I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. I called, thinking my snowblower wasn’t working, and with a massive storm about to hit, they came right over without hesitation. It turned out to be operator error on my part — but instead of making me feel silly, they were incredibly kind and patient. They took the time to walk me through how everything works, gave me a quick lesson (I learned that gas isn't good forever ?‍♀️), and made sure I was completely set before they left. Truly the nicest people, professional, responsive, and genuinely caring. In a moment of stress, they showed up with expertise and kindness.

WOW! This place deserves 10 Stars. What a great place! We had 3 different generators that needed service. Brian and Keith are so professional and men of their word! They picked up the units at my home. Assessed them in a timely manner. They called me to get my approval on the quote to fix them. Keith is all over it. He kept me informed and explained in detail the work that was being done. I was happy to pay for their services knowing it was absolutely worth it! In addition, the pick up and delivery service is a 10! They actually show up when they say they are coming. Most important, they can be trusted. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I had the most extraordinarily wonderful experience at Fairfield Power and Equipment. I called and spoke with Keith regarding a damaged blade holder for my lawnmower. I unsuccessfully tried locating the part. The part was not available or out of stock every where I contacted. Kieth located the part and ordered it for me. He let me know to come and pickup the part and also asked that I also bring the blade to inspect. The blade needed to be sharpened and straightened as he suspected. I waited a couple of weeks before putting the part back on. The parts dimensions were off. I called Kieth and he asked me to come back with the lawnmower and new part. The new part had the correct part number but was not correct. Fortunately the damaged part was not picked up for recycling at his shop. Kieth repaired the old part and tuned up the lawnmower on the spot without hesitation. He wanted to make sure I had a functioning lawnmower. Kieth did all the work right in front of his shop. It is also important that I am a single father of 2 autistic young adults who were waiting in the vehicle. He was aware of this based on my initial visit to his shop. Kieth was extremely compassionate, praised them and thanked them for being so patient. He went well above and beyond my expectations. I can't thank him enough. From my daughters and myself, thank you very much Kieth.

We have a ride on that was having trouble running. Keith and I spoke for a minute and he gave me great advice. Went home and got my tractor running. For two minutes, then it threw a rod right out the side of the block. Spoke to Kieth again, he quoted me for a new engine. After the engine came in, he picked up the tractor and had it back in under a week. It works flawlessly. I am so glad I met Keith, really good man, business owner. Don’t hesitate, call today!

Great service and competitively priced. No idea why anyone would purchase a mower or snowblower from a big box store when this option is available.

Keith and Bryan know their stuff! 2 great guys in the business to keep landscaper's in the Garden state well equipped and up and running! Their knowledge of landscaping equipment is unmatched and can repair just about anything that comes to their shop,They also sell parts and new equipment from lawn mowers to tractor's to Zero turns to weed whackers to chain saws and hedge trimmers and snow blowers, if you want a great repair shop for all your landscaping needs or need a repair on your old lawn mower held together with duck tape ,This is the place to go , Tell them Spike sent you !

Snowblower would not propel when lever was engaged last week. Called and spoke with Keith who was able to suggested I try a few things and call him back if needed. I called back couple of days later, blower still not working! Keith advised I try greasing the chain. Sure enough the blower works now!! Thank You Keith and Fairfield Power Equipment! Highly recommend!!

Dropped off Backpack blower to get tune up and replace some missing parts. Told me 2 weeks. Got a call in couple days it was ready. Took it home and cleaned up yard. Hums like new. Thank you!!

Reviews are a fickle thing. Most folks operate with dubious ethics. Get what they want, they are happy. Get what they need, and maybe not so happy. And sometimes one catches the person on the other end of the phone on a bad day, and thusly doesn’t get the best of that person, sometimes they get the opposite. Sometimes the person on the other end is indeed a reprobate as their standard function, those are the worst. Today was a good day as it goes…… I got Mr. Keith. I was all set to either bring my snowblower down to the first place I called a few days earlier convinced that I had a broken part in my drive mechanism. I explained the situation to a lady on the phone and she said, sounds like you need xyz, you just drop it off and we will get to when we can. Well, today I took a shot and called Fairfield Power Equipment, mainly because the business picks up and drops off…. I explained my situation to Keith and he asked a series of thoughtful questions and after calmly and respectfully doing so, explained that my problem was very minor and that I can do it myself. He then walked me through it. Seriously sage advice, at no monetary cost and without any superiority complex. Keith, you are a good person. We need more of you. Thank you very much. Saved me money and time, and that is priceless.

Great customer service, very fast turn around on my snowblower.. I have a generic model, and they were still able to get replacement parts quickly….

