Wide selection of wedding cards, probably 100+ options, but not a single one for same-sex couples. Disappointing for a major chain in 2026. Staff seemed non-phased when I asked.
A guy who wear a black Tom Ford glasses seemly to be the GM here is having a terrible attitude toward the customers. After being informed the average wait time to get the gift to get wrapped is 2 hours, I decided to wrap myself at the shop. After another nice woman staff helps me put my thing inside of the box, this gentleman appears and demands me with an extremely rude, arrogant, high pitching and annoying voice "You Have To Pay First!" Excuse me, your staff puts my things in the box first and I thought I can start to put things together and now I have to take everything out just to pay your stupid $20? Not even to mention the shop fails to deliver a prompt gift wrap service, which is opposite to their publicity (Yes, We can wrap it for you!!) such warm isn't it? and this wannabe manager is still having such a terrible attitude toward the customer given failed service just depends on people needs to buy gift box anyways during holiday season? Please avoid.
There's no organization with the shop, understanding it's holiday season but they can't have enough people to do the gift wrapping. Come on, treat your customers better when you make money during holiday.
Terrible and arrogant attitude with terrible service. The only thing good in the personality in the guy is maybe the Tom Ford glasses on his face, which doesn't seem to quite match the professionalism but only condescendence and pretentiousness.
They wrapped everything perfectly, so beautiful. Helped me choose the gifts and really took their time with it. Everything was done with great attention to detail. The staff was very kind and the service was fast. Overall an amazing experience
Although I was a little disappointed the last time I visited, I usually recommend this store for good greeting cards. Not just your ordinary cards but some extraordinary. I had a hard time picking anything but I assume it was because their shelves were overloaded with Halloween ornaments, cards, etc.
What a lovely shop. So many beautiful items to choose from, wonderful place to shop for personal stationary and gifts! And the staff was extremely kind and helpful!

Paper Source at 75 5th Ave is a super cute store with tons of options if you're into stationery, gifting, and crafts. The aesthetic is charming and the layout makes browsing fun and inspiring. They carry a wide range of beautiful paper goods, cards, wrapping materials, and unique little gifts.
That said, the prices are definitely on the high side. For example, a small pack of tissue paper is $4.99, while you can get a pack of 100 (same brand!) on Amazon for just $6.99. I also saw guest signature books priced at $90—which, while gorgeous, seems excessive for what it is.
Overall, it’s a fun place to explore or pick up something special in a pinch, but if you're looking to buy in bulk or save money, it’s worth checking elsewhere first.
I was worried as to whether Paper Source would have A4 paper, so I called ahead so that we wouldn't have to make a trip for no reason. The woman who answered the phone said she would go check. She said she was looking right at it, and they did have A4. For that reason, and that reason alone, we went all the way up there. Lo and behold, they did not have A4, and the woman at the desk, who was another woman, said they did not have A4, and had never had it in the ten years she had been working there. I said that I had been tricked, and she said that I hadn't, but I had. Rarely have I ever received such poor service from any business.
My real father would never take me to a place like this (he thought it was too feminine). This is my first chance to see decorative papers.
I hope nobody thought I was weird or strangely unlikable.
This place was good but it didn’t hold up to my expectations, which honestly, were pretty dang high. Extremely high. I would look at these places as we drove by and yearn. “Oh that would be so cool. That would be so cool,” I would say to myself in the car. Turns out it’s fine. And that’s totally okay.
The space is a little tight especially with many people (it's the holiday season). They have a really incredible array of greeting cards and boxed cards, and gifting supplies like wraps and ribbons, which is why I went there. They also have a really nice assortment of fun gifts. I didn't realize the holiday card box sets were buy one get one, but the cashier told me and let me go pick out another box. I really appreciate that. Worth a stop if you like to make an experience out of gift giving.
Best customer service I received in my life. They brainstorm with you on gifting methods, give you advice on the alternatives, and go out of their way to meet your needs. Every employee in the store helped me in one way. It's a shame I didn't get the names. Will definitely be coming back!
Daniela is truly outstanding! The way she meticulously packed all my gifts was nothing short of phenomenal. She guided me through the vast store with incredible options. Daniela went above and beyond, picking out the perfect gift-wrapping paper and wrapping everything just the way I wanted.
Just found this shop, needing to get a card whilst visiting. It’s just lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The lady was so kind and the items I bought were of wonderful quality. Highly recommend.
The only card shop that's still around to have the cutest holiday cards and gifts. You can find the best gift for the appropriate occasion. A little pricy but worth the expression of the person your giving the gift to
I usually shop Paper Source products online, but I decided to visit in-person this weekend while in Greenwich Village. This location is so adorable and has a wide selection of cards, stationary products, and cute gifts! The staff were really sweet, they made sure I found everything I needed during my visit. I had a great experience and will definitely return!
Paper Source products are always beautiful and excellent quality which sadly cannot be applied to some of their store customer service. I usually shop online but this was a last minute purchase so I decided to pickup up a birthday card at the store. I ordered a card the night before but the original store called me and said that they don't have it in stock and referred me to 75th & 5th Ave location where they have it. I went there at 10am and started asking the staff about the card I'm looking for and the male employee took me to the birthday card section. Couldn't find it on the shelf so I went back to the checkout desk and started asking again mentioning that the other store told me the card was in stock at 75th & 5th. Gentleman's response was "well just because other store's computer screen shows the number doesn't mean we have it in stock". Wooow... I understand a lot of people pass by and things get sold out fast (as a female employee kindly explained to me) and the system update might be behind but cutting customers like that without offering a solution is extremely rude and unprofessional. If youre not feeling like helping at the very least try to phrase it in a nicer way maybe? Luckily for me, the same female employee offered to look for the card in the box and found it, which I'm greatly thankful for.
I called a few paper source retail locations around Manhattan and was given the best customer service by this store via phone. The young lady that assisted me, Myra, was super knowledgeable and was able to help me gauge what they had in stock for pens without having to step foot in the store.
Helpful staff. They're dog friendly, as well. Avoid right before Christmas and you'll have a great experience. The clearance between aisles isn't always great, so watch out for your bags bumping into the displays.
This paper source is my favorite in the city, unexpectedly big and well-laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful; I mentioned a cafe when I was checking out and both employees chatted with me about how they’d been there as well. I was in and out within a few minutes with a couple of cute graduation presents for my sister.
Excellent products. Great gift wrapping options. They also have a cool balloon station. I encourage you to take one of their workshop classes. Awesome creative hand lettering class.
Great gift ideas ,notepaper,cards,helpful staff but poorly arranged displays especially in the front of the store where if there is a line the entry into the store is blocked by a large round display and even a small line of three people wraps around this display making it difficult to get around the front area and making the store seem crowded when it is not,meanwhile the back of the store is more open and easier to get around but NOT Easy to get around in if u are handicapped as the displays are way too close together if u walk with a cane ,forget about coming in with a scooter at all,much less a cane or crutches,not handicapped friendly because of these poor merchandising of their front end displays. Too bad because I love the items they carry.
Spacious, good selections. Multipe products in Black Friday circular which should have already been on shelves late Thursday were still not on display Saturday, but were in the storeroom. Multiple staff members were not even aware What was in the flyer. Management training opportunity here. Too many staff members talking to one another instead of roaming the store asking customers questions or stocking product.
