My 10 year old son was here for 5 days and we only had 2 calls about 4 minutes long. So, only 8 minutes of us connecting to each other. I understand that multiple families are trying to talk to their children, but 4 minute calls are not enough for a really detailed discussion. He came here because of his anger issues. But, he still had issues by the time he was discharged. Even though, he finally got his issues taken care of, it still isn’t right.

No communication with the therapist about behavior and what we can do to help my child . Brought her home and all her meds wasn’t sent to pharmacy, gave a white piece of paper of a prescription but cannot fill it due to it not being on prescription paper. Tried calling , left voicemail and no response. My child is still acting the way she did before she went. No help at all.

Staff was very professional and compassionate. My son felt safe there and said it was the best mental health place to go in Kentucky. He was in the juvenile part since he just turned 18 and still in school.

They are very nice and clean, the staff there is excellent. The Ridge is the place to go if you need help with behavior issues, suicidal or depression. They are there to listen and to help you in your time of need, I am truly blessed that they were there for my granddaughter Kyleena Smith. Thank Each and Everyone that had apart in helping my granddaughter, very much appreciated. May God Bless Each Of You. Brenda Smith ❤️

I was under the impression they were going to help me regulate my social anxiety, depression and ADHD meds. As all fall under behavioral health. I was already on 2 anxiety medicines which they continued and added two more. Refused to treat ADHD. On discharge I was given a few phone numbers, only 3 of the medicines I was on while in there were called in, ive only been able to fill 2 of them waiting on a doctor's authorization and only a 2 week supply of the clonzapam which ive been on gor 12 years no Benzo replacements.

The level of compassion , empathy and knowledge Dr.Greenlee , Dr.Shraber and Unit #1 provided for me has reached dark places in my being and this has catipulted my recovery and mental health. I know now that season in my life is so valuable and precious. Being heard and listened to was the #1 key, the support, stability and encouragement was phenomenal. I am forever grateful...Just for today , and the past 40 days, I see myself different...I have recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body, I am an Overcomer. Thank you so much DOCs, thank you so much Unit #1!!!!

I have been here a few times, and my son went recently. This is a great place to receive mental help, care, and kindness surrounding what is probably the worst time of your life. They were the light in my darkest place. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Greenlee is incredibly kind and compassionate, making me feel heard and valued from the moment he walks into the room. It’s rare to find a doctor who is so personal and genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. He truly goes above and beyond to provide the best care possible! Also, a quick shout-out to the reception staff—they are professional, efficient, and kind. From an anonymous patient, using a different account.

Currently, I am only rating on intake, the ease of getting my child a bed, and the kindness of two staff members that I’ve spoken with, thus far. The first person being a gentleman named “Chris.” After midnight, my child needed to be transferred from St. Elizabeth in Williamstown, to Ridge. The hospital treated us horribly. Me being the mother and having questions only made them more angry with me. The more questions I asked, the more unprofessional and brutal they became. Especially, when I would not allow them to take my child to their intertwined Sun Behavior Health (more money for them.) INSTEAD, we were blessed when Chris quickly returned the call. His slight southern accent, mixed with his calm and reassuring demeanor was exactly what this mama needed. Thank you, CHRIS!!! The 2nd staff member I spoke with was a woman named, Tonya. WHAT A JOY!!!! She wasn’t able to help just yet, because my child is still in processing, but the way she spoke, made me laugh and handled the situation, could not have been better. She gave me clear instructions, and left me once again, feeling like if the staff inside are anything like these two, which lord I pray, we might just have a winning team here. I WILL FOLLOW UP WITH A NEW REVIEW WHEN I CAN DO SO REGARDING HIS CARE.

I stayed here for about a week. Dr Greenlee was really helpful and prescribed me medication which helped to feel better, like a normal functioning human being again. I appreciate all the med RNs and mental health technicians as well, one in particular named Chris gave our group advice, and it seemed like he was directly speaking to my own life situation and challenges. My life has changed for the better since staying at the Ridge. 5/5 stars.

Dr. Greenlee absolutely changed my life, the way he practices medicine is unlike any doctor I’ve seen in the past, he’s thorough, and puts his patients before anything else. The ridge wouldn’t be the same without his experience in medicine, and I just wanted to take time to express my gratitude and appreciate how much time he put into me with what little time he had to work with. I also want to take the time to thank all the nursing staff on unit 1. They don’t take things personal and work hard to enforce the rules, while also respecting the patients, all of them have helped me with coping skills, respecting others, and gave me tools to live a long and sober life and I couldn’t be more grateful.

