I understand that A-1 Towing had a contracted right to tow vehicles from the property that night — that part isn’t in question. What I’m reviewing here is the experience and the professionalism (or lack of it) I personally encountered during the process. The tow truck driver I dealt with was surprisingly aggressive in two out of our three brief interactions. Only one moment felt remotely kind — I’ll let you guess which. (the one we were filmed in) What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that my two young children were with me, and I did my best to remain calm and non-confrontational. Inside their establishment, I noticed multiple cameras pointed directly at us. I chose to stay quiet because I knew I was being recorded, though I don’t recall being asked or informed — maybe that’s standard on private property, but it definitely added to the tension of the moment. What struck me most was the overall disrespect in the way the situation was handled. The driver mentioned he had a contract to tow everyone from those two spots that evening, which is absolutely within his rights. But the tone, the attitude, the threating tone as i approached his truck i had a business suit on with my two children a 9 year old and 6 year old. how threatening of an image can that be. He yelled an i mean yelled as he reached in his cabin, "man don't walk up on me." It was extremely threatening. My children began to cry! the lack of professionalism made an already stressful night feel predatory. Add the fees exceeding $400, and the whole experience felt like the opposite of community spirit, especially considering it was during a Christmas family event. As a local business owner myself I feel let down with my fellow business owners This is simply my personal experience and opinion, but I hope others have smoother interactions than we did.

I was also a victim of towing during a Christmas family event in Sims Park. Last night we arrived to the "Light up the night" Christmas event full of happiness, joy and excitement only to come back to an empty space. My children crying on the side of the road thanks to this heartless company. Everyone was parking in the surrounding areas including closed businesses nearby since it was after hours. This company preyed all night long towing car after car during the family event. Ruining Christmas one car at a time. I hope you enjoy filling your pockets with people's Christmas money during a financial hardship. May you and your lawfirm that allowed the towing have a rotten Christmas.

They sign deals with HOA's and search for cars with new out of date stickers in the middle of the night.

Who destroys and ILLEGALLY takes vehicles from a lot with no tow sign?THIS COMPANY RIGHT HERE! They wanted easy money and instead will have to fix all the vehicles they destroyed today. After calling to get their information for their insurance to report the claim, they proceeded to tell me to call back on Monday. Seems to me they’re trying not to take responsibility for the damages they’ve caused on everybody’s vehicle tonight. And the gentleman that I spoke to this morning was rude and disrespectful to a customer.

This company has no consideration for children or people in the community they are the worst company I have ever seen not giving people a chance to even get their cars out of an event function for children! Causing damage to cars when they're telling them away because they were not doing it properly. I have never seen a company act so poorly! They should be ashamed of themselves!

One of their trucks was driving down the turning lane along us19 about 20 over the speed limit, lights on, towing no car. Just no care for anybody on the road. Looked like the guy was drunk or high. Avoid this company

Absolute thieves. We were moving into our new town home and got towed within an hour, showed up to pick it up within FIFTEEN MINUTES!!! It LITERALLY took longer to get someone back out to release our car than it did for them to tow it less than a mile, where they WAY overcharged us for a vehicle class our car doesn't even belong to. Absolute worst company. I wish I could give negative stars. We will be reporting them. After asking simple questions about the tow, the man became hostile and almost wouldn't give us our car back!!!!!!!!

Any one that has a problem with this company contact the Florida agricultural and consumer reporting there is a case file open in them right now there rates are over the county Regulated rates and they think they can do what ever they want it is all about the fast cash for this company

Towed my 17 year old daughters car out of our own driveway due to month old tags. What really happened was my daughter parked in the vacant neighbors driveway for about a hour, once I left for work she moved the car to our driveway. The company had gotten the call before she moved it so once they got here they found anyway they could tow it. Which after some investigation I found that it's actually illegal to do this. We have a certain amount of time a car can be parked in the street but recently they have been cruising the streets and have towed multiple cars that were on the street less than a hour during broad daylight. Shady business practices so basically crooks in my book

I went to my mom’s house to pick up my dog and I parked outside of her drive way for 5 minutes. My car was towed within 5 minutes!! The guy came up with some bull excuse saying the HOA has a new curfew. Mind you there is no towing sign on the entrance of the community and no “no parking” sign. I’ve stayed there overnight without any problems. They towed my Tesla improperly which caused damage. He charged me 380 to pick up because it was after hours. This place is shady and needs to be reported to the BBB. This cannot be legal.

These Predatorial slime bags towed my car out of my Apartment complex parking lot! Why may you ask!? Not because my tag was expired, not because I was parked in a visitor spot etc..but because my tire was over the white strip in the parking space and considered it double parking mind you I was pulled in between two cars! He towed 3 cars out of here lastnight for that reason!!AS A SINGLE MOTHER STRUGGLING THIS IS DISGUSTING!! Edit: Me and 2 other tenants at my complex whom were also towed for same ridiculous reason got in contact with HTGF corporate immediately and A1 is being forced to release our vehicles and they have agreed without payment so if that does not tell you they know it was wrongfully towed idk what does!

