This place is the best around. Honesty, integrity, expertise. I went in with a small problem this morning that they were able to diagnose and fix quickly and easily without making me feel like a small-time customer.

The golden touch! I have always had a great experience at Midas. Ernie is always ready with a big smile and a joke to get the transaction started. I have had 2 different exhaust installed by this Midas. Both Borla upgrades to my 370Z and a GMC Sierra. Lastly, I also take my work truck to be serviced at Midas as well. Check them out if your in need!

Ernest the manager and his mechanics have been at this location for awhile. They do not try to up sell parts not needed. Have taken multiple vehicles to them for many issues. Each time a repair has been made the issue was solved an have not had to bring vehicle back. They take the time to actually teach you why the repair has to be made.

So thankful I found this place, Ernest and his guys are amazing! It’s rare to find a honest mechanic in the city, especially as a woman in her 20’s. When I had to have repairs I didn’t expect he took the time to physically show me the problem and explain it thoroughly. He answered every question I had, and did great work at a fair price. A couple other times I thought I needed a bigger repair I actually did, and each time he was honest about it! Every experience I’ve had here was wonderful. They’re always kind, fair, fast, and do great work!

I came here with plenty of questions after buying my second car. As a young woman it’s hard to find mechanics who are honest and won’t take advantage, charging me an arm and a leg for something that doesn’t cost that. Ernest answered all of my questions and even took time to break down things I didn’t understand. Not once did I feel like I was getting ripped off. On top off all that the service was quick. Overall I would recommend them for all your car maintenance/problems!

I have never went to a garage and be treated with respect the way I was here! I was out of town and had an issue and they were the only ones that would help us. Unfortunately it wasn’t an easy fix but they got us back on the road and the gentleman working asked if we would call when we made it home safely. I don’t know any other place that has care and concern like that. When I’m up that way if I ever have any issues this will be the place I go to! To the gentleman that helped us thank you from the bottom of our heart.

Even though there were two schedule issues, I still want to give this place a 5 star reveiw for the manager doing what was right for the customer. First oil change I scheduled in advance, they did not have my oil filter in. I said no problem, I’ll go somewhere else to get completed. The second oil change I scheduled in advance, they said they wouldn’t be able to get me in for my scheduled time do to labor issues. Though I was frustrated, the manager did what was right and told me to come back in 2-3 hours and get a free oil change on Midas due to this inconvenience. Though it could have been handled better, the manager went out of his way and is why I will be going back to Midas in the Tates Creek location.

TL;DR- They charged me $180 for an oil and oil filter change and were rude. Ridiculous price. Went to Valvoline, got a better experience, for only $75 I went here for a simple oil change and oil filter change. I called ahead and got an appointment for 3pm in the following days. At 3pm I arrived and was told that I should come back an hour later. I was upset, but came back an hour later. The guy tells me it will take an hour or so, and he tells me he will tell me the cost when he is done. After an hour or so, the guy tells me the price is $180. Absolutely insane. I ask "Why is it so high? I expected like $80, not $180" and he tells me how they have to use a specific, high grade oil and filter, yada yada yada, and how the last person who did the work did it wrong, because it wasn't the right brand of filter. After that, as I try to ask exactly why it costs so much, because I don't feel that what he says is right, he starts getting upset with me and raises his voice. I decide I will just pay and leave. I think it is insane to charge $180 for a simple oil and oil filter change. A couple months go by and I eventually have to get another oil and oil filter change. I go to the Valvoline place right across the road. Not only are they much more courteous, but they use the "right" oil and oil filter, as the guy at Midas said I "had" to use, but they did it for $75 dollars and in only 15 minutes! I do not plan to go here again, and I implore you to get a solid quote from whoever you talk to if you do choose to go here. They may try to charge you more than double the cost!

If you’re looking for an honest mechanic this is the place. I took my truck to another shop that tried to charge me over 1000 dollars. My buddy recommended I get a second opinion and I’m glad I did. The repairs the first shop recommended were unnecessary and these guys quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed for 1/3 of the cost the first shop quoted. Nice to find an honest mechanic!!

Ernest is a great guy who works with a good team. They’ve helped me a couple of times over a few months and were straight forward about it all. Definitely will continue to use them throughout the duration of my Veloster.

I've been here a few times for odds and ends. They don't install tires not bought thru them so be mindful. 🙂 I like that it's within walking distance of some stores and tasty restaurants.

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. Do not take your car here. Insanely rude service manager. Quoted me a ridiculous price for fuel lines. Took it to kens auto instead and they took care of me for thousands less. As an employee of Midas in a different state i urge you NOT to get your vehicle worked on here.

I had an emergency repair I needed on a Saturday morning. Midas opened at 8:00 AM and I got there early. The mechanics started showing up at 8:00, but the store manager who runs the computer didn't show, and didn't contact anyone. I had to get my car towed to another garage. I hope the manager was ok, and I'm sure this was a personal issue and not a problem with Midas in general, but it really put a crimp in my day. Another woman who was there to pick up her car got stranded because no one there knew how to operate the computer to release it. If the store manager has an emergency, at least call one of your mechanics and relay the situation. People are relying on your store for transportation. It's kind of a big deal.