The staff in Unit One are absolute gems. Truly. Sonia, Elvira, Michelle, Cindy, Missie, Olivia, Reshae, Shawntelle, and Stephanie all have hearts so pure you can practically see them glowing. Their kindness and compassion turned what started as a disaster into something worth praising. Now… about the intake process. Whew. Let me gather myself. My interaction with Bobbie in intake felt like walking straight into a plot twist I did NOT see coming. Her energy could curdle milk. If this review were based on intake alone, I’d be handing out -5 stars and a do-over button. Imagine expecting a shiny candy apple — but instead you’re handed one that’s bounced across a two-year-old classroom carpet. A carpet that has survived: • spaghetti day • glitter day • naptime drool • mystery stains no one admits to • and at least three toddlers learning how to blow their nose Now sprinkle in a little attitude, coat it with impatience, and serve it without a smile. THAT was my intake experience with Bobbie. Honestly, if first impressions were food, hers would’ve expired in 2019. But once you escape intake (and Bobbie’s gravitational pull), Unit One is pure sweetness — the candy apple you were originally promised. Their team is fantastic, supportive, and everything a patient should meet first. This rating is for Unit One ONLY: y’all are amazing, and I appreciate you more than you know.

Most of the staff were polite. When we took our daughter there. She said they treated her well. The only complaint I had is, they ask me if she needed help with bathing, I told them she only needed help with washing her hair. She said they didn't help her because they were not allowed too, because of her being unclothed. I totally get that, but her hair was very tangled. The facility should be equipped with salon type sink used for that purpose.

I'm glad and deeply appreciate this company. I truly believe that the Lord has angels working here. They surely cared for someone that lost their mind. I'm grateful even for the janitorial and I'm truly sorry the way I acted. I'm thankful the Lord had mercy upon me and put me in my right mind. Thank you all for being professional and friendly! God bless you always!!

Pretty sad when people that are supposed to help you treat you like an inmate rather than a patient. I walked into their depression IOP program and before I sat down my keys and cell phone were taken from me, I wasgiven a cup, and nonchalantly informed that if I peed in the cup and *she* felt as though I was not a danger to myself or others I may have them back at the end of the day. Going into a place like this is difficult enough, but to be treated like a child whose fate and literal freedom is determined by one burnt out group leader that chastises people she should be helping for eating too many of her snacks while in front of other patients is not an experience I would wish on my worst enemy. Amanda was so condescending and quite frankly needs to remember that while the next person to walk in may just be another face and stack of paperwork to deal with, we’re human beings in need of help. I was also denied short-term disability because The Ridge explicitly told me they would no longer communicate with my insurance company because I was no longer a patient of theirs and they had done enough. I truly have no idea how this place is still open. It’s not a treatment facility it’s a prison.

My child was placed here for a week & I have several grievances. Upon admission she was told that she could have her stuffed animal but on the floor they told her that she wasn’t allowed to have it because of its eyes. I understand that there are rules but telling a 7yo two different things when a parent is present vs when they no longer have their parent there is wrong. I never once spoke to psych about her meds. I was told that I would get a call within the first day or so but nobody called. Not even upon discharge did I talk to the prescriber on staff about my child’s medication. When I talked to the unit therapist in the family session, I asked for her to call me back to discuss some things privately. She stated that she would call me right back after she took my child back to the unit but never called. Not that day. Not the next. NEVER. I called in to check with the unit nurse on during the designated time and asked to leave a message for the therapist to call me back. She never returned the call. My child was admitted on the day the unit received visitation so she was not allowed to participate due to their policy of no contact within 24hr of admission. I was told that an alternative visitation could be ordered by the psych staff or the therapist but NEITHER of them were reachable! So I was forced to be completely separated from my 7yo for the entirety of her stay with only two possible 5-7 minute calls a day to check in on her. I understand that parents cannot come and go as it would be detrimental to treatment but to say IN FRONT OF THAT CHILD that a visitation will be ordered once I speak to their clinical staff and then have that staff completely ghost me is unacceptable. The original day of the discussed discharge I had received no calls to discuss after care and follow up so I called again to get the same answer of someone would call back. So I drove to the facility and asked to speak to anyone in charge of my child. The staff there refused to come speak to me. Instead, the unit charge nurse called me on my cell phone WHILE I WAS SITTING IN THEIR LOBBY. Ridiculous and dismissive! I was told that my child was not discharging until the next day and that the case manager would be calling me to get the required information and go over everything. She guaranteed me that she would make sure that he called THAT DAY. NOBODY CALLED ME. I called back in during the designated time and the staff on the unit at that time was kind and understanding of my very real frustrations. They tried reaching out to the clinical staff on their personal phones as everyone had left for the day but nobody answered. They gave me an extended call with my child and continued to try. Eventually a message was received that the case manager got busy and would call me in the morning. When the case manager called the next morning, we discussed discharge plans and follow up. After that I discussed the issues of communication with the facility that held my child for a week. I explained that I understand the nature of a children’s mental health facility exceptionally well as I work extremely closely with that field. I do know how things can get busy and change on a dime but to never once get a phone call when I was supposed to and to never once talk to the prescribing staff and to only once talk to the therapist treating my child, it is unacceptable. The case manager simply apologized and asked “well, what can be done about it now.” The entire conversation felt as though it was being taken in a very nonchalant manner and that I was an inconvenience. Upon arriving for her actual discharge, HER NAME WAS NOT ON THE LIST TO BE DISCHARGED. The front desk staff had to call back to the unit multiple times to find out what was going on. Eventually the unit nurse came and discussed the discharge & what occurred during her treatment. She was apologetic and told me to come here to give honest feedback. Overall - I only gave a star because my child came home stable. Their guardian communication is abysmal & far from best practice on any scale.

