I’ve brought my Buick Encore here many times and always have done good service to my car. Would highly recommend this car shop for car repairs.

Three generations of my family have taken our cars to a Chris and his team. Most recently my daughter’s car in the severe winter weather had all her oil drain from blown valves and it affected her timing on her suv. While not ideal, we knew we wanted it towed to Muffler and Go. We got a call with what was needed to get it running safely with a price. The car was ready when quoted. It runs better than before and we are grateful for the team. The work is always top quality. Prices are fair. And most importantly, they are honest and operate with integrity. Thank you. I can’t say enough good things about this shop. They’ve been very good to me every time I’ve been in—honest, fair, and straightforward, which is hard to find these days. Muffler and Go helped out a family I know of greatly recently. They had a transmission issue that was very costly. They helped this family get their family car back on the road timely and at a cost they could afford. I am thankful they were there to help them out in such a caring way.

Chris(the owner) went above and beyond to help me fix my 2018 colorado torque convertor and other parts. He also offers payment plans that are a great potential asset to the customer. Been here a few times and always had great service.

Chris and the team are a great outfit. Between full top end rebuilds and suspension work they have kept my wife's van on the road. They are honest about what needs to be repaired and very skilled mechanics. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

At first I throught it was kan rock but when I opened the door, a very beautiful young woman pops from behind the computer, and welcome me and the experience there was awesome, especially us talking and joking about we are all from the same city at some point and the mechanic she is one of a kind and very knowledgeable, glad I stopped there I was just making my way to mufflerman and through hey let me try here glad I did Thanks cause that night it snowed after I gotten off work again great job

The owner Chris and his team went above and beyond with my auto repair this week. I’ve taken my vehicles here for around 25 years. I had an estimate done in February for repairs I needed that they nearly matched with a small amount for updated parts pricing. My engine light came on the next day before I brought it in and threw a few different sensors. They got to the root of the issue and addressed them for me and did some other minor fixes to get my car ready for the road at no extra charge. It drives better now than when I got it. I also get my oil changes here and they are the lowest price I’ve found with fast turnaround. Don’t sleep on this long time locally owned gem with honest mechanics you can trust.

I want to thank everyone there who helped get my car back on the road! They did an amazing job and the pricing was super fair; they even repaired something with my O2 sensor free of charge, saving me an extra few hundred $$. I brought my Hummer H3 to Muffler & Go in Fenton and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, Chris at the front desk was kind, well-spoken, and clearly on top of things. He listened to what was going on with the H3, walked me through the plan, and gave me a realistic timeline and estimate no pressure, no upsell, just straight talk. Dan, one of their mechanics who worked on my H3, was equally great, knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. He took the time to make sure everything was running right, not just the obvious issue. They checked for any related problems, tightened up a few things that could have caused headaches later, and test-drove it to confirm the fix. The truck feels solid and smooth now. What really stood out was their efficiency. They moved quickly without cutting corners, which meant I wasn’t left in a tough spot without a vehicle. Communication was excellent the whole way—quick updates, clear explanations, and no surprises when it came to cost or timing. Came in with no appointment with hopes of getting a Borla Cat back exhaust system installed. I was in and out within an hour and a half. The new exhaust was also missing parts and Chris covered it with no extra charge to me. My experience was to say the least excellent and I recommend anyone to take their vehicle here. Thank y'all.

My husband dealt with a person named chris who was extremely rude and nasty they always had a excuse as to why that hadn't worked on our truck . They had it for over a month, kept promising us it would be done by a certain date then had excuses when that date came and it wasn't done. I would not recommend this place to have any auto repair done, they don't care how long you are without a vehicle like your jobdoesn't matter to get to,look around and make phone calls to other places. You'll be very unhappy if you take your vehicle to them .

