On 10/28 I took 4 aluminum wheels in recieved 76.16 for . Same price of .64 a pound took 24 wheels 4 of we're 12 inch wide bog wheels only got 332.80 on11/18 well they had me go on big scale not metal department something not right I lost about 150 bucks ?
After a remodeling project in our house, I wanted to recycle some of the copper pipe and other metal materials. The whole process was fast and easy and everyone was so helpful! Great experience!
Customer Service is great. We are always treated courteously whether our batch is small or big. This is a wonderful company doing the public and a recycling a great service.
Great way to responsibly dispose of stuff we no longer need. Friendly helpful employees make recycling a pleasant experience. What Black River is doing is helping our community’s environment. Way to go! I hear their employees are valued by the company.
Padnos is the best recycling operation I’ve seen in the various places I’ve lived. They recycle more kinds of things than most - and they pay you for many materials - steel, aluminum, copper wires, even many electronics. Quick, easy and efficient dropoff. And normal business hours. Much better than the municipal operations one frequently encounters.
Good place to get rid of scrap metal without disposing of it in the trash. Also better than putting it out in your household recycling, as you get paid for it! You don't get a ton of money, but it's better than nothing and paying your trash or recycling service to haul it away. The one thing I don't like is that they no longer pay non whole dollar amounts with coins, but instead round to the nearest dollar amount. This usually ends in a rounding down in my case and I've lost out on a few dollars since they started doing this. They claim a "coin shortage", but I don't buy it. The rest of the world has plenty of coins now that the pandemic is over, so why don't they? Seems like a good way for them to pocket some extra profit. Anyway, they are the nearest place around to recycle scrap metal and get paid for it, so I'll continue.
I visited the Padnos in Holland and Muskegon today. First time for both and the staff I encountered were so friendly and helpful. I announced to the person I was talking to it was my first time and immediately there was a person to aide me with direction. Kudos to both facilities and their workers.
We went here having ZERO idea what we were doing! But the staff was incredible and Vern even stopped what he was doing to help us unload our ridiculously heavy fridge/freezer!! Now that we know what we are doing, it's actually very easy to do! And we made a little money instead of paying someone else to drag it all away. Very well run, and kudos to the staff for ALL being so kind and helpful!
Very friendly staff. They are always aware of what is coming into their facility to keep others safe. Unloading and payment are very quick and easy. Best place for recycling!!
The hours here are difficult to work around, and the drive-in phone-to-let-you-in system feels very shady and archaic. They do have fair prices for scrap parts though, and their cash retrieval process is quick.
