If you're looking to recycle cardboard, don't go here. Stick to cans and bottles only. Shop around if you need to recycle cardboard

Take your business elsewhere. Plenty of independents scattered around town who are more honest and willing to work with you if you have questions. This place in particular, Worst recycle in Ontario, I’ve lived here 20 years. Came as a child with my dad, but never again. Look at their replies to complaints, they don’t care about you. They don’t even try. They are really rude, do the bare minimum. Do Not recommend. I go out of my way to avoid this place. Every time I have gone the receptionists are the worst experience, the MAIN reason why I don’t go. They clearly have something better to do. I apologize for those with integrity that are catching strays, but I dislike when people are too bothered to show effort in their job or simple kindness to a fellow person. Don’t visit this place. If you do. Hope it’s different for you. Also, don’t take your children, they can’t stand children who touch the yellow railing, even if you are the only person in line, they’ll address your toddler on an intercom. If you have questions regarding the market or regulations, “I don’t know, this how we do it, you can go somewhere else and ask.” She didn’t even try. I can’t express enough how dissatisfied, disappointed, and disgusted by this location. I will never go again. I never leave reviews. Much less try to take business away from someone, but I don’t exaggerate when I say 3 out 3 times I went (because I’m local) I had a similar experience. I say this because every other recycle center or individual I visit is the complete opposite. Anyway, visit at your own risk.

This place charges a $10 fee for sort and segregation of cans. When I’m the one that separates everything all they do is weigh it and than dump it in the big bin.

Fast And Efficient Staff, Makes It Easy To Recycle There. How they have the yard is setup helps also.

Their scale to weight the cans and plastic are messed up or they r stealing from people. They need to fix them or have them serviced. I used my own scale at home and there was a significant difference.

This place is very inconsistent in how decide to pay you for something. If you're not on top of it they will rip you off. Don't waste your gas coming here, this place used to actually be half decent. I wouldn't be surprised if employees get some kind of bonus or commission for ripping off the community. To top it off some of the employees have an attitude on how you prefer to sell your material. I have seen scales fluctuate as much as .6 Really not sure what is going on at this yard but it's not looking good.

I been going here for years to sell my recycle. I just started paying attention to their prices and they are not paying top dollar. I advise people to shop around. For example they payed me $2.90 a pound for copper I found a place that pays $3.50 that adds up in the long run. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I take all of my bottles my cans and my non-ferrous metals to this location and they always treat me fairly

All the employees are great and they have a ton of knowledge about all recyclable materials and the prices are great also! Im still gonna keep my 5 star rating for y'all but I have an issue. I have aluminum crv cans that have the top separated from the can because at the bar where the cans come from they remove the top for some reason, i think to drink from the can like a cup, well I bring in the cans with the lids and I am told you will not pay CRV on them. One of the employees said they can't because i did not purchase them. How many of the cans and bottles that people bring in do you think they purchased all of them? It doesn't matter who paid the deposit on the can. The deposit was paid. It just doesn't make sense because I can take the lid, put it in the can and then smash the can, and you will never know that they were separated. Then the one employee raise his voice at me. Telling me that he already told me he can't take it, but he didn't explain any sensable reason as to why. I'm not mad at you guys and I'm not even feeling any type of way besides just being confused. Another point I'd like to make is there are some containers that do not say crv on them at all, but you guys take them as crv now like wine bottles. Do you see why maybe I might be a bit confused. That's my little event. But I love you guys and I thank you for doing business with me and keep up the good work and yeah stay smart and be safe!!!

Called first they quoted $3.25 on copper and "top dollar" on lead they weigh it then take it and give you a slip then the cashier paid $0.98lb on the 138 pounds of copper and $0.07 (seven pennies) on the 134 pounds of lead about $150 wasn't worth my time Not an honest system and they do not pay "top dollar"

I take my teen son to recycle about once a month. All employees are kind, courteous, and hardworking from what we've seen and experienced. Very organized.

BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS Received $7 dollars for an all aluminum trailer rim. But other place will give you +$30. Unfortunately in hopes of finding someone I could do business to keep trading these aluminum rims I was let down by someone’s personal greed I receive them all the time at work so I don’t mind hope his family all ate and it wasn’t for personal addictions, since he probably needs it more than I do. It’s even more sad that it was a short older guys who usually has his safety goggles on that I’ve seen there for years But got another one took it down the street and received $35 for it. Just to confirm this place either doesn’t know enough to properly pay customer for stuff other than the minor things like cans and plastics or they do know and took advantage of the situation for personal revenue Do Not bring them any aluminum rims from cars trucks and trailers no mudflap bracket either.

I've been going to this recycling center for years, and I've never had a bad experience taking in cans and bottles. Stopped by with a SUV full and was able to get in and out quickly. It can get busy, but if you have your materials sorted already, all you have to do is dump it in their containers and slide it over. Today it was really busy, but while I was sitting in my car waiting for a spot to open up, a guy named Jake assured me they'd get me in there asap so I could drop everything off. The workers helping weigh and sort are kind and make the process easy! Even in the 100 degree heat! Picking up my money is always a little weird, only because it is really hard to hear and see the women behind the windows, but I always manage to get in and out pretty quickly regardless. I'll be back again the next time I save a car load of recycling.

I recently visited Main Street Fibers to redeem some CRV bottles and cans, and I was impressed with their service. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they made the redemption process quick and easy. I appreciate that they are doing their part to promote recycling and reduce waste by accepting PET bottles and aluminum cans for redemption. Their facility is clean and well-organized, and they provide a great service to the community. I highly recommend Main Street Fibers for anyone looking to redeem CRV bottles and cans!