I have had numerous poor experiences with dealerships and auto repair in general. The service and attention to detail (as well as straight up honesty) is out of this world. I trust the judgement from Chris, the owner, and the highly experienced mechanics. Truly, this is the best place to take your vehicles. For example, I had a dealer quote me an astronomical price for some repairs to a 2018 Suburban (not an accident, wear and tear) think $10K. Took it to Muffler & Go they fixed the vehicle for a roughly 40% of the dealer quote. I mean, it is good as new. Best ever. -GSP-

This review covers work performed by Muffler & Go (M&G) over the summer of 2025 on 3 different vehicles our household owns. The first car was my son's 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, which he purchased with a relatively new exhaust system already installed. The exhaust components themselves were great but the installation was awful. We brought the car to M&G to have the dual exhaust removed, pieces modified (cutting, bending, welding) and reinstalled by Kevin (their top custom exhaust specialist). The result was truly a work of art. The exhaust was routed through some tight areas in a way where nothing rubbed, rattled or was in the way as it had before. Because of the work done on my son's car, I decided to bring in my newly restored (after sitting 37 years) 1968 Chrysler New Yorker to have its dual exhaust system completely replaced. Again Kevin was given the job, this time to create a complete custom stainless steel exhaust system. Somehow Kevin was able to route the pipes to fit through some tight areas and tuck the pipes and mufflers very close to the bottom of the car in a way that honestly looks better than what the factory had done. I later found a slight rattling that only occurred under certain conditions and the owner, Chris Burke, told me to bring it in and he'd have it taken care of while I waited, which they did. Within two weeks of the installation, I then realized the mufflers that were chosen were just a bit too loud for me. Since I originally agreed with M&G to install these particular mufflers, I thought I was going to have to pay to exchange them for quieter ones. However Chris offered to exchange them for a quieter pair free of charge (for both the mufflers and the labor to exchange them). You just can't ask for better customer satisfaction efforts than this! I am now super happy with the sound and the quality of the installation. The third car we brought in was my son's daily driver, a 2014 Chevy Equinox with the Ecotec 2.4 inline 4 cylinder. Because we brought it in to M&G with a potentially damaging loose timing chain (a VERY common problem on this engine), Chris said it was an urgent issue and arranged to get in right away. Eventually the timing chain and associated components were replaced along with a new engine valve cover with integrated PCV, oil & filter and spark plugs. Got my son's car back on the road within two days and averted potential disaster from a broken timing chain. Later, we took the Equinox in again for a cooling system flush, brake system flush, two wheel alignment, replace all brake rotors & pads and replace parking brake shoe & lining w/ parking brake kit before my son drove back to college 500 miles away. We've decided to switch all of our car service needs over to Muffler & Go after seeing the quality of work that they do and Chris taking considerable time to show me around the shop, explain the way they find parts as inexpensively as possible and introduce me to their service specialists. The front desk and waiting area is immaculate and reflects Chris's need for neatness and order. The shop area is well organized and you can tell everything is well maintained. They also have the latest in diagnostic testing equipment so they're able to perform service on many things other shops may not be able to do. In terms of pricing (as the owner will also tell you) they aren't the cheapest or the most expensive. Based on what I have experienced over the years at this and other shops, I'd say their pricing is in line with what you'd expect from a shop that uses the right parts and does an exceptional job of installation & servicing. There's a great deal of automotive expertise in their employees and Chris himself told me he works hard to treat them well in order to keep them. I've long known Muffler & Go has a great reputation and I now know why. Their business name is Muffler & Go but it is obvious that they do much more than exhaust systems. I'm one of their newest customers and I can say I'm 5 star satisfied so far.

Chris and his team do great work! They have a tremendous group of mechanics with accreditations, are thorough, honest and go out of tgeir way to do anything possible to keep repairs reasonable. I was there on Thursday and they worked with a customer who was told by their dealership that their transmission had to be replaced at a cost if $4k. Chris and the team identified a solution under $500.00 that completely resolved the issue! Many people also don't realize that they service all types of import cars and even sports cars. They save ne over a hundred dollars on just the oil change for my sports car. Highest recommendation! Great people to deal with!

Brought my ‘21 Guilia in for an oil change - not only did they change the oil, but they did additional services like cleaning out the air filters, completely for free. Great customer service, and they have a beautiful fish tank for you to admire while you wait for your vehicle. Highly recommended!
