These guys are a Joke, I have a AAA account, they were lined up to town For F450, they called me and asked me to send them pics of the truck, No Biggy rite, they then call me back and say they dont contract with AAA to tow Vehicles my size, if I want them to tow me it will be out of pocket, I call AAA and they say absolutely not thats not how this works, AAA rep calls and they tell him they dont have a Med Duty tow truck at all, Weird when they were on the phone with me they had one But id have to pay for it. STRAIGHT SCAMMERS!!!! Pathetic way of doing business!!!!
⚠️ EXTREMELY DANGEROUS EXPERIENCE – BE CAREFUL ⚠️
Today at approximately 1:30 PM, a tow truck (unit #439949) entered the Target parking lot on Othello Ave at a very high speed. At that exact moment, my daughter (who I was carrying in my arms) and I were crossing, and the driver almost ran us over, even though there were two STOP signs with flashing lights directly in front of him.
The driver did not stop. He continued speeding, drove onto the sidewalk near the entrance, and parked there, causing damage to public property.
While I was securing my daughter in the car, the driver approached me aggressively and started insulting and verbally harassing me, right in front of the Target entrance, as if the incident had been my fault.
I called the number listed on the tow truck to report what happened. The person who answered, who identified himself as “Leo,” said no one spoke Spanish and was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.
This company clearly has a history of reckless drivers and endangering pedestrians—this is not the first report like this. AAA has already received this complaint, and I will be pursuing further action.
A company that almost runs over a child should not be operating. If this is how they treat people, imagine how they treat your vehicle. USE EXTREME CAUTION.
My experience with Tony’s auto Center was terrible when it came to the dispatcher “Leo” RUDE, lazy & didn’t care to help me~ However, Erick Merrick saved the day!!! The tow truck driver Erick was SO helpful, fast, quick and excuted to tow expeditiously. Please Thank Erick Merrick for a great job!!Because of Erick we give 20 stars! Leo needs to go back to customer service training !
I had an extremely frustrating experience with this tow yard. On Friday, 1/2/26, I went during normal business hours to retrieve my vehicle, which had been towed after I hydroplaned and called 911. I was told by Tony’s Auto Center that the tow yard would be open, and under the law, tow companies are required to be open on weekdays that are not federal holidays—Friday was not a holiday.
When I arrived, an employee informed me that their manager had just called and decided to close for the day. They then told me I would have to pay $150 just to access my personal items. On top of that, a backpack was stolen from the trunk of my car while it was in their possession. No one else had access to the car, so the theft had to have occurred at their lot.
This was completely unacceptable. I trusted them to handle my car safely after a stressful emergency, and instead I was met with closed doors, an extra fee, and stolen property. I would strongly caution anyone against using this tow yard
The customer service is terrible; they don't help you, they just yell at you. You go there frustrated about your vehicle, and instead of helping you, they give you the wrong directions. They made me drive around a lot to get my car out, and they charge an exorbitant price. And to top it all off, they smoke inside the establishment, and it smells awful.

just witnessed a driver threaten to hit two pedestrians with his tow truck walking through a parking lot in canyon plaza of telegraph on 09/22/2025 at 17:05. if these are the people that are working for this company, I would not trust a single soul to tow my car. horrible, disgusting and disgraceful.
Recently had my car break-down, Tony's came out on the behalf of AAA. I had an amazing conversation with one of their towers and felt extremely comfortable the whole process. They're professional, quick, and reliable!
Dwayne was amazing and super helpful! My car arrived to the shop in very good condition and handled everything with care and thoughtfulness. I am totally satisfied with the service Dwayne has provided. He is truly one of a kind at what he does!
