 9am... I called to report that the can was not picked up AGAIN (call number 4). The lady on the phone put me on hold and called dispatch in Montgomery. She came back and said they would definitely be there that day. I told the lady on the phone, "This is my 4th call, if it does not get picked up today I will post a Google Review of my experience and cancel my service that I am not getting anyway." She said, "I promise you sir, it will be picked up today." SO BY 4:15pm it was not picked up, and so I called in to get an update. At 4:20, the after hours message picked up even though County Waste says they are open until 4:30, so I could not talk to anyone. The wind blew the recycling all over the yard again which I had to pick up. I took my own trash and recycling to the Orange County Transfer station and signed up with Interstate Waste, a smaller and more personal company. Interstate has a new state of the art recycling system in Kearny NJ and they really do recycle and pick up. IW also allows one overflow pickup per month at no extra charge. Evergreen (county waste) has gotten too big and too corporate their customers are obviously just numbers.

I've read other reviews here saying (1) overpriced and (2) unreliable pickup service. My experience so far has been (1) about half the price I was paying Waste Management and (2) they've made the pickup on the designated day about 5 times and delayed it one day 2 times. Compared to my WM experience, CW is very reliable. I'm thinking they all raise their prices every year and by exorbitant amounts, so don't stick with any one company for a decade. But so far, so good, here in our first year with them. No complaints so far about the pickups, but the company we had before them was particularly unreliable. I'm thinking the difference may be that while 60% of my neighborhood has CW, only about 5% (down from 20% a few years back) has WM, so it's not an for CW option to skip our entire street (and skip 25 pickups) as happened so often with WM when we were eventually the only remaining pickup here after everyone else had left them.

Way over priced compared to their local competitors and it just keeps going up, horrible service & customer service, trucks leak oil all over the street and they say they will send someone out to clean it up and they never showed up. Cancelled service and scheduled can pick up and again never showed up to retrieve their pails, Twice! I would not recommend this company. Far more affordable companies out there with better overall service. We Live in Orange County NY.

This company, very often, misses pick ups. I have had the driver go as far as lying saying our cans were not out. I even pay extra to have a strap due to our bear problem. When they miss pick ups, you then have to wait for the next one. Which is a week later. Then you are asked to put the extra bags next to the can, however, if animals get into it… we then have to pick it up.

THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN CHARGING US $172.00 a month for NORMAL GARBAGE/RECYCLE PICKUP!!!!!!!!!! This would cost any other person around $40-50 a month!!!! These guys have constantly skipped our garbage in the past for no reason. Then we call and ask why they took our recycling but NOT garbage and they said they were on a 1 day delay. Sorry you didn’t have enough room for one can of garbage but were able to take recycling?? Not to mention the girl we spoke with was not pleasant to speak to. Where’s the customer service you should provide to your customers??? Not happy with their service…I’ll be looking elsewhere.. NO WONDER THEY HAVE A 2.5 star review!!

If you are looking to pay expensive garbage service with the worst customer service I recommend them. If not stay away from this company. They deliver broken garbage containers, they keep saying they will fix it but don’t do anything. Just extremely unprofessional service.

I cancelled this company because too often they pass our homes claiming the garbage cans are not out front. Well guess what, I have cameras all over my home and they are liars and so I called them out and cancelled. Now its been 2 months and they have not picked up their waste of time cans. Stay away from this company, I also called other competitors and they are much more friendly and cheaper. STAY AWAY PEOPLE.

My one can of garbage is NEVER PICKED UP! WORST COMPANY EVER! Do NOT use them! Not even worth one star. Even when you call, they do not follow through. Complete WASTE OF MONEY and they should be REPORTED to the BBB! They don’t do what they say they will do. I live in Orange County NY. They failed to pick up three days in a row after weeks of inconsistent pickups. Bear came and spread my garbage all over the neighborhood. Even with a bear lock. I called three days in a row asking why I was NOT picked up as scheduled and promised someone would come. They NEVER came. Even with Bear lock our community has lots of bears. Despite the importance of being picked up this company DOES NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO. I CANCELED SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN. Changing to Roll Off Joe! And you should too! COUNTY WASTE IS A TERRIBLE GARBAGE COMPANY!!!! Will use company in picture below. Heard they were reliable.

