UPDATE: I was contacted by someone in senior management and was told they would look into this matter and get back to me about reimbursement for the time, energy and gas travelling from N. Quincy to Allston and back twice to replace and have the new fobs programmed. I never heard back from anyone. I recently went to this location for help with replacing the batteries on my Volvo's complicated key fobs. This is even suggested on Google as a cheaper alternative to dealership prices. I asked the staff person if this is something he can do, and he assured me that he has replaced batteries on dozens of key fobs. 30 mins later, I left AutoZone with broken tabs on one fob and the other one broken and missing parts. As a result, I had to replace both key fobs and then return to the dealership for programming. When the employee was clearly having challenges with the fobs, I suggested that he stop, and he insisted that he's replaced batteries on dozens of similar fobs and that good customer service takes time. He ended up destroying both beyond repair after breaking tabs on one fob and losing the buttons along the side in the other. I was reimbursed with a cash envelope containing $800 cash for the fobs and programming, but I was never compensated for the inconvenience, and time and energy traveling to Boston Volvo in Allston from Quincy twice. Moral of the story is to think twice before going to AutoZone to have your key fob batteries replaced. Also, management says they are going to handle things and get back to you, and never did. This is indicative of my overall negative experience at AutoZone. I guess the time and energy involved with having to fix things they break, and travelling back to your original dealership for them to fix AutoZone's mistakes, is part of the customer experience. Consumers beware!

I received an email about my online order was ready for pickup at that store and made a copy of it and went to the store I ordered it from and they did not have it..they sent my to another store that had it and they didn't have it either and they sent me to another store and they had it. I spent more gas than I don the part.. Poor service and lack of communication!!

My experience at AutoZone was amazing! I needed help with my battery. The manager Timmy Hunt was very helpful with provide me with the customer core value. Yexiel V. Lopez provided the help as well well with removing the battery, but also replacing it. Great service with Manager/employee. Their customer service and core value were top service. Thank you

I had a crazy morning, my battery died on me bringing my son to school. I got it jumped and went to Gallivan auto zone. Alejandro helped me with my battery, he was absolutely amazing and so helpful. Very professional, quick and had me out of there within 20 minutes. Definitely recommend!!

I recently visited the AutoZone on Gallivan Blvd with a few questions about my car, and as always, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Jesse, the young man who assisted me, was especially impressive—he was polite, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions at no charge. This wasn’t my first visit to this location, and I’ve consistently received excellent service each time. Even when calling over the weekend with another question, the young woman who answered was helpful and courteous. I truly appreciate the high level of customer service at this AutoZone, and I hope the team at Gallivan Blvd gets the recognition they deserve for their professionalism and dedication.

I had such a great experience at this AutoZone! The service was truly exceptional from start to finish. Ledell and Yexiel went above and beyond, not only in helping with my automotive needs, but also in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Their positive energy made the visit so enjoyable, and they were both a pleasure to interact with. One thing that really stood out was how clean and well-maintained the store was—especially the bathroom. It was spotless and honestly felt like something you’d find in a nice hotel, which is such a rare and appreciated touch for a retail location. It’s clear that Ledell and Yexiel take pride in their work and care about customers having a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to friends and family.

Today July 14th Around maybe 4:30 to almost 6 o'clock give or take a young lady went out of her way to help me, truly above and beyond! When honestly she didn't have to and I forgot her name! Very unique name and I feel so bad for forgetting because I wanted to give her credit where credit is due!!! So Thank you for all your help today!

New manager Rick answered phone right away check to see if part that was last one in the inventory was indeed on shelf put it aside for me picked up later he scanned My Rewards card gave me my military discount couldn't be happier with the service have been customer since they were Auto Palace on Gallivan Boulevard

Got phenomenal service and help today from Kelly. I had previously purchased some wiper blades that did not fit well, and weren't that great of a product. Kelly convinced me to try out a product that ended up being both cheaper AND better. Very thankful for Kelly helping me out today.

Today I was looking all around for a product and calling many stores and the gentleman here were very nice by helping me and putting it on hold for me. They even were nice and brought it out to my car for me as it was a heavy item. They are just such a respectful group of people and I hope the service does not change!

Wonderful service! They were so helpful finding out what windshield wipers fit my car. Even went out into the strong rainstorm to change them out for me and confirm they fit before I checked out. So thankful!