I was pleasantly surprised how helpful Dr. Greenlee was. He listened to me w/o choosing to keep me past the time recommended by my husband. Being there 36 hours without glasses or contacts was terrifying to say the least. Being in places like this bring back trauma that is not welcomed. Chris was a great tech who deserves to be recognized. Heather and Cindy who handed out meds were educated and explained every single one with side effects to boot. I was able to make friends while I was there and that’s a plus.. can’t brag on the food by any means but I understand it’s not a restaurant. I also was very impressed with the student csocial worker although I forgot her name. The groups were helpful to me. I really enjoyed art and music therapy. I’ve slept 10 hours a night since I’ve been home which is a lot of why I was there and for that I’m grateful. I hope to never have to be in a facility again but have learned that PTSD is very real. My triggers may never stop creeping up but I’m trying to learn more coping skills. Hope this review iis helpful to make any changes for the better.

Horrible experience. They give kids drugs without permission. They dont contact their pediatrician either and dont send medical records out either. They wont call you back. They keep transferring you to other ppl until you get a voicemail. Wont call back when you leave them anyway. Complete joke dont waste your time here. Made it worse overall for me.

We were recommended to bring our son here by his school. As frantic parents who wanted to get their child help, we followed the recommendation. We checked in and did the evaluation and it was recommended he stay for 4 to 6 days. So, we left our seven-year-old in the hands of who we thought were professionals to get our son help. Although we understand that there are rules in place, about 90% of the staff is rude and very unhelpful, and they gave us no help or comfort in telling us what we could do in certain situations to resolve any kind of matter. We were told we would speak to a doctor on his first day there and we didn't speak to a doctor one time while he was there. We tried to call a doctor multiple times and left voicemails and, when they called, they called from a blocked number that didn't ring but one time and there was no opportunity to answer. I called to let them know what was happening and still received no word from a doctor. The second night he was there, he told us he hadn’t changed clothes yet. When we asked him again the next day, he still hadn’t been changed. When you try to ask questions about how his care was going, they were very rude and uninformative. Upon checking him out, the lobby was full of about 30 students about to tour the place and one of the nurses shared a story about how she was moved to a unit along with a child she didn't care for with a good eye roll. I would 100% recommend finding alternative care for any child needing assistance with mental health. This was a traumatizing experience I wouldn't want any parent to experience.

Communication is very difficult. The paperwork given states as parents we can call between 12-1 and 6-7 to discuss with the nurse how my child is doing. I found out upon trying to call between 6-7 that slot in the evening doesn’t exist. Also every time I attempted to call between 12-1 when the desk would answer and transfer me back to the unit it would just ring and ring and ring. I’m sure with them serving lunch and all that during that time it posses a problem with anyone being available to answer the call. As a parent who is highly involved with my daughters life and treatment I expect to be able to get ahold of someone everyday to discuss my daughters treatment. The communication on yalls part is highly unacceptable in my opinion. Changing the call slot to a time when your nurses are more available to answer the phone would help that situation drastically. Also during trying to get ahold of someone i ended up having to talk with the house supervisor the majority of the time because noone would answer on the unit. Mind you she doesn’t work with the children directly however would get a nurse to give me a call back to update me i appreciated that part now i forgot her name i remember is started with an S. She was as helpful as she could be but on the final day she transferred me to a lady named Brenda and she really needs to learn to have an effective conversation. We can sing together but we can’t talk together and anytime I attempted to say something she would over power the conversation talking over top of me. I’m sorry but when two people talk at the same time it’s just noise and neither person can hear or be able to understand what the other is saying. So Brenda please learn a more effective way to communicate without talking over a parent. We are already going thru enough with are children we don’t need the added disrespect and headache from you rudely interrupting or over talking us.

