First time coming to this place. I believe the guys name is George. Very polite. I had an oil change scheduled. Got me in and out in less than 30 minutes it seemed like. The wait time was pleasant. Had me, George and another customer just shooting the shit. Three generations of guys just conversating about a common interest. It was nice. And the oil change wasn’t expensive either. Would recommend them to anybody.
Needed new tires during this harsh 2025-2026 winter and Monroe not only saved me over $600 compared to the dealerships and other places, but they also took me in without having to create an appointment. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough. Best decision I made to get new tires for a 2021 SUV that requires 20 inch tires. If you want the best and to save $$, go to Monroe!

The new answering service that Monro (not the shops, but corporate) implemented is horrendous and makes setting up an appointment impossible; they'll act as if you're a new customer and ask for your email, phone number, etc even though it's all in their system already and the connection is always terrible, so good luck conveying all that information to them.
Just beg them to patch you through to the mechanic directly. They'll give you sass but eventually they'll do what you ask.
George was able to take me the day of my issue, was able to diagnose and fix within a few hours. Always have had a great experience with the whole team and will only trust my car with them.
I needed a quick fix for one of my tires that was slowly deflating. Brought it to George at Monroe auto service who took me immediately, accurately assessed the problem, and replace my courier tires right away. While I waited, I had a wonderful conversation with George and one of his team, that made the time pass quickly. I couldn’t have been more pleased, and I recommend Monroe tire without reservation.
The receptionist treated me very well the whole time, but the workers didn't do a proper wheel alignment. They returned my car to me in the same condition, so I went back and they checked it again. This time it was fine, but my things inside the van were all jumbled up, like they'd been racing. I take great care of my tools and keeping my van tidy, and they did it on purpose. I'll never go back.
I was out of town in Poughkeepsie i live in the capital region went to visit my
Mom and one of my stem valves was bad. i meant to get it fixed before driving down that friday . Sat morning i called monroe told them i had new sensors just needed them installed told me to come & had it done in 2 hours and codes off the dash . Great service
George always satisfies. When I need my car fixed he can fit me in his busy schedule. His charges are reasonable [even cheap] and his service is prompt.

I was disappointed that they couldn't repair my tire, but George went out of his way to find me the cheapest tires in order to save me money. It was much appreciated! It was all done in one day, which was great!
No matter when I go to that location, George always so polite and so positive. He is the sole reason that people return to this location for every service. If he opened his own shop, every auto repair center would be Shaking in their boots!He takes the time to make you feel like a human being and make sure you are informed about your service. I would most certainly go back anytime somethings wrong with my car and I always recommend them when someone is asking if I know anywhere to go.

We pulled into Monroe Muffler with a pipe dragging on the ground and George not only put our car back together so we could complete a two hour drive back to where we live...he did it without charging us. I've been going to George at Monroe Muffler Brake since 1997. I've brought a variety of unusual cars with unusual problems to him and it's never been a mystery. No matter how random of a problem I've had, no matter how rare the car I've brought to him, George has instantly known what's wrong, every time. From a tiny squeak heard while pulling my daily driver in for an oil change, he immediately/accurately warned me of a soon-to-fail ball joint. Having lost a wheel due to a bad ball joint once, I'm very thankful to have someone trustworthy and skilled as George on my side. Thank you for 21yrs of excellent service!
