This location was incredibly helpful in charging my battery after it had died on a cold night (Feb 4th). Kelly, especially, did a great job and made quick work of getting the battery in and out. Highly recommend.

I came to this store on 01/21/2026 to buy something simple for my car, a light bulb. When I arrived at the door, it was 8:53 pm, and the store was already closed. I stood there for a few seconds to see if one of the two employees who were inside the store would help me, but they ignored me. Note that the store's posted hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.

Purchased a car battery here that turned out to be too old and did not work. The next time I tried to start my car, it was dead. I had to jump it and take it to the dealership, which tested the battery and confirmed it was no good. I had to pay for a new battery and for the cost of service from the dealership thanks to the dead battery I got from Advanced Auto Parts. The store refused to allow me to return the battery for a refund, despite showing them the paperwork from the dealership, and despite one of the employees there acknowledging that the battery had been sitting on the shelf a very long time and might be too old.

The guys from the morning shift this Tuesday until Thursday they definitely have an attitude . The guy that worked on the afternoon shift was polite .I was there around 10 am .You say thank you they say all right. I ordered a part in person for pick up I asked the next day if it was there and one of them told me you called the wrong location . The other one told me it's there and when I was there one part wasn't there yet and after that he raised his voice at me .Also I called them and they put you on hold and after that they hang up .It seemed like I was asking them for a favor or something.

Went there to get new wiper blades, and I knew which ones would fit... they still had to look it up in the computer despite me grabbing the right size. Could have been a lot quicker.

The staff name Alex (salesperson) was the best. He gentle and funny. He helped me to choose wiper blades and installed it.

This is Emerson automotive south Boston we called 6 times and we were on hold for 20 min and no one answered bad business you should find better people to work there.

On August 2, 2033 I stopped in with an issue with my car to get help, I stated my problem and one of the workers there immediately turned me away until Jerry (the other worker) came to me to access the problem and boom he got to the solution and fixed the problem. I want to thank him so much for not only doing his job but for going above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Great customer service Jerry!!!!

Good prices compared to all stores. Lack of professionalism. Some of the staff clearly hate their job and project that onto us, clients. The one who I spoke with greeted me with “What’s up?” while he watched videos on TikTok.

If U need it rt away & IF they have it.. It's OK.. I'm starting to like AdvAutoPts just a Lil bit better than AZ.. If there's O'Reilly near by tho, I'll chooz that.. If I have time I'll always choose Rock Auto online or Eben eBay or Amazon.. Rock Auto online in general is my go2.. Over any of the nearby "convenience ourlet$$" auto parts store.. Sadly the days of the smaller independents, where U could have a relationship is long gone ..

I went to the location on Mass Ave and went to purchase a power converter that had a sign taped right on the shelf with $10 off the employee Angel or Angelo Baez was very rude to me and even when I was dealing with his coworker he was mouthing off to me and threatening to call the police not to mention he had street clothes on and was listening to his headphones during work hours I definitely would never have this guy work for me or represent my business the way he talks to the customers and carries himself. I hope that somebody in charge will address this issue because it definitely is unhealthy for your business!

The store has terrible customer service. I only went to as an emergency to grab oil. No one greeted me or said thank you for your purchase. I had to grab my own receipt from the receipt printer. Hood spot equally hood customer service.

I give this place e five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because they went above and beyond to help me with my problem that I had with my car. My battery light kept coming on in my car, so I took it to advanced auto parts so they could test my battery and see if it was dead and I needed to buy a new one. They tested it and it wasn't bad, so I tried putting the battery back on and then the whole car stopped working now. So the guy who was helping me said he thinks it might be my alternator. So I had to order an alternator, but I had to leave the car on there lot they said I would be good and that my car wouldn't get towed. So long story short my car ended up getting towed anyway. I explained to them what the guy had told me that my car wasn't going to be towed, so since it was there fault advanced auto ended up paying to get my car out of tow. I ended up getting the car to start and everything ended up working out just fine. So I gave them the points because they worked very hard to fix there mistakes and to help me with the problem that I was having from the beginning. I also feel like they don't get enough credit for the good things that they do so I just wanted to give them the credit that they deserve.

Need better staff support 3 days ago I bought a part supposed to deliver a part.from Somerville store today i.took my money back I saw a.customer.walked out of the store English not his first.language he the staff did not even peep outside to.look at the car for year or make to give him the correct info AutoZone in Martin Luther will literally go and look at your car and tell you write down for ole folks like.me what I need they will get my pittance sorry advance you Dorchester Ave is excellent service this store Is abhorrent the quality service needs reinforcing English or not what's up we should be more empathetic

The cashier literally ignored me as I got to the counter. She didn't have one word of exchange besides a total. And I had also walked in to the store behind her and she let the door close in my face. I won't be going back. Autozone is better either way. This store was just there when I needed it and it was a terrible experience from the point of working with their workers

The Advance Auto clerk named Justin helped me with all my questions. I received all my parts and assistance with my wipers. Justin was very kind and knew exactly what he was saying about the parts I purchased. My experience at Advance Auto Parts was great and I will return. Thanks

I called asking for a car cover. I was first put on hold for 12 minutes. I hung up and called again, the respectful sales-person picked the phone up right away and told me to hold while he checked. He came back, picked up the phone, said we got it, and slammed the phone in my face. Say no more.

Service was bad there was only one person basically helping the line of 5+ people. One worker was in Ohio putting away product and talking to her friend instead of helping the Line Get Down Low. The one guy helping look frustrated and you can see it in his face. There was another worker in the back who saw what was going on and just ignored the whole situation altogether.

Whoever staffs this place needs to be replaced. One guy working. Poor guy had a line out the door and it looked to me like they were also doing truck. There should NEVER be a time when an employee is made to work alone

Angel went above and beyond to lend me a hand with an upgrade project to my jeep. Not only made sure i got the right product but showing me how to use as well. In and out in a timely fashion durring peak hours!

Most of the people working here are nice people. But, when you have a check engine light on and need it scanned, they don't have the tool. Every type of auto parts store has a scanner. Makes no sense to me. I guess it's back to auto zone, but would've preferred to buy here. Oh well.

The place is clean and people were friendly and very helpful. They are knowledgeable. We never have to wait long to get what we need. Good service and reliable. The stuff we bought always come in good packages and they work.
