Bought headlight bulbs for my ford edge. 70.00 and ask guy at counter to put them in ,,( i tip well) but to my dis belief he said well i just woke up and im tired. It’s cold out and snowing. I said im tired too its not very cold out and its not snowing. I need them done. Please will u do it. … He told me to come back later or better yet look it up on iTube. And do it yourself ‼️‼️I have never been treated so badly there I was really mad. I could have went to Walmart got the same bulbs for 30.00 cheaper … NOT VERY HAPPY. Lazy snotty employee shouldn’t have his job
We own a pressure washing company, we stopped at a rest area near Portage & the starter went out on one of our work trucks. We called the closest Auto Zone & Eric went above and beyond to make sure we got back on the road to take care of our customers!!! He was a savior, and we will definitely be returning if & when we need parts/mechanical advice in the future.
The employee that helped me and got me the error code to Kym Thompsons truck was great. I was able to quickly reconfirm and resolve our problem with his help
Stopped in a few days ago because my car was starting differently and figured it was something electrical. Brandon was a huge help and tested my battery for me and was able to determine it was the issue. Got me a new one and I was back on the road in no time. Autozone in Portage really saved me a ton. Needed a few male wiring harness connectors and Ty went and looked for some. Couldn’t find them and said wait a minute. He just got a kit for his own personal use. Gave me the 6 out of his kit and told me to pass the kindness on!
Recently was passing through Portage while on a cross country trip. Serpentine belt snapped. Luckily you guys were nearby and Brandon was a huge help! Guy was super helpful and professional. Was able to get in and out and get back on the road once it was installed. Dude was a huge help!
Back in June of '23, Ty and the gang at the Portage, WI Autozone greeted us after my bringing them a sick Dodge Caravan w/ a battery light that came on. Their rapid response was that of testing the electrical system (w/ NO hesitation!), and it registered a bad voltage regulator/alternator. We were, as a family, w/ two vehicles, a two year old, and 3 1/2 more hours into a Northern WI vacation already logging three hours before the failure. Ty went out of his way to not only find the part (w/ several options), but found us a competent mechanic (thanks again Northside Auto Repair - you too were a godsend!!) that got it done in timely fashion and got us back on the road later that day and helped to save our trip! You guys went WAY beyond, and we owe a debt of gratitude like no other!! Thanks much again for all! Shop here, folks! You will not be sorry!
I went to Autozone to get a battery; Ty asked if I needed it installed; it was raining & dark out, but he insisted on helping me out. He was out in the dark & cold rain, installing my battery with a genuine smile. He refused my tip after & just said to pass the kindness on to the next person. Thanks to Ty and Autozone!
Associate Paul was very helpful helped found the windshield wipers that would fit our 2013 Sonic didn’t have to look through books trying to cross reference which blades to get and also offered to install them. Customer service above and beyond expectations greatly appreciated. I was pleasantly surprised never expected to have them installed it made my day. Thanks again .

Given incorrect parts... brought them back in and again parts are partially incorrect and some bits missing from boxes. Also the quality in parts seems to have gone down. From them already be broke when getting them to parts breaking with in 30days.. has anyone else having this issue as well? Manager was a bit annoyed when we had to bring them in an exchange blaming us for the mishap of wrong parts. Yet, they looked it up and put the wrong information in to begin with and at first hesitant to do an exchange but realized it was there fault so he did do the exchange. Just make sure when going in to triple check have your part #s ready and have them even double check through the system. We've always liked autozone and it's employees where ever we go but this Autozone left a fowl taste in ours mouths. We are unsure if we will go back unless it has anything to do with our parts we currently got from them and warranty.
I drove directly to the Portage AutoZone after having to have my car jump started the night before to get home from work, and again first thing in the morning. Austin greeted me at the door listened to my concerns, and immediately grabbed a test kit to check both the alternator and the battery. Once he determined that it was a battery issue, he provided helpful and detailed information about the available options, and installed my new battery for me. His knowledge and excellent customer service were greatly appreciated! I'll absolutely shop there again.
My check engine light came on so I took my Jeep to the nearest AutoZone. I spoke with Axel and he quickly ran a test and then promptly had my results. We agreed on the part needed and hooked me up with a great price! Axel even helped me with tips on how to replace the part. I couldn't be happier! This experience took a load off my mind. Natalie was super helpful when I needed help with my wipers. It was raining and she even changed them for me. Life saver considering the situation I was in at the time.
Thank you Autozone! It was pouring rain and my mom’s windshield wipers were less than adequate. I told her to get off the next exit and get new wipers; she said it would take way too long and they would have to order wipers anyways. I convinced her to go to autozone and boy was she impressed. She said Tim was like Jesus on the bank, just waiting to help us. Tim got my mom new wipers and installed them for her; we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thank you for the help, she now loves autozone and is having the best day ever.
Last Thursday February the 18th my Alternator went out while driving to Northern Wisconsin, I stopped in at the portage AutoZone and I was able to pick up a Alternator, the counter people were more than friendly, they reminded me of the special tool program, I used the belt tensioner tool, even though it was single Digits outside, I was able to switch the Alternator out in the parking lot, I was able to borrow a step stool also to help.make my job easier, cant thank the staff enough for all there help, Made me feel good that people are still willing to help someone in need.
Went in needing a oil change, Timothy offered up to give me a deal on oil filter and air filter. Clean and all wearing masks. Will definitely be back an recommend. Timothy was a huge help and seemed to really care about getting me what I needed. Thanks!!!
Their customer service is A number one no hassle returns. No hassle warranty for a new product of the same. Just excellent customer service and everyone I visit from Portage Wisconsin to Sturgis Michigan to Appleton Wisconsin... Wherever I seem to go with a problem or return something that broke before the warranty was up they are so helpful, courteous, and always help or replace whatever is needed... Quickly without question... This company really stands by their customers.
We stopped at the Portage AutoZone at 5:00 pm to find tuneup parts for our 1965 Volkswagen, split window, bus. After talking to Brandon and telling him what we needed, he gave us the parts that were in stock and told us the remaining parts would be in at 10:00 am the next morning. I received a phone call at 10:25 the next morning that our parts were at the store.
How can you ask for better service on parts for a 55 year old German car.

I came in a week ago and I can’t remember his name but he was a bigger man with a beard, I came in looking for a part for my car and he was very rude, had an attitude, acted like just because I’m a women I don’t know anything about cars. He tried to sell me the wrong part just because it was more expensive, didn’t care at all that it was the wrong part, just wanted my money. Will never be going back again, I’m not going to be dealing with that degrading behavior.
Great very helpful. I walk with a cane. I was going into to pick up brake lights. The gentleman went out to my car to look at how many I need. Went and got the ones I needed and went back out to put them in for me. We needed more place and people that are so willing to help people. Thank you very much
Was not impressed with their insight and customer service overall. Seemingly little to no experience with mechanics, or understanding of their overall product structure, aside what the computer reads. When expressing wanting to troubleshoot to start, "sorry, I'm not a mechanic." Asked for fan clutch removing kit, recieved a serpentine belt tool instead.
I locked the keys out of my car this morning at Walgreen's and walked over to Auto Zone to see if they could help me bend a wire so that I could try and fish them out the slightly open window. The two gentlemen working this morning helped me without hesitation and I was able to pull them through into my hands!! Oh what a relief! Thank you so much for helping me!! What a testimony to good customer service.
