Robbie and Eli, two great dudes. I use CHHJ often for my business, always a pleasure. Easy to work with, great communication and easy payment process.

I know they are franchised but the guys I use in Northern NJ are always awesome. They show up on time, polite, friendly, and careful with our furniture. This last time they helped with moving my mother-in-law out of her apartment and expertly moved the furniture in 15 degree weather with snow everywhere. Treacherous, but they did a great job!

They were very responsive and good at communicating logistics and timing. The guys were also very quick once they arrived, and very professional. I appreciated the good service and hope the furniture will be out to good use. Will definitely call them again when needed.

I scheduled a job for cardboard box removal after a move into a new home. I could not believe the price they charged! $500 for the job + labor. I could have saved this for recycling day, or done the job for much cheaper. We also had a desk on the second floor that they did a great job removing, but hardly worth anything close to that price tag. Big time regret for sure. Nice guys though.

Would recommend for easy pick up of items and courteous crew. The scheduling process was quick and easy online, the crew kept in communication, including keeping me updated with estimated time of arrival throughout the process. Provided me with an updated price for additional items we added to the order. Very nice and professional crew. Would use again. Thank you.

The guys that helped me with my move were all fantastic! Even despite the weather and challenges of the spaces I moved out and in to, they were on it and made sure all my stuff got in safely, and all of them were nice and respectful through the whole process. Would absolutely recommend them for moving services!

So 2 days in a row these guys no called no show to get an estimate, not to mention when I called the day after the first no show the guy I spoke to acted like it was my fault. Never again Response to owner: why don’t you start by admitting that you no showed on me twice? Instead of your scripted response that means nothing. Or why don’t you waste some of your time and call me?

I want to start this review by saying that we generally had a good experience with CHHJ Fairfield. We needed a crew to help us unload a fully loaded box truck to a apartment, and our experience before and during the move was generally positive. The management team gave us a quick and reasonable quote, and both Juan, the team lead, and his co-mover were very polite and professional. Arrived early and worked hard the entire shift. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we knew that from previous experience moving, we would need a team of 3 people and moving equipment. We requested 3 people and equipment in the quote, and when the quote came across with 2 people, we called the office directly and requested 3 people again. We were assured we would get a team of 3 people. We were happy to pay the additional to make this happen. Moving day comes..... 2 people show up. And they also didn't double check the correct equipment on the truck to make things efficient - thankfully, we already had some robust moving carts. Ultimately, this turned a 4-5 hour job into almost 8 hours.

Chichi & Manny were awesome. They moved a dresser out that we no longer needed. They also took apart & moved a large desk out. Then they brought up a very heavy (84 pounds!) oversized chair (still in the box) as well as a brand new ladder shelf, both of which needed to be assembled. Since the assembly was going to take longer than expected (so many pieces!) they checked with me that it was ok for them to proceed since things would take longer than the original estimate reflected, & they checked with the customers next on the list to make sure they were ok with a delay. They did everything in a professional manner & the new chair & ladder shelf look great! This is the second time I’ve used College Hunks & I’m sure it won’t be the last.

They came on time and were professional and removed a three-piece sectional and ottoman. The whole thing took 15 minutes to get it outside and load the truck. It was very quick and easy. Price was reasonable. I would recommend them.

If I could leave a negative review I would! Do not use this company! Had an appointment time window for 12-2 and no one showed up. Called at 4pm and the receptionist said someone cancelled my appointment as I caught him in his own lie. Then he said he will call the local branch but no one answered. Company is very unprofessional and useless. Wasted my day today waiting for them. Their moto is stress free lol nothing but stress if you use them! BEWARE !!!!!!!!

The movers were efficient, professional and courteous. They went out of their way to accommodate my unique circumstances. They were beyond helpful and polite. Everything was professionally wrapped and packed. They helped to make a typically stressful event a little fun. They truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend their services.

Outstanding service! Making an appointment is easy and quick, customer service/support answers all questions with a positive attitude. When our providers arrived, they worked efficiently and carefully around the property. They knew how to address the challenge of moving a large sofa and were very polite and friendly.

I hired College Hunks for pre-moving junk removal and clean out. The service was excellent from booking to getting an estimate to the actual service. Abe was great communicating with me to book an appointment and the service guys that came out to give me an estimate and to do the actual service were all great, professional and polite. Jose and Daquan were professional and courteous and finished the job as we had requested. The job was big and required a full truck. Thank you. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to clean out.

