I have a vintage Rolex that has been passed down for generations. It wasn't working properly and needed repair. Rolex themselves weren't able fix it due to its age. SWD's watchmakers got it running like new!

Let me start off by saying that I was extremely skeptical buying anything on 47th Street. I stopped in about a month ago and saw a beautiful neo-vintage Rolex Kermit in their window which drew me in. I met Emmanuel and his brother and they instantly made me feel like I was a very valued person coming in. After looking at nearly 70 different stones at multiple family “hook ups” and just simply not being blown away I was ready to settle on a particular diamond. Some late night Chrono24 sleuthing made me stumble onto Sea Wave Diamonds. During a trip to look at some diamonds at another retailer on 47th, I decided to stop in and look at the watch I was eyeing online.
Over the 3 or so months of searching, I was used to the feeling of walking into a jeweler and being treated as though my non-six-figure purchase is not worth the jewelers time, or, even worse, that the jeweler is trying to take advantage of a customer’s lack of knowledge or experience. Constantly being told, “that imperfection won’t be visible,” “this is a great stone” and “it may be gone tomorrow.” Only for the retailer to countlessly try to upsell stones that were bigger, clearer, or brighter obviously at higher prices.
Greeted by Emanuel (one of the owners) I instantly had the polar opposite experience. Walking into SeaWave, I mentioned that I may be looking for a diamond while admiring the watches I was looking at online. Instead of jumping down my throat with every sales tactic, I was treated like an educated consumer, whom SeaWave wanted to earn as a customer, and not just sell them some jewelry. After several text messages, being very particular on what I was looking for, and what I would be willing to sacrifice, Emanuel was able to bring out several stones that were dead on to my specs, just substantially more brilliant than the others I have looked at.
If this was basketball those were the three pointers. When he pulled out the final stone which was one he thought would be perfect, matching my color and FAR exceeding my size and clarity requirements, for basically the same money... blindfolded, behind-the-back, half-court swish!
But seriously, I walked in there to drool over some watches, with no intention of buying a single thing and ended up discovering a gem (get it?). Both Emanuel and his brother Alex are gentlemen that know the craft, know the business, and understand the customer. I obsess over details and am a perfectionist at heart and SeaWave dotted every one of my i’s and crossed each and every t. Not only have they been able to create the most perfect ring imaginable for us, they truly have customers for life, and everyone will be pointed their direction because of their prices, respect, and integrity.
Oh, and as a reward for all my hard work, I bought myself a watch while I was at it too. :D
Buying a wedding engagement ring, proposing, and planning a wedding was extremely stressful... and with so many options in the diamond district, where to start?