Today. I had an emergency. Front breaks failed. My nephew called your store. Immediately JAMAL. figured out parts needed worked with us and in 5 minutes. I had parts in hand. I am 72yo Hcap guy. I was able to accomplish this with great help from Jamal and your store Now my vehicle will be safe. I have a good friend who will install breaks. Many many thanks. Dave

Today my battery died and I needed a new one. I went to Advanced Auto right by my house. The cheapest they had was $257 and they wouldn't install it. The computer said it takes 40 minutes and they won't do it after 30. Thank God for Jay D over at Auto Zone. He found me a less expensive battery and installed it. It took him 25 minutes. AutoZone is the way to go for your auto needs.

Stoped in to get new wipers and JC was super helpful! He saw me looking up my car in the book of wipers and told me he could look them up on the computer. He figured out which ones I needed, grabbed them and even installed them for me! Great customer service!

I had a malfunction where my car would not start and a braking error message came up on my car. After having someone check my battery it turned out that I needed a battery replacement. I came over to auto zone where Tim helped me out. He got me the new battery, showed me the variations of ones they offered and even teaching me on all of them and to top it all off he installed the new battery in for me! From start to finish he was amazing and because of him I was able to go about my day and complete my errands. You ever need help, please do yourself the favor and ask for Tim!!

I GIVE ALL AUTOZONES ONE STAR DUE TO LACK OF STOCK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Specially this location is the most depressing location. Bunch hoodies running the front desk will barely open their mouth to talk to you and lack of stock. Avoid this location if you can. I WILL AVOID ALL AUTOZONES BECAUSE I KNOW THEY ARE USELESS! My recent experience at the AutoZone located at 756 Gallivan Blvd, Dorchester, MA, was disappointing. Upon arriving to pick up my online order, the staff seemed unaware of it and rather than assisting, they suggested canceling the order and going to another store. I ended up canceling and finding the items in-store myself, despite them being listed as available online, and unfortunately, the refund never came through. Throughout my visit, the staff appeared disinterested, engrossed in their phones, and neglectful of customer needs, highlighted by frequent intercom announcements about unattended online orders, revealing a lack of coordination. This fell far below the service standards I anticipated at this specific AutoZone location. I hope to see improvements made at 756 Gallivan Blvd, Dorchester, MA, AutoZone, ensuring a more customer-focused experience in the future.

I had Unreal service conducted from a great man by the name of Tee. My car started randomly putting and couldn’t accelerate when I would give it gas. Tee was Very helpful and told me exactly what I needed and wasn’t trying to sell me some high priced trash... Not only what I needed for the fix but explained the reasons behind it all. Great attitude and very knowledgeable in his line of work. One of Dorchesters finest! 10/10 #GoodGuyLocalGuy

Carlos and Mat were extremely professional and helpful by changing tailgates bulbs of my Kia Forte. They normally do not get involved in that if tools are required, but they understood my situation and saw my lack of experience and helped me to avoid expensive service with the dealership. Process took less than 10 minutes and 3 times cheaper, more importantly it was quality. I really appreciate your support and that’s why they deserve 5 a 5 stars feedback!

The owner needs to be aware of the rude "lady" he hired to be the so called "manager" at this location. It wasn't in me to give a one star review, because if you read the first review I gave (paragraph below), I was beyond happy with this place, and would come here all the time, but now I'm not so sure. On Saturday 01/08, I walked in here to ask if someone could put fluid in my car. Whatever was standing behind the counter gave me a dirty look and told me they don't do that. I said I always come here and they help me. I said I'll ask someone else because you're rude. She said "That's fine I'm the manager and I will just tell them not to help you" Need I say more? The owner has to be aware of this before all of his five-star reviews go down the drain. Her and her attitude need to go somewhere else. Awesome place. It's hard taking care of a car as a woman but these guys are always super honest and helpful. My car has been sounding terrible for so long because of leaking power steering fluid. For the longest time i was going around and people were just adding a bit of power steering fluid only to have the sound come back within a week. The guy today went a step ahead (i wish i got his name) and told me to also buy the fluid that seals the leak. My steering is a million times better and the noise is gone. Thank you so so much.

Great service and a friendly atmosphere! Raymond was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He helped me replace a few things on my car and it was clear by his interactions with everyone who came through the shop that people keep coming back to this location largely because of the exceptional service. I went to have my battery checked to see if it needed replacing. Less than 20 minutes from pulling in to pulling out my battery was tested and replaced! Orlando was knowledgeable and professional. Very pleasant to deal with. It was one of the best car repair service experience I have had in 40+ years of driving.
