I own an auto repair shop and a customer of mine had an issue. I consulted some people I knew locally who referred l&w. The shop was prompt to address the issue and took care of my customer. Extremely knowledgeable shop, so if you’re looking for a shop in southern NH I am happy to vouch for them.
Excellent place to have your car repaired. The workers are honest knowledgeable and the price for repair was absolutely reasonable. I’ve had my vehicle repairs done here twice already and I will continue to have them service. I moved here almost 3 years ago and had local auto businesses try to sell me something I didn’t need. Being a single grandma L and W is the best honest reliable and affordable auto repair shop!
The best automotive mechanic I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable. Honest, great job. I have used this garage for years and have never been let down once. Prices are very reasonable. All personnel were very friendly. I can't say enough how good that place is. I have used L&W in the past and I will always use them in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I went to L&W to get a tire fixed after going to Seabrook Tire and they couldn't get lug nuts off, when they had put that tire on 2 weeks prior! Anyways Jimmy at L&W went above and beyond to help. Thank you Jimmy and L&W! The tire was fixed thanks to Jimmy! Apparently the way the lug nuts are made let's water between them and they needed to be heated or something! But its fixed!
These people are great! They're funny, friendly and they know how to fix your vehicle right. Don't get me wrong they're in business to make money however they won't rip you off. Actually they're more willing to work with you. Please read the signs in there office.
Went for auto inspection. Was told i needed brakes all around. Cost 8-900$. Wouldnt even put rejection sticker on due to safety. Took my car to VIP and got inspection sticker no problem and was shown there is still plenty of brake pad on all 4 of my brakes. Lost any and all future business from me and anyone else who tells me they are going there will hear my story. BTW I looked up total cost for brakes 173$
I hope you enjoy the $45 you stole from me. Maybe you can use it to buy a brake rotor measuring device as required by Saf-C 3206.04 (a) (1). Or you could put it towards charm school tuition.
The good: They made a same day appointment and kept it.
The Bad:
They failed my vehicle inspection for a broken tailpipe (understandable) and a set of brake pads. Fixed the tail pipe and replaced the pads which did not need replacement. They were well over 2/32 thick Saf-C 3206.02 (a) (8).
Went back for reinspection only to be told there was a hole in the muffler and a set of rotors needed to be replaced. If I was told about the muffler the 1st time, it would have been fixed before I came back. Why are you wasting my time? Rotors were fine and did not need replacement. They met the mfg spec for minimum thickness and had no rust, pitting or delamination on the friction surface. Saf-C 3212.02 (a) (14)
Fixed the muffler and explained the rotors over the phone. Was told to bring it back and they would put a sticker on it.
Trip #3: Screaming match and F@#$ bombs about the rotors and now a caliper.
Enjoy your $45. You earned it and the review that goes with it. I got my reinspection at a reputable shop.
I just hope nobody else makes the same mistake as me and gets ripped off. Luckily for me it was just the inspection fee, the cost of some unnecessary brake pads and quite a bit of wasted time.
I wonder how many unnecessary repairs they have ripped others off for? Take your vehicle to trusted shop. This is not one.
Wonderful friendly staff and good prices for repairs and maintenance. We only go to them when we need work done and we trust them to get it done right.
Great team, fair pricing. They won't gouge you by fixing something that isn't broke. Michele is always willing to help figure stuff out! They take great care of me and my car worries!
Michelle at L&W is absolutely incredible. The word "no" isn't in her vocabulary. I took my suburban to her for some basic maintenance, fuel pump, wheel bearing etc and they were also able to fit me in same day and get the job done in hours not days. Just when you think you couldn't be any more pleased with their service you get the bill...finally an honest repair bill with reasonable rates. Not a "this job says it should take 4 hrs so that's what we are gonna charge you." They bill per hour and they are problem solvers they don't just replace parts like the dealers. After having such great luck with my burban I recently took my Audi A3 over for some more intricate, typically only Audi mechanic type work and they've blown me away again. Take your vehicle here you will NOT be disappointed!
