We recently had a Google Review complaint lodged against us here at Cars For Christ®.
The problem is that the person who donated the vehicle thought they were dealing with the true Cars For Christ® owner, but they were not. Several people and churches are trying to steal our name and operate across America as Cars For Christ® without the registered trademark symbol.
We have had the trademark registered with the USPTO since about 1995. The complainant said that we took their vehicle donation without giving them a proper receipt. That had to be some other group because 1) we always give donors a receipt with our name, date, the VIN, and year, make, and model of the vehicle with all our contact information. We have no motive to take someone’s vehicle and not provide them with a receipt. All the cars we ever get are donated to us, and we are happy to give them the proper documentation. Keep in mind that it is also blasphemy to use the Lord’s name to steal from someone in the Lord’s Name, and all of this, of course, without His permission. It could also be wire fraud and grand theft auto for each car stolen in this manner. It is also bearing false witness to say you are someone and you are not.
We had a business dealing with the guy that runs this business. He is a very conscientious upfront and honest person. I would recommend this business very highly.
