I’ve been coming to Hartlove’s Auto for several years now, and I can only say great things about them. From their friendliness and responsiveness to their coordination, pricing, and expertise, they’ve consistently been the best. John and his team have impressed me time and time again, whether it’s brakes, transmission issues, or even sunroof concerns, they’re always willing to help and always charge a very fair price. I truly appreciate their honesty and dedication to quality service. If you’re in the Severna Park, Glen Burnie, or Pasadena area, these are your guys!

I brought in a 2015 jeep wrangler for overheating and and was told coolant was getting into the cylinder and was recommended two different services and ended up putting a new engine in and the service and work preformed and was 100% excellent work and i will be recommended them to friends and family

I would not recommend going here. Had 2 vehicles here one was a beater ford ranger that I called and asked to replace the EGR valve, transmission pan gasket and get the vehicle running. I was told on the phone they’d have to do their own inspection of the vehicle to see what’s wrong with it, After 3 months and over $1k later get the vehicle back transmission is actively leaking the gasket wasn’t even done, there obviously wasn’t an inspection on how it was running because it’s missing and running like crap. Understood the vehicle was in rough shape but when I picked the vehicle up I tried inquiring about the issues the truck still had so I could work on it myself and I got “The keys are in it have a good one”.

John Hartlove was extremely professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process of getting my brake job. His price was very reasonable and I felt very comfortable with him and his employees working on my vehicle. I did not feel any pressure to be “upsold” whatsoever. The workmanship of the brake job was exceptional and I have dealt with auto repair shops for the last 40 years. If you are looking for an honest, first rate auto repair shop I could not speak more highly of Hartlove’s Auto Repair Shop located in Pasadena Maryland. I have certainly found a mechanic for all of my vehicles for as long as continue to live in the area. I only wish that I had found Hartlove’s Auto Repair Shop 15 years ago when I moved to Maryland. In hindsight, if I had found Hartlove’s Auto Repair Shop 15 years ago, I know now that I could have saved thousands of dollars, gotten better quality work and have had the pleasure of dealing with a true gentleman.

Great prices, fast work, and friendly mechanic staff. I never got to speak to any administrative staff because we came on a Saturday. The woman on the phone didn't provide much information on how to drop off my car. The business is a bit hidden to the left and we initially mistook a nearby home that shares the same lot as Hartloves. Would have been nice to know where to go/some instructions. Overall a good experience though. The payment website they use is also very user friendly and helped speed things along.

If you’re looking to get your car inspected, or fixed, no doubt Heartlove Auto will give you the love and Attention your vehicle needs! It’s in the name after all! And they mean it! I Honestly had a great experience getting my car inspected, it was super easy, I made an appointment, showed up, and they took the keys and gave me an estimated time of when it should be done. They called and I appreciate the leniency of being able to pick up my vehicle the following day as I had to work that afternoon. I was able to pick up my car and with that, a detailed report! Honest to God and friendly shop. Just ask/communicate what you need and if they can do it, they will tell you. Like I asked for a paper Copy and they gave me a paper report! Can’t be happier! And I failed my inspection! So be nice yall! Cause you can’t find honest to good people like the folks at heartloves! Amen

I've had a a bunch of services on my 2019 Rav4 from John Hartlove's shop from a full engine replacement to regular maintenance like oil change and brake jobs and i have nothing but good to say about him and his staff. When I've had work done its done right the first time, done at a reasonable price, and in a quick time frame. I'd recommend Hartloves to my family and friends with total confidence they'd be as happy as I am.

If you are looking for an honest and reasonably priced mechanic I can't stress enough how amazing Hartloves Auto is. Located in Pasadena and thet took such good care of me when I came in with an auto emergency. I now live in Delaware but I will make the trip to Pasadena to Hartloves for all my mechanical need......

John completed a cam phaser replacement on our F150 recently. He was very responsive, professional, priced fairly and overall, we had an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

I’m a mechanic at Coales automotive and have a 97 f250 diesel that I couldn’t get running and I had it towed to John’s shop. He had it running healthier than it was when I bought the truck in a timely manner and at a low cost. We send anything that is out of our scope to John and his guys all the time 10/10

Kattie was able to get my car towed the same day. John was able to have my no start car up and running in 3 days. He cared for my car as if it was his own. The communication and pricing are impeccable. This was my first experience with Hartlove's Auto and it will not be my last. I highly recommend them to everyone. I’ve been bringing my vehicles here for at least 10 years. I really appreciate their honesty and fairness. Recently I thought I needed a transmission replaced and planned on spending close to 4k. Imagine my relief when I learned the actual problem was much easier and a whole lot cheaper. So many other mechanics would have noted that I said that and had me paying for that whether they fixed it or not. So thankful for Hartlove's.

I found John as a very cordial person. Thus I bought a used car from him. He is impressive in communication. I would post actual review after a couple of months about the car I bought from him.

2/20/24 Had several issues with my truck so of course I took it to Hartlove's Auto to do the repairs (been going there for years). John and his team has a level of service, professionalism and integrity that NO other can match and far exceeds anyone's exceptions. I've taken a couple of vehicles to Hartlove's. They've been very fair with their pricing. They also call you to let you know what needs to be repaired...instead of doing the work and charging for it. The owner was there to greet me when I showed up unannounced, and when I showed up to pick up the vehicle. I felt like I was a priority and I will definitely return.

Best mechanic shop around! I had such a wonderful experience at this shop. John treated my car like his own. They are honest, reasonably priced, and all the guys were very nice. I would recommend this shop to everyone and this will be my permanent go to place for my cars!

The work is done in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. I’ve always been treated fairly and the pricing is competitive. I’m not big on giving reviews but big on reading reviews to make the best decision. So to not share my experience would be silly. Being a female we tend to be discouraged from doing “Man Business” like going to a mechanic but when I tell you ladies my experience with Mr. John was incredibly easy and I truly felt like I was being treated fairly. He was very honest and up front. The price and turn around time on all of my vehicles were awesome. So if you don’t take my word just drive by his shop and see the other countless people who trust and appreciate John’s work and the superb customer service you receive from John.