My snowblower has been serviced by Fairfield Power Equipment for years. Last week I finally got around to throwing some gas in it and starting it up. Wouldn’t turn over. Tried again on Saturday thinking I may have flooded it- nothing. Wouldn’t turn over. Just missed them. They closed about a half hour earlier for the weekend. Called first thing this morning and got them just as they were opening. I said “I know the storm is coming tonight and my chances are likely 0.1%, but we’ve worked with you guys for years and figured I’d ask if there was any chance that you could pick up and make my snowblower work before tonight? He said he could pick it up, but there was zero chance he could get it back to me before tomorrow. We went shopping and came back. Just sitting down to dinner at 7:30pm I get a call. It was Fairfield Power. The blower was done and if I looked in the driveway I’d see it!!! He didn’t even know what the charge would be yet. He just wanted to make sure I had it before the storm!! Now THAT is old school customer service personified!!! If you don’t ask (nicely), you don’t get!! Fairfield Power Equipment-96 Plymouth Street in Fairfield!! Couldn’t recommend them any higher!!

Bought a big Toro PowerMax Snowblower from Brian a year ago. Great selection and pricing and he delivered the machine to my house 10 miles away. They even took and scrapped an old mower I had in the garage. This past week I tried to get the snowblower running but alas, it wouldnt start. Called Brian twice and he walked me through some steps to remove the old gas and spark plug and I finally got it working. He could have simply charged me to pick it up and fix it at his shop (which I would have gladly paid) but instead was patient and understanding of my desire to fix it myself because, well….I was the idiot who didnt follow his instructions for summer storage. Saved me an expensive transport and repair bill and now has a customer for life! (Which HE might regret).

These guys are great. They came and picked up my broken mower the same day I called. Quoted me $50 for roundtrip pick up and drop off (plus whatever the repair cost would be obviously). Got back to me two days later saying the mower was totaled but that they wouldn't charge to scrap it or for the pick up. Great customer-first business practice!

These folks are awesome! Not only is their service excellent (they amazingly resurrected an inherited piece of equipment) and knowledgeable, but their prices are more than reasonable! They are my family's go-to! Guys ... thank you for all that you do to keep us running!!!

Customer service isn't the best but they got my snow blower carburetor done in no time and works like new!! Judging by the dozens and dozens of small engines they had in service in the front lawn and inside the warehouse at that time they must be very good at what they do!

I'm happy we found this place. It's close to the house and the owner/salesman there was very nice, educated about all his equipment that he has for sale. Decently priced as well, and he was kind enough to put in the trunk of our car since we are disabled that was a great help for us. Truly great service!

Very helpful. They seem to be familiar with just about any kind of equipment and where to get needed parts. They also can pick up equipment so they can work on it in their shop. Reliable & knowledgeable. I definitely would recommend them to repair equipment.

I needed a part for a very old snowblower in the form of a gasket for the carburetor. I called they said they might have the part I went there and he came out and handed me the exact part I needed for a 1967 snowblower. Before you call anywhere else, before you go anywhere else, if you have an older or a newer snowblower or small engine repair need call them first that's what I'm doing from here on in outstanding service p

Keith & his crew are the best. Reasonably priced & reliable...what more can you ask for ?? You may occasionally find a better price at the big box stores... But you will never be treated better than you will at Fairfield Power Equipment. I have been a proud client of theirs for over 15 years and I'm thrilled at their success.

I brought my non-functional Generac generator to Keith right before the blizzard in March 2018. Two weeks later I picked it up and got a long reminder about appropriate fuel (premium) and storage (do not leave fuel in the generator). I am very happy that I took it there. When the storm hit, the generator started on one pull (that was a first, even when it was brand new). It then ran 4 straight days without a break, keep my family warm and safe! I have Keith and Fairfield Power Equipment to thank!

First off my equipment looked like it wasn't even touched, they told me it would be a $40 fee to look at it and call me with what additional work is needed. They never called me. A week went by I called at 4:30 they said there closing in a few and would call me next day for prices and what is needed.....no call. I call back week later and still nothing so I told them I'll pick it up next day on wed. Well I got tied up, but I get a call on Thursday saying If I'm going to pick up I said yes I will today. All of sudden they call clients so my phone isn't broken. Then I get there and give me a bill for $50??? I asked why he said "who told you 40-50 dollars"? I said the guy next to you so he just gave me an excuse about reseting something on cover. Yea sure I am in the automotive business for past 15 years owned and operated we get a lot of clients who have gotten run around by other shops just to make a buck. These people are out for a quick buck that's all I can say. I even asked if he can give me a deal on fixing it after all this time he said it's not worth it on those engines. So why didn't you let me know not to waste my $40 your $50 fee from the door.

Incredible Little Shop - Very impressed with the serviced I received on my dad's stubborn snow blower. The old Snapper i522 now starts up on the first pull and powers through everything. So much quieter now too. Excellent work guys Thanks.

Brought my riding mower in for replacement of the spindles. The work was completed, however, Keith found additional problems with the mower. A blown head gasket which he replaced. There were other problems that Keith identified and repaired as well. When the bill was presented Keith comped me for some of the additional work. I found Keith to be honest and a master mechanic as well. He did an outstanding job on my Lawn tractor. I highly recommend Fairfield Power Equipment and will not hesitate to do business with them in the future. I recommend them without reservation.
