This AAMCO on Broadway in Chula Vista, CA, has very good service . They were very kind and honest. I've been trying for 16 years to get Hyundai dealership to change my transmission fluid, they told me they were the only ones that can do that for my car. I called AAMCO and they said they can do it and charge me a very reasonable price. I will bring my car to them for my services that I need on my car, because they do everything. I thank God for sending AAMCO to me.??????

Memo clearly explained what could be wrong with my car as well as what it wouldn’t be based on the signs I had explained to him. He was able to give me a rough estimate about cost with out having the car fully evaluated, which was within $100 of the actual cost. I will definitely be returning to Aamco for any future car problems.

Well, even though I wasn't able to have my transmission fixed at AAMCO I did have a great experience. Memo greeted me right away when I came in (I had talked with him on the phone several times) and he was friendly, caring about my situation and knowledgeable. It just wasn't affordable to pay that much money on a 12 year old car. When I came to pick up my car he told me (in terms I could understand) what the issue was and said to please come back if he could help in any way possible. He is a great employee and a good representative of your company!!!

Five stars and here is why: The coordinator helped prohibit change my appointment when I had a family emergency. Also, the diagnostic technician was proficient, clear and concise. The summary analysis indicated no transmission or other problems, the AAMCO Z manager insisted there was no charge for this service.

Transmission fluid change took less than an hour and was reasonably priced. My best experience with a shop in San Diego in the last 8 years.

I am new to Aamco but my experienced for both of my car repairs exceeds my expectations. I have my own mechanic for awhile but sometimes getting comparison from other mechanics is needed. When I arrived at Chula Vista shop “Memo “is very helpful. He assures me and his team that they will take care of my car. I paid less than my mechanics quoted me and when I say less more savings on my end. They always empathize their customers which is a huge factors why I trust them as a new customer. Recently bought a used car and 3 weeks later, the transmission gave out.Took my 2011 Jetta here for a 2nd opinion. 1st shop was going to charge me a ridiculous amount for a transmission rebuild. Memo gave me several options and was very helpful with explaining everything. Got my car back and running within 4 days at a reasonable price too. Just take your car here. Don't even bother with other shops. Seriously.

I took my vehicle here for a second opinion after experiencing a vibration in the steering wheel at high speeds, even after having the tires 'balanced' at another shop. The first shop claimed it was due to a bad transmission mount. However, the team here checked it out and assured me the transmission mount was fine; the issue was actually with the wheel. I took the car back to the tire shop, had the tires rebalanced, and now the vibration is completely gone. I really appreciate the honesty — it's rare to find nowadays. I would definitely recommend this shop!

I went to this shop at the beginning of May to figure out what was going on with my fiat 500 abarth turbo. I first messaged them on Yelp and the response from the owner was quick and pleasant. I was able to take my car right away and only took a few hours. When I came back, the guy at the counter had the worst attitude when I had questions about the issue. They told me the part wouldn't be there until the end of the month, which was fine, my car is Italian so I know parts take a while. When I asked to see what they saw, the actual mechanic also had an attitude about me asking him questions so I could get a better understanding. Anyway, 30 days pass, I didn't get a call about the part, so I messaged them on Yelp again. The owner said he wasn't in the office, so he would have the guy at the counter call me, but I never got a call. I JUST went back to message them, and all of our messages have been deleted. I don't usually write reviews, but this was so unprofessional. I do not recommend this place. The owner is cool, but the employees? Not so much.

MY AAMCO Experience was wonderful! I am very hesitant of any auto body shops, but decided to roll the dice with this one after reading multiple different platforms of reviews. They were truly outstanding, knew what they were talking about and was able to fix a long-standing problem in a very timely manner. They used genuine Subaru parts and it comes with a 12 month warranty of service free of charge. They were very flexible with my schedule as I work six days a week and all around just a really awesome shop. I have already recommended them to another friend of mine!! Ron, the owner, even personally reached out to see how my service was. I am grateful for Memo, Ron and the whole crew over at AAMCO Chula Vista! I would highly recommend supporting this mom and pop shop over giant corporations.

I had the best experience at AAMCO Chula Vista. My vehicle had a transmission cooler line leak and figured it would be down for a couple of weeks. They got me in and out in just half a day and at a great price! I was amazed. I want to give a shout out to Memo. He took care of me like I was family. His honesty, communication, and customer service is 2nd to none. He was clear explaining the diagnosis and recommended repair. I travel back and forth to San Diego regularly and depend on a reliable vehicle when I'm there. I will be taking my vehicle to AAMCO for all servicing. Held my vehicle for a week plus without ordering a part or attempting to fixing the actual problem. They were supposed to call Silver Rock (policy agency) and file a claim to get my repair done. I contacted the repair man nearly everyday asking if he had filed the claim and was told yes and that he was waiting on Silver Rock to approve it. I then contacted Silver Rock on three separate occasions to see if the claim had been filed with them and it hadn’t. Finally, I arranged a three way phone call with Silver Rock and the AAMCO Manager, during which, Silver Rock informed the AAMCO Manager that no claim had been filed at all. The AAMCO manager persistently maintained that he filed the claim but had no claim number to show for it. I had to stay on the three way call for an hour plus to make sure the AAMCO manager properly filed the claim with Silver Rock and could order the part I needed and commence the repair. After the repair was completed, the original noise in the engine that brought me to the repair shop was still there. They didn’t even fix my issue. They then told me after the fact that they found a service bulletin that applied to my vehicle and that was the reason my vehicle was making the loud noise. However, upon inspection of the service bulletin I found that it did not even apply to my make and model, they merely provided it to get me out of the way. This was the worst car repair experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. I have been turned off from all AAMCOs in the future, never again. Update 04Oct2022: Just had a certified Honda dealership take a look at my vehicle the week after AAMCO said that they replaced the muffler and Honda is reporting that the muffler was not changed at all. Something bad is going on here…