I was a patient and am using my fathers google account to post this review. Without a doubt this facility saved my life especially Dr. Greenlee. My whole experience was positive and I would recommend this place to anyone who needs any mental health assistance. The staff that works there are extremely sensitive to the patients and are well trained in how to interact with us patients. This was the best choice I have ever made in my life. I seriously can't Thank them enough for helping me become a better version of myself. If you feel as if you need help please look into The Ridge, they can help you.

I arrived in crisis. Suffering from c-PTSD and Bipolar episodes. The lady at the check in, was very kind and helpful. Dr. Greenlee, is amazing, kind, humble and truly cares about every patient. Spent time explaining my condition and medication. I’ve never meet a Doctor, like him. I’ve seen Doctors, since, I was sixteen years old, I’m 54 now. Lori, is amazing, kind and gentle. Very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Cindy, the medication nurse, is amazing also. She doesn’t miss being and explains all your medication. She made me feel very comfortable through the process. Brenda, attack is so knowledgeable and helpful and very humble and will talk to you about any issues. If I ever need in-house treatment again, I will definitely be going to charter Ridge. All the staff is very helpful and nice. I was very comfortable and safe.

The Ridge has saved my life twice. Their PHP and IOP programs are incredible, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without them. The entire staff is amazing. From the therapists to the support team, every single person truly cares. They create a safe and supportive environment where real healing happens. If you are struggling and need help, this is the place to go. I am beyond grateful for The Ridge and the impact they have had on my life.

I have been here several times before but this time was different. There's been a lot of changes and I can't say for the better. Dr. Greenlee and Sonia were great however Dr. Greenlee is spread way to thin having to stay very late hours just to see his patients. I also want to mention Sherry as I saw her on the weekend and she was so caring and understanding. Some of the MHT that made it easier being there was Gabby, Kaylee both night shifters, also daytime MHT Rekha, Jayden and Chris were great. The med nurses Michelle, Heather, Cindy were absolutely great, they took time for me and was very caring. I also want to mention Shawntal, she was only there one day but she was great. It would be nice to have an area for nonsmokers to have time outside also without the smoke. I can't say this loud enough but room time needs to be added into the schedule not requiring a Dr. order, sometimes you just need a timeout or in my case time to elevate my legs as I was miserable with edema from sitting up ALL day. Drs. didn't even want to write a lay down order for that. I guess at least I got some Lasix. I know the rec dept. is going through major changes and hopefully that will get better soon but unfortunately will be without Tiffany ( I really hope you know what you lost with her) I was somewhat disappointed in the therapist area, not much interaction there unlike it was when Brook was there. Charge nurses, you really never got to see as they were busy charting based on the papers we filled out in groups, this could definitely be better if they wasn't so understaffed. Talking about staff to patient ratio....unit 1 was very overcrowded which caused chaos and more anxiety. It seemed like the only ones taken care of was the ones that raised hell then they got their way. The rest of us were just kinda there hanging out in the dayroom while being counted like sheep every 12 minutes. I can't believe that now we have to use plastic fork and spoon that doesn't even cut your food, along with foam plate, this is ridiculous. They still count those just like they use to with the real ones and if one came up missing then you got wanded. The food was definitely not as good as it use to be. My second day there I got a call from the business office to let me know what my portion was after insurance, this definitely caused me more stress and I was no where in the state of mind to fully understand it. Please, I ask of you the corporation to treat your employees better as I noticed a huge turnover of staff and disgruntled staff. This is hard work and they should be treated as such. I'm still very much struggling but I'm trying my best not to come back there. If I do come back there instead of somewhere else it will only be because of Dr. GREENLEE and him being familiar of my case. To the MHTs that I mentioned and the medicine nurses I thank you. Corporate you could and should do better! Appreciate your employees by encouragement to do a good job not by fear of management!

Although the kids wasn't the greatest I wanna say the staff are amazing. I was a long term kid there because I was given up by my foster mother and they made my stay there so much easier and when I left for ILP they made sure I needed for nothing and they really helped me a lot because ILP didn't really provide me with what they said they would and they made it so much better I have the Moon thing hung up on my wall and all my hygiene stuff in my bathroom and I loved all the lavender stuff they gave me. The food they gave me really helped and the window jewels are in my dining room where everyone can see. All the staff and rec and nurses really do care and I love them for it . Thank you so much for everything you guys did for me. Also I bought a Minecraft TNT mini fridge just thought you should know that. I love you guys thank you.
