If it were possible to rate a negative star I would have. This is by far the most unprofessional place you can take your vehicle too. They will not give you details regarding deficiencies found with your vehicle. If you ask questions you are immediately berated, yelled at and treated downright disgusting.
Horrible customer service. I came in for an MD state vehicle inspection. They told me my vehicle failed and that I would need just under $1,000 in repairs. When I asked questions about repairs, I was yelled at. I repeatedly told the man to lower his voice. After I was done listening to the man splaying and haggling for $20 more to show me what I was asking about. I asked for my keys, and it took them a few minutes to realize they left the keys in the car with the windows down. Needless to say, I will not go back there ever again. Not even to save the $120 inspection fee.
Brought my MIL’s car in for inspection. The main guy in the office is very condescending; we watched him be careless with ordered customer parts and paperwork - overall, customer service was not ideal. He hardly let my wife and I get a word in to explain what we were here for. It cost $120 to Uber inspect a vehicle, and we weren’t even quoted the price until I asked. Prior to this, the guy only asked, “How are you paying?” These guys could really work on their professionalism. We’ll be seeking service elsewhere next time.
Please do not waste your time or your money by coming here. It is extremely unprofessional I brought my car in for an inspection at the time of opening and was told that my car should be done around 12 in the afternoon I did not get my car back from inspection until around 4:00 PM. They then failed my inspection for things that were not even an issue that I had checked by Mechanic elsewhere, and was told that it was fine. I still went ahead and fixed the parts that they told me needed to be fixed and brought it back for re-inspection. Then, at the re-inspection, they told me of a different issue that they did not tell me about the first time I came and brought my card be inspected. They also charged me additional money to use a scanner to read my windows without first, informing me that they would be a charge for it, they offered to fix the additional issue for me and said that they would have it done that day. I left my car with them around 12 PM 1 o’clock and came back later that evening around four 5 PM and my car was still sitting there, and they had not touched it, and the mechanics had left and went home because the owner had failed to inform them that they were supposed to work on my car , then, after having the issue fixed by the Miller shop, my car later broke down, and I had to take it to a different mechanic and was told that the part that they fixed was done incorrectly. They have wasted so much of my time and money. I seriously do not recommend coming here. The owner will actually sit in his car while the shop is supposed to be open at 8 AM I got there around 7:45 waiting for someone to open the shop and no one was there. It wasn’t until his mechanics came later around 8:30 to check what I needed that I was answered. The was the owner of sitting in his car sleeping the entire time.
Although they get the job done, overall bad customer service. Left my car there Tuesday morning for a 9 Hour job, got it back Saturday! They work slowly. After i dropped my car off I had to call up there for updates after he said he’ll call when they deliver the parts the same day or next. Sometimes doesn’t answer the phone I had to go up there Friday and told the Front desk worker I tried calling I just needed an update. He then responds I have 1 mouth and 5 lines and points to the screen to tell me there still working.
Recently went in for a car state inspection and the store manager was very professional and served me in a timely manner even though they were busy. I was in and out about an hour. I would definitely recommend this business!
Apart from running a smooth operation, MJ is a good man. He made sure I was in and out and gave me solid advice pertaining to my car. I came to do the MD state inspection on my new car. He gave me the lowest price while others were trying to take advantage, mainly because I’m a woman 🙄. Mechanics always assume we don’t know much, in some cases that may be true but not always. In this case, thank google, I just called about 5 different shops and picked jk based on price, availability, & customer friendliness.
So glad I did because he didn’t disappoint. And I saw him so pleasant with everyone that came in while I was there, customers, employees, & vendors. I got to witness all this in the space of 2 hours. Shows that his shop is always busy.
JK Auto Care is the only mechanic I will take my car to. They are extremely thorough, friendly, and I never feel that they try to upsell me on anything. They are THE BEST.