The worst!!!! Absolutely the worst and least reliable garbage pick up service EVER!!! Do NOT do business with them!!! They fail to pick up almost every week. Even when you call, they fail to send drivers, after they “put in a ticket” I pay $150 every three months for nothing but overflowing cans, and frustration!!! STAY AWAY. Customer service is not reliable. The worst company to do business with. I have two homes. One in Orange County and one in Columbia county and I just canceled service forever with them. Terrible company!!!

David Starr had the Dumpster dropped off in a timely manner and placed exactly how i needed it to not impede the flow of my driveway. Priced accurately and picked up on time. David was very helpful and knowledgeable and helped me pick the right size dumpster for the job.

Dave Star from County Waste just happened to stop at our house asking us about garbage pickup and we weren't interested but we were looking for a dumpster for cleaning up the sheds and yard. He was very helpful and he set up the details everything ran smoothly. He kept in contact to make sure. I was very pleased with the service and price. I would definitely recommend county waste.

We've been with CW for 5 years and have never had a problem. Dispatch is always pleasant & pick up is on time every week. They will send reminders especially on holiday weeks where pick up is pushed back a day or 2. Today, our driver even backed up after they had passed because he saw me (literally running!) down the driveway with the cans. It's the little considerations that mean a lot and we appreciate CW and their hard working employees that care.

I’ve used three separate garbage companies since moving into my house, and county waste is, by far, the best one. They send text messages when service is delayed (due to holidays) to keep me updated and informed and they have the best prices. David Starr is a pleasure to work with. He has gone out of his way to help me get new cans, provide quotes for dumpsters, and make the overall experience terrific. I plan on staying with County Waste forever because of David Starr!

Always on time, no issues with with service. They send holiday change texts, even get an occasional call from rep Dave Starr just checking in which makes you feel like they do appreciate your business. Great service company. Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you to our weekly driver! Hes reliable & Consistent! We switched over to County Waste after enduring crappy experience from our previous waste company & I’m so happy we went with county waste. Living in the woods provides seclusion; however, it always provides messes from local wildlife, which often gets into our trash bins. Having a consistent driver provides us with the ability to clean up the mess & still get our bins out on time & trash picked up. Thank you for the professional, consistent, reliable services the drivers are providing

They’re great at collecting money, but not so reliable at collecting trash or returning money they shouldn’t have charged. Used CW for 5 years. Sometimes the driver would miss our cans on pickup day. then prices were increasing significantly so I canceled service. Took 6 weeks and 4 calls to get cans picked up for return. Meanwhile they charged me $150 for not returning the cans. It’s now been 13 weeks and 4 more calls and I still haven’t received the refund yet. Customer service just apologizes and says the check is on its way.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against County Waste for their repeated failure to deliver the services they have promised and their lack of responsiveness to customer concerns. For several weeks now, County Waste has failed to pick up my garbage on the set schedule. Specifically, during the month of December, I was informed that I would be charged for six pickups; however, they only performed two. Despite acknowledging this, the company still intends to bill me for the full six pickups, stating that they drove to my home six times to pick up my garbage and it was not outside, when in fact they DID NOT even make the attempt. Additionally, I have an unresolved claim regarding my garbage shed, which was damaged by the garbage truck driver on several occasions to the point where it is now unrepairable. I have called County Waste more than a dozen times to address this issue, but management has failed to return any of my calls. Their lack of responsiveness and refusal to take accountability is both unprofessional and unacceptable. Customer service at County Waste appears to disregard the concerns of its customers entirely. Their inability to resolve these ongoing issues has caused me considerable frustration, and I feel I have exhausted all efforts to resolve the matter directly with the company. I would never recommend this company or their "services" to anyone. If I could give County Waste ZERO stars I would. - EXTREMELY Frustrated Customer

Driver can’t drive called and complained keeps taking out my rock wall watch him do it and now another pick up day ( don’t even have service with them othered around me do ) you can see his tire marks he even broke apart the black top worse then it already was from the last couple times he came down

Two weeks and my trash has not been picked up… Brand new customer.. thanks for making my new house a dump guys 👍🏼 Update - we called and were told that our trash would now be picked up in the third week. Signed on with Lamela, they are getting us cans same day (County took 2 weeks) and clearing out what County was supposed to pick up for the last 2 weeks.