We had an emergency and Ernest was able to squeeze us in and get our vehicle back up and on the road in just a few hours. He was wonderful to work with and his crew was very knowledgeable. We really appreciate them!!

Did a price quote online to find out pricing on tire and work because I am working with a limited budget and really needed new tires. Found tires for $98.99 each and with all the fees the overall total was responsible, though a bit more than I was comfortable with, but they had the tires. I've tired several other places and their quotes were higher or they didn't have all 4 tires. So I set up an appointment and get the tires put on. When I go to pay the price is more than the quote (any place I've had a quote that was the price I paid). I question the quote and am told that the prices of the tires and fees are all wrong and they've been trying to get it fixed. If so then they need to let their customers know before the work is done the exact amount due instead of blind siding them with a higher total after the work is done. Had to pay it if I wanted my vehicle back. The work, so far, has been great, the customer service I am not happy about. I had to rearrange to make the original quote work and now I'm out more money to cover essentials. Fix the website for accurate quotes or warn customers before hand.

Earnest has taken care of me a couple of times now; once in the middle of a snow storm, and both times he went above and beyond to make sure I got safely back on the road. He’s honest and does great work without taking advantage of the situation. As a young female I felt safe and heard through the stressful process of my car breaking down. I appreciate it and he now has a loyal customer for years to come.

The employees are very kind, courteous, caring, but most of all they are HONEST!!! They are very prompt. When they give you a time, they are spot on! I would highly recommend this Midas facility to my friends and family., already have told friends to go to the Midas, Saron Dr, Lexington, Ky.

I brought my car in to get a ball joint replaced. Ernest and his team just like always, did a great job! They are always courteous, reasonably priced, fast, and do quality work. I will always come to them first for my automotive needs!

Had Brake repair done on my Vehicle. It was done in a timely. And professional manner. Mechanics from my experiences past and present are extremely knowledgeable and capable. Customers are treated in respectful and courteous way from my observations and experiences. Highly recommend

This review is looong overdue. Ernest and team are my go-to auto repair stop. Whether it is an oil change or something much more serious, they get me in and get get me fixed in a flash. Often much sooner than expected. They have saved the day for our family on many occasions. We have taken all of our vehicles in over the past 5+ years and are always greeted with a smile. Ernest even knows who I am as soon as I walk in! The service is not only quick, it is very affordable and reliable. Advice is also free and invaluable! I wouldn't think about going anywhere else! Ernest and team, you are stuck with me!

I took my car in for an oil change and it was quick in and out, they even noticed one of my headlights were out and replaced it. Being single it's nice to know the guys at this Midas are looking at "My Car" and my safety. I highly recommend the team at Midas. Thank you for keeping me safe.

This Midas location is awesome! Last week, I was visiting my parents in Lexington from out of state when my car wouldn't start...on a Saturday! Since Midas was open til 3pm, I had my car towed there. On the way, I called and spoke to Ernest, the manager, to let him know we were coming. From the get go, Ernest was polite and professional, and he ultimately did the work on my car. He said it looked like mice had chewed my wiring, but he was able to get it running beautifully at a very reasonable cost! My car's check engine light has been on since I bought it used about 8 months ago, regardless of numerous repairs that would resolve one issue only for another code to show up. Since Ernest fixed my car, the check engine light has yet to return. This is a very good shop and I will recommend them every chance I get.

Ernest, the head mechanic, and his staff are great! We've been bringing our cars to this Midas location for years and have always been happy with the price and the work. Honest and reliable - not always easy to find in the car repair world!

My car has been having problems as long as I had it. No other car place could really tell me wrong. I finally decided to take it to Midas and Ernest the assistant manager there treated not only me but my baby(my car) with such great hospitality. He had my car up and running like she was new again and I really appreciate it! Totally recommend this place! And thank you Ernest!

I prefer going to this particular Midas shop because it is very close and convenient to where I live. Just a couple of miles from the Tates Creek/New Circle area. And best of all the manager, Ernest, is a real stand-up, upfront/honest, friendly and trustworthy person who is truly committed in running a legitimate business that helps people get back on the road. I find his repair estimates to be more than fair. He and his staff have done a lot of necessary work on my car (2002 Toyota Corolla) in just the last two months in getting it ready for the winter. He always went over with me the reason for the problem, and what was all involved with the repairs before I gave the green light. The reason for that length of time is because my car is a little old with over 113K miles. So there was a series of small parts going out that cause the check engine light to come on quite often. Bottom line: Ernest and his staff took good care of me. Quite frankly, Ernest is such a professional, who is committed to customer sanctification, he even offered me his personal vehicle to drive to work on a weekday morning. And I commute to Frankfort! I recommend this Midas shop very highly.

This is an excellent place to get you car serviced. I was in a time crunch and Ernest was able to work me in with out interrupting the other customers. I had a bad tire which they were able to repair by patching it. I decided to do an oil change and they didn't even charge me for the tire patch. Great guy and great place to get an honest quick repair!! THANK YOU!!