They towed my vehicle from my job today. I thought my vehicle was stolen, but to my surprise it was towed. When I contacted the company, they said no one was supposed to be working over the weekend. They said well you didn’t get permission from Property Managment. They never contacted property management. I walked to the Tow yard. I left everything in my car so I literally had nothing. Upon arriving, it was to my amazement that this is not a real business. It’s a vacant lot behind a building with some pretty scary employees. The man made me feel extremely uncomfortable and wanted me to go behind a lock to gate. I didn’t feel comfortable and asked him if he could bring my vehicle outside and we could handle everything and he just smirked and said no, I guess you really don’t want your vehicle. He kept looking at me up and down, the whole thing was making me very nervous. I called for a police escort. While I was waiting, I was praying and thank God two people from my church happen to be driving by and saw me. They escorted me into the yard. I was forced to pay to get my vehicle out of impound, even though I offered to provide proof of employment from where I work, but he wouldn’t. The guy was irritated when I requested a receipt because they only take cash. The most disappointing thing is that on the sign. It says this is a Police recovery yard. I would hope that Pasco County would do better. Between the stealing of my vehicle from my job, to the abandoned yard where you stored my car, as well as the junkie that you have working there. I’m not against towing and to be honest I understand why it needs to be done. However, this was a scam. Towing someone’s vehicle from their employment is not OK. You wouldn’t even let me prove that I worked there.

I was told on the phone to come and pick up the car. It would be $189 and then I could come anytime between 630 and seven would be the same price up until midnight. So when I’m two minutes away, I get a phone call saying that there’s an additional $50 fee because it was locked up After hours mind you I was still in that timeframe . The guy was completely rude hung up on me more than once told me to bring him the money if I want the car. So then when I called back the dispatch company They gave me the same attitude. They were very unprofessional.. I’ve never seen a business that was that unprofessional ever. To top it off I was told that my number will be blocked and I wouldn’t be able to call to get my car. They asked me who I spoke to that told me that information and I told them it was a woman and the time and they didn’t care. I told them to contact their manager and they said that they need to stick to their rules in case they get audited if somebody tells you a price they need to stick to that price because when I got there somehow it went up to $240 and to top it off the guy had no change. I brought him $300 that was a joke. I wouldn’t pay to keep my car in there ever and even if you paid me to keep my car in there, I wouldn’t let them have my car there. That place is a joke very unprofessional. I can’t believe the police impound cars there. They treated me like I owed them money to a dealership, but my situation was my car was in an accident and I had to go to the hospital and leave my car at the scene. Don’t ever ever ever ever ever ever ever bring your car to that place. You’re safer to leave your car in the middle of the road. To top it off when I was exiting with my vehicle, I was being recorded and I never consented to being recorded.

Predatory practices. Zero respect or decency. Difficult to work with. Difficult to reach. Terribly unfortunate that my county has to be home to this "business".

This company is the absolute worst. If you are involved in an accident, please take everything you need from your car, spare tire, stereo, and any other valuable additions before they take the car. Once the vehicle is in their lot they will not let you take anything unless it is a personal item. Also, they do not buy out the cars like most other companies who are willing to give you at least $500 for your wrecked vehicle in the event of a total loss. Instead, they charge you $250 and keep the car. IF you can, save yourself the trouble and hire another towing company.

This place will not give you an itemized bill until you pay. They are doing illegal things don’t go here. I was in an accident and they were feeding off of it. The lady was rude.

I stopped to drop off a Christmas present for less than 10 min and they towed my car. My friends boyfriend saw them down the street they did not wait the required 15 min and told us they will not turn the car around. Then we had to wait 3 hours in the car at the shop to pick up the car. We are considering taking them to small claims court. Don’t use this shady company.

This business has committed grand-theft of several vehicles on private property. They look for expired tags, even when on private property where the vehicle is legally allowed to be with an expired tag. This has gone past predatory business, this is genuinely a vehicle theft operation.

They towed my truck and trailer, when I received it back my transmission wasn’t shifting properly and makes a terrible sound when driving. I called and talked to two managers and both said they would take care of it one managers name was David. Then I talked again to them saying it won’t shift at all now and they have yet to get back to me and it’s been going for more then two weeks. With no follow ups from them.

Do not hire these people to tow in your lots. Find a better tow service. The employees are out of control and do whatever they want to people that do not want any more trouble. No quality in their service except the distinct ambition to harass the community after towing their cars. Can't provide a receipt and outsource their calls to someone who cares even less about quality. If you ask for a receipt in a mono tone voice, they take it as a threat. This business screams mal-practice. Please, for the people of the area, do not give them business by hiring them. Find a good towing company that provides a service and helps people get their cars back after they pay money.

This people just steal my truck from place where no sign “no parking”. Also, they illegally drove on my truck and then charged me $1800 for “towing two vessels”. How I know that? Log book was started and drove all miles and recorded it. My mistake - I left key in the truck. Also, I left big sign on the window with my phone number and explanation I’m 5 minutes away if you need to move truck please call me. Also, guy, who gave me truck after I paid him, said it’s manager called them and requested to pickup truck. But, I found all managers on that plaza and ALL OF THEM said we never called in the towing company to report pickup your truck!!! Towing company - it is mafia, who has big protection and they do whatever they want to do.