Godbless everybody

They put a 3 day hold on all the metal over 20$, it doesn't matter if you've been there recently. If you want your metal back, you better hope they haven't mixed it in yet or else there's nothing they can do. Customer service was rude and slow as well. Save your money and time, go elsewhere.

TERRIBLE PLACE ! Its so upsetting that I even have to write this review it’s ridiculous. I have ALWAYS gone to this recycling center because it WAS my favorite one in ontario. I usually collect lots of cans and plastics and take them all at once in 2 different cars. Well I have a Fiat so I cant fit many bottles so my boyfriend brought some bottles in his car. We wanted to do 2 rounds so we can get rid of most of the recyclables we had. Well as soon as I get there the 2nd time “LUIS” decides to come towards me barely letting me get off my car telling me that I cant recycle anymore because there is a 100lb limit which IS NOT TRUE. It is 100lb for ALUMINUM and 100lb for PLASTIC PER CAR. I had 2 cars meaning 200lb of aluminum and 200lb of plastic were acceptable. Well he still decided to take my receipt from my first trip which was only 5lb combined to the supervisors to see if I could recycle which OFCOURSE THEY SAID I CAN. Point is they try to push you around ! After that conflict LUIS kept giving me dirty looks and walking around my car trying to intimidate me. I had NEVER seen this LUIS EVER when I always use to come . I will not be returning here ever especially when Luis is still there trying to intimidate people instead of doing his actual job . And his coworkers straight up told me after to not listen to him that he’s crazy and trippen. If he is crazy and trippen then why the f is he working there .

Very bad experience. Got ripped off for a truck load of aluminum. They act friendly but they rip you off in the end. After unloading I go to the counter and the lady says 4¢ per pound. I asked for the aluminum back and they said no because they said it already was processed. Don't go here, they are thieves. They gave me $30 for 750 lbs of clean aluminum. The worst part is they didn't even pay me yet because they put a 2 day hold on anything over $20. BEWARE this place will scam you!

Old place for recycling cans and all sorts of materials. They have multiple buildings that will take your cans, cardboard, paper, metal, aluminum scraps, and copper wire. Like most recycling centers, they will not give you the benefit of the doubt and low price your scrap materials if you should bring copper wiring or aluminum conduit. Advice is to strip the insulation off any wire and remove any plastics from conduit. You get the most out of your deposit. Side note: I did repair on a shear, had one of the biggest brass gears I ever carried by hand. Worst price for it and then when I came to claim the price, they conveniently forgot who I was. Had to remind the operator about that huge, heavy gear and then was able to argue with the supervisor. Got my money, but not what it should have been...

I've been going there for 15 years and always get good prices on my precious metals and my CRV. A perk of being a regular customer and faithful client is I don't have to wait 3 days to get my money if it's past $20.

On Thursday Oct. 3, 2019 my husband & I came here to turn in our recycle. After filling up 8 bins with our recycled plastic. We were told that there’s a 100lb limit per day per person. We had so much more in our van, so we said we would just turn in what was in the bins & take the rest back home till the next day. We were told that they couldn’t take partial of what we had. We either had to let them take it all & they would pay us 5 cents a pound, not the going rate of $1.26 or take it all back. We were in such disbelief, that they would not take only what we had put in the bins & we would take the rest home. The worker stated because he had seen all the recycle we had in the van. It was either or, we were so disappointed in there handling of this. So we rebagged the recycle we had put in the bins & took it back home. The outrage of them saying they would only give us 5 cents a pound for everything we had, or we had to take it all back. They could of let my husband turn in half & myself the other half. SORRY this is how they do business SOOOO DISAPPOINTING!!!!

Run of your mill recycling center. Most of the workers speak Spanish, but clear enough English to finish a transaction. Set in the rural area of Montclair ,Ontario border, the place is next to a railroad track still being used today. The yard is one of three, yes that's right three. One is for industrial recycling materials via businesses , the other for packing and shipping for the state it seems and the one I'm reviewing. Is for the local collected and recyclables. It's really simple, you pull in one way. You empty your cargo in containers lined against the wall. Walk up to the yellow line, to get weighed in and get your receipt. Then make your way to a very wierd one way mirror window and hand over your ticket. Collect your money and leave knowing you help your carbon footprint. Serve is very minimal by example. It's dirty and industrial, so you know it's recycling standards. Quick and painless. Bring gloves and have fun.

I agree with Anthony. I just left there. Same thing. I was rejected for a few cans because the crv was unreadable on the lid due it run over by a car. They were Coors light cans. Clearly a crv items. They attempt to throw them away. I asked for them back. I got a immediate attitude from the attendant. I have never had a clearly recyclable item rejected by a recycling center. I will not ever go back. I have further called the better business bureau and have asked for a review. Turns out complaints are being filed left and right. Not just from customers but employees alike. . My advice is to go somewhere else. Anywhere.

3 dollars for an engine really!! Called twice ahead of time to find out pricing expecting ATLEAST 20 30 bucks only 3 dollars because I didn't take it apart but I called and asked ahead of time what needs to be done and really you're gonna fail to mention a main part that needs to be done couldn't even understand the female on the phone or at the cashier stand such a thick accent I understand we are in ontario but speak clearly and loudly so we don't end up wasting each other's time.
