Recently I was informed by my auto dealers in my Cadillac converter needs to be replaced and I could look into recycling centers to be able to sell it back since they have such a high value here in California when I called this girl to get just some general questions on the process and you know what kind of price range is just in the general attitude told me I don't have time to talk to you and hung up the phone. That response and then after looking at the reviews on the site I definitely will not even be taking my business there to be screws like everybody else seems to be on thanks for the reviews people I'll look into some other places
Don't go here they'll rip you off if you bring anyferrous metals they'll short you at least $10 on the actual daily spot price this has happened every time I go there should be reported to balance and measures.
There is something off about this place, you don't get a receipt to show weights and prices per pound, other places provide receipts with the cash you get. I didnt think much about it, until today. 3 trash cans full to the top of glass 2 bins of plastic and 2 bins of aluminum and again 60 and some change. Something fishy about this because the last 3 times we went which had more we never made more than 60. So that makes a 150% if not 200% profit. I went to another place with half the amount and walked away with 40 to 50 each time. Taking my stuff to other businesses that show pricing and provide receipts.
Usuakly i have a great experience, the owner has always been nice . But whenever its the daughter i find myself about 10 bucks short everytime shes the cashier.after reading comments i see im not the only one.
After seeing how you speak to everyone who has a problem why would i talk to you in person? Ill let google know so the world can decide for themselves.
Haven't gone there yet...going today. I gave it 5 stars because of the way the owner responds to the reviews. Lol classic. Thanks for the laughs. I have to meet this person.
Did 2 trips of bottles and somehow they only gave me 60$. Usually get around 80$+ with 2 trips but they mixed my plastic bottles with another customers and asked twice ( the worker and th owner ) “ how many plastic bottles did you have?”. They kept a good 20$ what a shame they used to be my favorite recycling center. — KEEP TRACK OF YOUR BOTTLES/CANS! — you cant put your trust on this people to do their job properly or with dignity.
The best and quickest recycling in Chula Vista opened 7 days a week and they buy more then just crv. I took some copper and wire here and left with $300. I Will be coming back very soon.
I prefer this recycling place to others in Chula Vista. Other places in CV make you wait long and sometimes they mix your own stuff with other customers and they act like they did not make mistakes. South Bay Recycling staff are friendly and very quick, and as long as you sort your recyclables in the containers they provide you will be out of there in no time. They take coupons which could give you a few extra bucks.
A digital coupon was offered on Clipp. It gave an option for a digital copy. Says nothing about needing to print. Got there and they wouldn't accept the coupon. Told me to print the one out from their website which I pointed out to them was expired back in 2022. She stated that they would still accept it. Why would I print out an expired coupon and expect them to honor it? I was already there and they wouldn't honor the coupon even though I was showing it to them and showed them that their site was expired. Bad business on their part won't be back.
Don't go here. Staff is very rude and uncooperative. They belittle you for having 1 plastic bottle that is not allowed by CA. They won't take your coupons unless you "print" them no matter how valid the coupon is. Avoid this rude stinky place.
It was my first time going there so I had no idea what I was supposed to do. The lady was super nice and walked me through the process explaining what to do. They have plenty of sorting cans. I suggest to sort your clear plastic from none clear(colored) and also sort your cans and glass bottles at home so when you get there you’ll be in and out in less than five minutes. Well organized place and hard working staff. I would go there again.
Always friendly and helpful. Scrap prices vary sometimes on a daily basis due to market changes. Having been a small business owner, I understand the unique problems of these businesses. I try to do business with family owned small businesses when possible. I have been satisfied during the past years with this business. ( 7 days per week, competitive prices, ease of access, and friendly people) Give this business an opportunity to serve you.
The man who was working there was so helpful. It was my first time going there. He sorted out things that didn’t belong and was so nice. I made sure to give him a tip and let him know how much I appreciated his help. Will take my recycle there again next time.
The blonde hair lady attends nicely but the black haired lady with green eyes is tremendously rude. All the times she's attended, it has been an awful experience. Customer service is important.
I recommend this place over any other recycling place around. They all have been in great moods and they are quick. The lady who weighs everything has always been very sweet. There’s plenty of parking and they have plenty of containers to put your items in and the containers are in excellent condition so there’s no need to question the weight. This is the place to recycle at. Hours are 8-5 Mon - Sat and Sunday until 1. Who does that on Sundays?
Today was my first time here. They were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I was directed kindly to the roller bins to separate my items (plastic water bottles and cans). Then, stood in a very short line and I told the gentleman that it was my first time here. He welcomed me kindly and guided me along the way. It was easy...they weight items and then, cash you out, efficiently. It was a great experience. I will definitely be back here to recycle.
Dec/21'. Thursday afternoon. The gentleman who does the weighing did a exceptional and professional job with assisting my first time experience here. After sorting out my goods, the wait was under few minutes before I was cashed out by the friendly gal behind the window. Great job everyone!
I found this place after my normal place was over crowded! No crowds!! Fast easy! Matched the coupon that I brought with me. I will be coming back here. The recycling is for a fundraiser for my Cub Scouts and every little bit counts! Sorting bins are out in the open for customers to place their items. They weigh in front of you and pay quickly. Thanks again for the fast friendly service!

Great lady to work with. Again matched coupon for $1.75 or $1.70 with Yelp check in. The lady is the kindest nicest lady!
I've been coming here for quite sometime and overall its very convenient open sundays which is a big plus except for when they close early on that day. But plenty of parking, lines are pretty fast, pricing is about the same as everywhere else so its fair only negative i can say is that when i go and the mom (owner) is not there it will usually be the daughter and she won't take the scrape plastics that don't have CRV on it yet her mother has no problem accepting it every time we come there. Overall mainly the only one i will go to
The owner here is amazing. She's quick to get you through as soon as possible, as opposed to other places where they don't care and are really rude. Kind friendly service with detail to professionalism.
super fast and easy. It Was my first time going here. I Was in and out in under 10 mins I went in the morning time around 9:30am. all you have to do is grab the tire cart put either can's or plastic in it and if you have glass bottle you grab the gray trash can. Then they weigh it for you and cash you Out. Super easy. The day I went staff was kinda friendly. Didn't talk much but I didn't mind cause I just wanted the $$ lol.. no problems!
I went there for the first time today and was very happy with the service we got. The woman working there, (I assume might be the owner) was very friendly. I should have asked her for her name but I didn't. I'll ask her next time, because I will DEFINITELY be back.