Working with College Hunks moving was frustrating to say the least. I was moving apartments (1 bedroom) that were 4 miles apart. I received an estimate for the listed furniture and boxes I was having the company transport and I believe it was severely low balled to get business. The price of the service is largely reliant on the time it takes. I ensured to have the exact number of boxes and furniture that was given for the estimated quote and my movers were not efficient. They never once used a hand truck or piece of equipment to help move items or load the truck. This seemed odd given they were “professionals”. The movers showed up nearly 3 hours after the estimated time window. This created problems because the building I was moving into had a time frame for moving. One of the movers dropped our dresser off the truck and damaged it beyond use. I understand accidents happen, however what bothered me was that they did not report it to me when it happened. They placed the dresser in the bedroom without saying anything. Luckily I heard the crash and checked on all of the furniture before they left and discovered it. I don’t want to bash the guys that came, they were both very nice people but I believe the company set them up for failure that day with over booking, lack of proper equipment, and poor estimated quotes. The worst part of the expirience had been dealing with their manager Michael. I was told to reach out to him for reimbursement for the dresser. When I did he was responsive in the beginning after I explained the experience. He told me he would assess my bill and refund/adjust it due to the 3 hour delay and broken items (an additional set of plates were dropped). This was great news at first. However Michael became non responding and non communicating when I did not see any reimbursement. It took multiple phone calls and unanswered emails to finally get the small amount of money back for the dresser but the bill adjustment for the poor service and 3 hour delay past our move window was never applied. I don’t like leaving bad reviews I feel they can be misleading and I am very forgiving when companies make things right for mistakes. After all we are all human and mistakes happen. But because of the way the situation was handled and lack of communication I would not recommend Fairfield college hunks.

My husband and I called College Hunks yesterday and they were able to come early today and help us move some heavy furniture upstairs and outside so we could sell it. Jacob and Emanuel were professional, helpful, polite and did a wonderful ( and safe) job for us. I would absolutely recommend using them again! My husband and I were happy and relieved that we did not have to move the furniture ourselves. Thank you for such great help!

These guys were great. Very reliable, professional and so happy with their services. So respectful and worked very hard on my move. I highly recommend them. Oh and reasonable with pricing.

Robbie and Kasier were soooo helpful on an especially stressful day. They handled literally everything and took great care of all my furniture. I was shocked by how fast they worked and how easily they carried even really heavy things. Highly recommend this service!

H.u.n.k.s. Hauling Junk were the only movers who were flexible enough to accommodate us at extremely short notice. The entire process was smooth, efficient and very professionally handled from the beginning to the end. They did an estimate over the phone, asked pertinent questions and gave me a fair price upfront. from start to finish it took 8.5 hours and we are extremely satisfied with the service, professionalism, and courteous & polite crew who handled our move. It was not an easy job moving 320 lbs of a cast iron bathtub, but they did it with a smile and we will definitely use them again!

College hunks is a pathetic excuse for a moving company. They are completely incompetent and disrespectful. We only used them to move our large pieces of furniture 15 minutes down the road- which took them 13 hours (no packing, no moving boxes etc). They either did not wrap or improperly wrapped all items and physically damaged all our furniture. The truck they brought was far too small and they spent over an hour attempting to get our mattress in the truck in the pooring rain. They left unwrapped furniture in the rain as they attempted to re-arrange the truck. They took apart many pieces to try to fit more into the truck and damaged them in doing so. Things that were not damaged were put back together incorrectly creating so much additional work for us. We spent days cleaning up the mess College Hunks created. Absolutely heartbreaking experience. We have two young kids and the company could not care less that after 13 hours of torture we were left with no beds to sleep in. Awful communication. Still have yet to hear from them. Atrocious. Could not pay me any amount of money to consider using this company again.

Me and my family were moving from morris county to middlesex county and were recommended college hunks from our family friend. We called up there number and a agent pick up and answered all our questions and detailed all the steps about there moving process. (prices and how they price and packing etc) prices were reasonable and scheduled our move a week later. The movers came at the agreed time( they called us when setting off from there office and gave us a eta). The 3 man team were right on time started right away. We moved everything into 2 rooms in my home beforehand so the movers came packed everything that needed to be and wrapped all fragile and valuables in blankets and plastic wrap. Outstanding. Took their time and when ready to drive to new home we left and met them. Again gave a time and how long they would arrive. Got there and did opposite of packing. Unpacked and asked where we would like everything to be placed. Their team work was top notch. Our three movers get a special shout out. Corry, Savion,and Amir were the best team. That’s the squad you want when you want hassle free moving. College hunks are the right movers for my family and are extremely happy with their services. Would highly recommend and use again. The two movers Manny and Brendan who helped me move my furniture to my apartment did a very great job today! They were very kind, helpful, courteous, and explained all the prices and fees in detail. I would definitely use College H.U.N.K.S. again for moving services.

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!! I hired two movers for my 896 square foot house. We listed the items when we called them to schedule the move. They said it would take about 4 hours with two guys. They arrived with a massive truck that should have been able to fit my actual entire house into the truck, house included. The one mover was “doing paperwork” or on the phone or in the truck doing nothing for half the time while the other mover did basically everything. It took the lazy guy an obscene amount of time to wrap the furniture with blankets that my wife finally asked if she could do it instead. He packed the truck in the worst way possible and said it would take them two trips because they ran out of room. On their way to the new house, they hit the cable wires of my neighbors house with the truck and after they left, they took out power cords down the road and the cops had to come. Furniture was broken and scratched. When we went to pay, a fee was added that wasn’t mentioned on the phone but at this point, we were in such a rush to get back to the house we were selling that we just paid it to be done. When we called and spoke to someone from customer service, they said we would hear from them in 5-7 business days and we never heard back from them. Called again and the same thing happened. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. If for some reason, you have to use this company because no other company is available in all of New Jersey, make sure you request that “Tyler” not be a part of your moving team. He maybe moved 3 things the whole day and just messed around on his phone for the rest of the day.
