This place is a complete ROBBERY as of Dec 2023 based off my last experience - Do NOT go here and give them your time and money.
They don't pay out the California 5 cents per plastic bottle, and remember when at or under 50 bottles - they MUST be counted upon request by the consumer - By regulation, to Ensure you get the full refund amount.
This also isn't limited to daily, just upon visit - so you can recycle 50 then go get some water, come back 50, then again until finished otherwise they'll just pay by weight - if you so wished. I wouldn't go so far - I don't have the time, just a fun fact.
The Experience? >Literally just went to recycle about 480 empty water bottles, which should have paid somewhere in the range of 24 dllrs, when weighted - the amount they paid?
Yea... 7 BUCKS....seriously 7 bucks.
This isn't even CLOSE to a mistake or possible range of pay. I 100% suspect they are pocketing your money here and flat out ripping off the public which further just discourages people from recycling in the first place.
I have only ever gone here once a long time ago and decided to give them a shot since they usual place was super busy. They had no line, no wait, and seemed ez enough...yea, now i know why...
I advise to NEVER go here again - at your peril - don't be surprised if you've read this and still go - hopefully I've saved your hard collected time and refund.
P.S> I'm undecided about reporting them to regulators, or just never going here again and be done with this place.
I went there I normally don't. But they tried to cheat me I a have been recycling for a long time now. I took like 5 bags full of botty normally 5 bag full of crushed bottle's. Would bring me about $36.00 they tried to give me 26.00 I asked for all my bottles back the said they couldn't. I took exactly the amount to Mike's recycling on main Street. They gave me $40.00 . Mike's may have long lines but they are honest.
No line, easy going place but initially hard to find as their building faces away from where you drive in. Also, you don't expect a recycling place to be in the middle of the Food 4 Less parking lot. Just went there again and still no line and efficient service to recycle my cans, bottles and plastic.
They were quick to attend but they tried to trick me with the weight of the aluminum cans.
They pay for 6.23 lbs

I have been going to this place for three months now and I absolutely love it. They are open from 9-5 p.m. seven days a week and there is never a line. It only takes about five minutes and the staff is very friendly. I hope Ponce never changes. I really like this place and I recommend it to everyone. It also helps that the trolley station is really close by and there lots of shopping centers around the area. Great place, great experience.
Move over Mike , Ponce is in town, and he's waaaay faster then other places . Yheaa I get it , sorting your own recycling is inconvenient but if your already recycling, why not do it all the way and follow thru. Take your time and find yourselves at said establishment and get on with your life , peace man ??