I had a tire accident today and needed to get my truck towed to a tire shop. I called AAA, and they sent Dwayne. They responded very quickly. Dwayne arrived in 20 minutes. My truck was parked in a busy area, and he managed to get it out of the highway with no scratch. He is professional and took good care of my truck from loading and unloading. Satisfied overall! Totally unprofessional service. We called AAA to tow our car. We needed the car towed from a side street, to our apartment parking spot. The driver was combative right off the bat. Told us that the tow wasn't covered. Argued with my wife and just had a nasty attitude. Then he decided to jump in his truck and peel off. My wife was trying to get a photo of his license plate and he nearly runs my wife over! We called the company to file a complaint and they were just as nasty and combative. Literally hung up on my wife. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Thinking of filing a police report. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Arturo was very helpful in helping get my car started and then confirming the issue with my car before dropping it off at the service center down the street. Just what I needed after the unexpected day I've had with my car breaking down. Would recommend for anyone needing a tow.
Today Dwayne came to tow my truck, he was very professional yet friendly too! Dwayne got my truck hooked up quickly and when we got to the repair place he did an awesome job backing it in to a tight spot! I was completely and totally satisfied with Dwayne!
I should have reviewed earlier that Ivan has come to give our car a jump several times. He is another great employee I should have recognized the first, second and third time he helped us out!

Arturo came to save the day when I locked myself out of my car at the gym. It was a super cold night but he came around very quickly, was super friendly, and got the job done in less than a minute. If the rest of the people here are like Arturo, then I highly recommend.
DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The employees at this place are beyond rude, unprofessional and charge in excess. They say that they only accept cash if they tow your car and inpound it but any establishment that is contracted with the Chula Vista Police Department is required to take cards. If you experience this please contact the police. This is by far the WORST place I have ever dealt with. If I could give minus stars I would.
Extremely rude. After waiting 4 1/2 months for Cadillac to replace an engine ony XTS, it dies on me just before getting home and hours later when this companies driver arrives, he comes with an attitude and without even having my car up, he leaves because I requested a few mins to say goodbye to my wife and couldn't even wait 2 mins. Driver ends up going down a dead end, forcing coming back only to tell me he gave me 30 mins in reference to how long i had to wait. Dispatch then said I was combative. There's no way, when I only exchanged a few sentences. No,.empathy, compassion or kindness of any kind. I wish I could give a zero star. If you need tow and there an option for one with Angel in the name, go there, not here.
I was driving in Chula Vista and managed to clip a curb. My tire ended up with a leak in the sidewall and went flat. I contacted AAA and they sent out Tony's Auto Center. I currently have an injured shoulder and their Tech, Jorge Garcia, showed up within 40 minutes and put my donut on so I could make it home. Fast service with good people. I hope I don't need their help again for awhile ( knock on wood), but would use them again if I had a choice! Five Stars!
A driver at Tony’s auto center attempted to run me off the road while we were in two lanes merging and I was clearly ahead of them. They aggressively sped up to block the space I was merging into while blaring their horn at me. I couldn’t move or else their tow bed would have damaged my vehicle and their attempt to run me off the road/force me behind them endangered themselves, the car they were towing, and almost forced me to collide with two individuals who got into an accident and were standing outside of their vehicles on the right shoulder. It was largely unprofessional and dangerous, I would not trust my vehicle being towed with their driver.
My son’s car died and I wanted to tow his car from San Diego to Fullerton to go to our trusted mechanic. Zaid from Tony’s auto center came very quickly and was able to load the car from a very tight space and deliver the car in no time. Super appreciate his professionalism and efficiency.
Zaid was the best tow truck driver I’ve ever had. He took very good care of my baby. My Belair. I would like to request him again if I had to in near future. He is a great asset to your company. I will definately choose Tony’s auto again thank you Serina
Zaid was my tech and helped me at first he told me my car was too low and didn’t wanna damage the car. Took off my bumper requested another tow and he came back within 5-6mins and helped me get my ILX back home thank you
Tony's was sent to me through AAA to assist with a spare tire (our jack is MIA) and a tow. The tech showed up quickly!! AAA estimated an hour but he was there within 15 minutes so we weren't waiting around and we could get the cars handled and repaired. He was efficient and courteous through it all, even assuring me the tire could simply be patched when he pointed out the issue.
