What clients say about Copart - Anchorage in Anchorage (AK)
So far I am very unhappy with the customer service. I have only delete with phone service but I have never delete with such rude and unpleasant people. Never having been through an accident before, I have/had lots of questions and did not understand how "things" work. Well they defiantly do not care to explain anything. I am very unhappy that I have to deal with them.
Update: I changed from 1 star to 4. Came to pick up some paperwork, Hefonoti was very nice, helpful, and professional, I was pleasantly surprised.
Original review: Stay away if possible. I hate to leave a negative review, but they are not very good business people, especially office people. Rude and kind of crazy, was shocked with the attitude of employees. If you are looking to be treated as dirt, that is the place you want to go. Canceled membership, will use iaa when needed, very disappointed at this copart location.
Wow, I never thought I would be treated like this at any business, I had been using copart since 2004 and had never seen such of crazy employees working at the office. Girl at the office basically told me to f... off because she can't find the information. I was nice and polite as always, have no idea why she was so crazy, she had a bad day, I guess .... had to call copart to fix the problem, and they fixed it quick enough ( 30 minutes), that's why I gave them 3 stars instead of 1
I have been buying at Copart since 2018, there have been a lot of changes, none of them have been helpful to buyers or sellers. Mostly Copart has raised their fees and they are doing very well at making money. When buying they wont let you inspect a vehicle, if you have a free account and are bidding through a broker. I even had the broker call and they wouldn't let me in, wasted 12 hours of driving and $300 in fuel. Used to be that you could inspect and bid with free account, not any more. Just reduces the amount of bidders driving the prices down, except for the for all those bidders from foreign countries! Bidding up the prices!
I just paid 100 dollars for a membership. They took my money and suspended my account for no reason at all. No refund or anything. They need to either unsuspend my account or give me my money back. It’s fricking fraud
I can’t get them to answer the phone to get the title for my vehicle. I’ve been calling for 2 weeks. Even had another location email the anchorage copart over a week ago with no response.
This is a cool copart. You have to be careful because quite a few vehicles are at tow facilities and storage lots on average 300 miles away or more! And some are on islands in which you have to pay a ship to bring it to Seattle. It looks like quite a few of there inventory comes from damage rental cars.
Everybody that I’ve came across at Copart Anchorage, whether they be the front desk clerks or yard crews... helping me each time I come for previews or afterward when I’m paying for my vehicles have been very professionals and happy good day service. Thank you so much for the fast and friendly service.
These guys run fraudulent auctions and should be shut down. Ill explain. During the first 15-20 minutes of when the auction starts, theres so many people logging in that their system will crash and it will show erroneous messages that make it to where anyone new who signs in is not able to bid for the first 20 minutes. For example i have a bidding limit of 24,500 at the time of this posting, however it kept showing that my bid limit was exceeded and wouldn't let me bid on the truck that I had been watching for months. I was planning on bidding it up to 20k, but because i was unable to bit it sold for $12,100. Even though I called their corporate office and they found that there was a problem with this auction, they refused to do anything about it, shafting their seller, in this case USAA. Nobody in management cares that they are committing auction fraud, Ive summited a picture below for proof
I have been buying cars from Copart for over 10 years and have been very happy with the staff and manager. I have never had a problem with them. Keep up the good work!!!
All staff polite and helpful.
Staff polite, and helpful. They answered every question I had, and made it seems like my question legitimately mattered to them.
Gentleman who loaded was also polite, and a master with that loader. Placed my vehicle flawlessly right where I needed it.
I was nervous about buying from them on auction mostly because of concern for pickup, but all went well.
I never put any vehicle there to sell. If your car is a junk, maybe it is good place for you but for clean title cars NO.
They keep your car in worse condition outside and after 1 week outside in Alaskan weather you will lose your car.
I would give negative stars if possible. My poor daughter is having a heck of a time with these people. They keep giving her the runaround and USAA won't pay her claim from her totaled car until Copart gives the OK and they keep changing what they need in order to release the claim to USAA. She was able to get a car based on putting down the money she would be getting from USAA, but now has to give it back to the dealer because USAA won't release the money to her without Copart's ok and it has been over TWO MONTHS since she started this whole process!!! Copart has given USAA one story and my daughter another and me yet another (when I decided to try to help my daughter, who is a single mom and really needs a vehicle). Don't EVER do business with these people because they will just screw you over too. They should not be in business and have no clue what they are doing. I have advised my daughter to try to get an attorney to help her pro bono (since she works at Starbucks and has barely enough money to survive, let alone retain an attorney and I don't have the means to retain one either). I feel Copart is taking advantage of someone who is vulnerable. Shame on you Copart!
Very odd business, you hit a certain price on a vehicle on the online auction and your like woo hoo I won, and you thinking OK the price might go up like 10-20%, not here. The price can go up as much as 50-100%, the only reason why I don't watch the auction anymore or even think about bidding, what's the point when they literally make up whatever price they want when you have to pay for the vehicle.
Large company of salvaged cars, trucks,RV's, recreational vehicles & large variety of other transportation for land & sea, where one can purchase or participate on days of particular vehicles which get online-auctioned on certain days of the month. Visit their website for more information on how you can participate in the auctions and/or purchase on site.
Unfortunately this is the company responsible for moving salvaged/used vehicles. After several visits here's the lowdown: staff is always rude and are visibly frustrated that you might have questions. They're much happier staring at their computers while uttering basic commands for any questions you might have. *On a side note if you create an account you must religiously login or they will turn off your login ID. You won't be able to bid or inspect vehicles until you re-enroll. You can only look at the vehicles on Monday and Tuesday* But what should a person really expect when buying wrecked junk?
Don't expect to be treated decently. They will also kick you out of preview if you don't buy a lot of cars. Been to copart all over the country and this one is by far one of the worst.
Please don't expect to receive decent customer service here. Was cussed at by Logan S. because i was frustrated that my belongings werent in my truck still.
My car was taken there after an accident. The people were very informative and professional. They were wonderful and made me feel comfortable with leaving my car with them. Thank you.
