This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on recent feedback, Southbay Battery (aka Alpha Battery) in Chula Vista, CA scores 97/100. Sentiment is strongly positive: customers praise low pricing (often under $60), fast installs (about 15 minutes), and courteous staff who test, remove, and replace batteries on the spot. Reviewers also note eco‑friendly refurbished options with solid warranties at roughly half the cost of new. Inventory appears reliable—calls to confirm stock are handled smoothly. No major complaints surfaced. Data is battery‑centric; yard organization and broader parts variety weren’t covered, so certainty there is limited.
This place has the best prices on batteries and I want to thank Richard for going above and beyond removal of old battery and installing new one thank you Richard I will definitely come back!
Effortless! Called in the morning to verify they had mine in stock, they did. Miguel tested installed and swapped within 15 minutes. Great value and excellent service. Fantastic
Batteries are refurbished which is great for the environment, and you get the same warranty as buying a new one for half the price. I recommend you give them a call