I thought I found a place to get any repairs done when needed but I was wrong. I had an oil changed done there which they over charged me and almost double from last when I got it done. I was told prices are going up and even mentioned gas however I’m not there for gas but just oil changed smh. My car service light wasn’t reset and which I brought back the next day but was told that my car doesn’t respond and that it is on me now since it is my car. They told me that they don’t have the tools to do it and recommend me to go to a dealer where I’m about to pay money for it now and also for them to check my oil level since my car oil level came on after getting my oil change later that day. Something wasn’t right because that shouldn’t have happened. I called trying to explain that it wasn’t fair for me to have to pay again to the dealer to get it reset and checked again but was told it was on me again since it is my car which I paid for them to work on but couldn’t do it properly because they don’t have the tools. I will take my business somewhere else next time and was already over charged for just an oil change plus didn’t do the whole work.
I have gotten several repairs done with numerous of cars but they continue to take forever with repairs. I continued to have jk auto do the job because I was a loyal customer. since they realized that I'm a loyal customer, they put my servicing on the back burner. Once, I had them do a simple maryland inspection and they haven't done anything in two weeks. I ended up taking it to the exxon down the street and they've completed the job in one day. The Owner at the front desk has bad customer service skills. Before I take a car to them again, I would go to a backyard mechanic. I do not recommend taking your vehicle there at all!!!
an insured U Hauler damaged my legally parked historic convertible dream car. when the settlement check arrived I called and spoke with several auto body repair shops. I selected JK..they did a. excellent job fixing what U-Haul damaged. yes I will go there again. the service was very good and priced under all other. sincerely
Okay experience. Got a state inspection done. Expensive and they said my window tint on the front doors needed to be removed, but that he could do it for $20 per window. When he brought the car out, they did a very sloppy job taking the tint off. A lot of the glue was left behind on the window. One window even had a long strip of tint still on it, where it had torn. The passenger window wouldnt even roll down properly. After my insistence, he removed the rest of the tint and cleaned the glue a little more, but it still looked very sloppy and wasnt done very well. Got the inspection done, but can't say I left very happy.
This review is for their location in Bowie on crain highway.. I had my timing belt, water pump, drive belt and compressor replaced on a 2012 Volvo S60 T5. Highly recommend Kaval for your auto repair and maintenance needs. He does not overcharge you and the service is fantastic. Do not hesitate to bring your vehicle here..
With regards to professionalism and being upright when it comes to pricing, this business outfit comes short. The front desk personnel billed me excessively for having a Maryland inspection done and subsequently specified that a few repairs were needed for the vehicle to pass.
Repairs specified on the inspection report were done but upon driving the vehicle back to have it re-inspected, he outrightly said it wasn’t done properly without checking. He said that because the repairs weren’t done by his company.
Never and I repeat, never take your vehicle to this firm!!!!! Worst customer service ever
I have gone through the comments and seen the same issue I've had with this location. I called them on the phone to ask if need an appointment or can go there and get the service right away, and they told me “first come first served”. When I got there for the service, they told me, they had a lot of customers to serve before they are closed.
Don't waste customers' time if you can't give service at the requested time. Last but not least, they're nice people regardless of what I said above.
They keep my car running, offer the best customer's satisfaction. I like those mechanics working there, they are very friendly and their Boss is a great person. Thanks for always keeping my car running.

This people are dubious, I will never in my life step their shop again or recommend anyone. Government need to step in and check this people. I met like 4 people who have the same experience I had with this people after paying for inspection.
You can't go there for inspection without some list that something is wrong with your car, then if you don't fix the car with them will be the worse thing you'll ever experience. I didn't fix my car with them and because of that this people keep finding different fault, sending me back and forth to my mechanic, after like my 5th times with them, then they asked me to go and do alignment, I asked them why didn't you mention that in the first place and also if they can do the alignment for me at their shop so I won't have to be going back and forth again, they refused because I didn't fix my car with them they didn't do the alignment, I took my car somewhere else and get the alignment done, I brought the car back to them, that was my 6th time at their shop all for inspection. Then the guy checked and said he's not pleased with the alignment result even when the paper works shows all green, he said he can do the alignment for me at $125 or $85 I can't remember, I refused to pay him cos when I ask him to do it the first time, he said no, while then asking me to bring money now after the alignment is done and you're saying you're not please with the one another person did . OMG, at that point I was upset and had to inform state trooper. Then the guy said they have to do a new complete inspection.... Please be careful of this people. Don't take your car there.
