I was in a bad situation today and Guy My tow driver was so awesome! He came on time located my car without me being there and calm me down because I was all over the place! I had a therapist and a tow driver! Thank you, guy.

I requested jump start service.
The lady on the phone didn’t seem to have any local knowledge of Marin County streets….so I finally gave her the ZIP Code 94903 and said I was in the last corner spot in the Safeway parking lot adjacent to the walkway next to the four-way intersection at Las Gallinas Ave/Freitas Parkway- adding you couldn’t miss me:
Explaining how my car was very visible and my wheelchair was right next to it.
More silence.
She asked for my callback number.
I told her I had borrowed a phone because mine was dead.
Unacknowledged, with more dead air causing me to ask if she is still there …
her response was they would arrive in 45 minutes and would check in when they were close by.
I reminded her my phone was dead.
I couldn’t charge it with a dead car battery, I had borrowed a cell phone from a random stranger, so they couldn’t call me.
More awkward silence….
So I assured her I wasn’t going anywhere as I couldn’t drive my car given its current condition…so there was no need to check in with me.
After a long pregnant pause
she then asked for a Credit card to “secure my spot.”
I told her I didn’t have my credit card on me. (safely tucked away at home) only cash on me.
Another long pause.
“Well, they will be there in 45 minutes and they will call when they’re close”
It was as though he didn’t listen to 90% of what I said.
rather than repeat, the obvious I simply replied “Mmhmm. I’ll be here. Thank you for your time” and hung up.

Two long hours later, it was clear they weren’t coming.
Just say negative experience all the way around.
Terrible service.
I called at 1:30 Pm to request a tow service,
After waiting 2.5 Hrs, just got a call from the driver he is in his way to do the service (20 minutes away)
Excellent support from Tow Santa Rafael. They showed up faster than I expected and maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the entire process. The whole experience was smooth and reassuring, I’d definitely use them again. This company has great customer care
They lacked the ability to jump my vehicle and had to get it towed and examined by a shop only to tell me it was the battery and the shop was able to jump it no problem. It cost me an additional $440 all because the driver was unable to jump it. Very disappointed and would not recommend using them. The rep on the phone was kind, however.
10-4 Tow of San Rafael really helped me when I thought nobody would. They were very professional and handled the situation very smoothly. I highly recommend them.

At 9:30 they said they would arrive by 10:30. I cancelled at noon after repeated promises. They took my credit card info when I first called, they said they would charge $50 if I wasn’t there when the truck arrived. I think they are used to people getting tired of waiting. Call another tow company.

Jonathan was amazing! Our car ended up in a tricky spot off the road, and he handled the whole situation like a pro. It wasn’t an easy job, he literally climbed up a hillside into the trees to help get our car out. Through it all, he was calm, thoughtful, and made sure we felt safe every step of the way. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to show up when we needed help.

Outstanding Tow Truck Service from Guy
I had an incredible experience with Guy. My car was in a tiny garage and it wouldn’t start. Two other tow trucks were unable to move my car. Guy was somehow able to pull of a miracle. After completing what felt like a 90 point turn, my car was free! I have no clue how he was able to stay so calm while he maneuvered my car
Guy was beyond patient and reassuring throughout my frustration of the situation.
I can’t recommend him enough—if you ever need a tow, this is the person to call!

Blew a tire we couldn’t change at an oil change parking lot curb. (Due to a stripped wheel stud) Jonathan gave us an ETA and showed up in that. And stayed good natured on the tight winding roads to my house where I could work on my daughter’s car. On the weekend. Knew it was all wheel drive which I didn’t even know, and towed it correctly. And did so at the price quoted.
Driver was super nice actually to give me great advice and brought the car back home without me being there. It was polite, friendly, and give me a good price. Thank you so much.
Johnathan was excellent. We were in a parking garage with a narrow ramp, and he expertly navigated it and got our car safely home. On top of his skill, he was incredibly kind and made sure we were okay. Wonderful service.
Edited ro reflect: The owner personally reached out to me and refunded me for the lower end that I was quoted and ensured he would speak to both the dispatcher and technician to make sure they provide better service going forward. Thank you for making it right!
Called and said I had a flat and needed a tow down the road to a tire shop and gave both addresses. Waited longer than the wait time I was given, and then a surly dude arrived who copped an attitude with me immediately. He put my spare on and I paid-I asked if he was going to throw it on the truck now and he said “absolutely not you didn’t ask for that” and left me stranded in the rain with a spare that was not safe to drive. I will NEVER support this business again-paid $150 (more than I was quoted) for something I could have done myself and received awful customer service.
My motorcycle went off the driveway in a low speed fall and was in a very awkward position. The driver rigged it well to pull it out without damaging the bike. Thanks so much!
I needed a flat tire changed on my pickup truck. I told them there wasn't a rush but they stayed in contact with eta info, as they were very busy. When Dave arrived he went right to work, but it was hard to remove the lug nuts around the tire and drop down the spare under the old truck. He was calm and patient, with a friendly demeanor even in the cold rain. I appreciate the service they provided and highly recommend.