I must say Mohan and the staff are honest and reliable hard workers. When something is wrong with your vehicle during inspection they will let you know immediately and fix it with your consent. Get there early because it gets busy fast. Nice Work Fellas!!!
Took my car for an inspection and it was done promptly. There was a mix up with the analysis of my vehicle but the owner rectified it promptly and corrected the issue. Great guy, would recommend the shop to anyone. Prices are very reasonable as well!
I can't say enough about J K Auto. They are more than amazing. Quality work, honest, integrity, prices very reasonable, fair, timely with repairs, they'll work with you and just all around good people. The gentleman we work with when you call, drop off and pick up is genuinely a good person and wonderful human being. It's a pleasure to do business with them.
This place deserves no stars, the staff is very rude, the way they conduct business is not Organized. The inspector comes and goes as he pleases and I feel as a business if you have set hours then your inspector needs to be on site at set hours, I came three times to this location and was told different stories multiple times in regards to getting my car Inspected for Uber.This is ridiculous just to get an inspection done for my car I felt they treated me this way because my inspection is free because I’m going through Uber and they will not receive any money on the spot. But from the looks of that place they looked as if they might have charged me for something just to get money out of me. The place looks very shady.Don’t waste your time here, I went somewhere else to get my inspection done.
Was trying to have Maryland safety vehicle inspection performed. Called the day before in order to confirm, they said to arrive by 8am and Maryland inspector would arrive by 8:30AM. I arrived at 8AM, nobody was at the office. Someone did arrive shortly after and assured by the Maryland inspector would be there at 8:30AM. At 8:45 the manager told me, "He is on his way, only about 5 minutes more." At 9:15AM I could wait no longer as I could not be late for work, which started at 10AM. Earlier they told me they could have me out by 9:30Am, in time for work. Nice people, I just don't trust what they're telling me. Was a waste of my time and I'll go somewhere else this weekend to have the Inspection completed.
This place deserve less than 1 star, their owner and staff is ridiculous. The Mohan is absolutely ridiculous. I took my car there, they saw the car, it needs couple things to be fixed, it need front grill, front hood to be fixed and the left light. We finilized it a day before, and the next morning I dropped my car for repair. I left to work and came back at 5:00, they only changed the grill, when I asked why the rest is not fixed and they start lying, we didn't talk about it. Absolutely lie, can't afford this, the owner is Keep annoying you. The are ripping you up. They are doing less work with more money. I recommend no one to go this place for car repairs and body work.
Absolutely ridiculous and low professionals.
This place deserves less than 1 star. Granted, the owner is very courteous and professional, but....They accept more vehicles than they are able to service. There is essentially no place to park your vehicle once there. I visited this facility five times for the same problems. There was always an issue with that shop. I was reassured my parts would be there on a certain date, but then told they were on back-order, or my car could not be serviced on that particular day because there were not enough mechanics on hand, or having to wait and wait to have my vehicle even looked at by a mechanic. The parts ordered for my vehicle were never there when I was told they would be there...after taking off from work specifically to have my car repaired. I was told my bearings were bad. They were 'supposedly' replaced, but the problem persisted. I brought my vehicle back. At that time, I was told a plate was bent. Shortly after I left the shop, the noise started again. Plus, my window issue still had not been resolved. During my last visit, I was told I would have to wait three hours before a mechanic could look at my car. That was it...I had enough -- especially after having to MAKE a parking space by squeezing my vehicle between several cars parked every which way with no room for incoming/outgoing traffic! I asked them to return the window motors and that I would find another facility. Fortunately, my warranty company allowed me to take my vehicle to another shop. I arrived at Mr. Tire at 2:00 pm. At 2:50 pm, I was told my car was ready. It was not my bearings or a plate, the noise was caused by a twisted cable near the caliber and my windows did not need new motors. They only needed to be lubricated! If you are thrilled to spend your time off and weekends at a repair facility, then by all means, JK Auto Service is the place for you.
