We went into see our options to trade in our car for a truck. They were super helpful and help us get our dream truck! Trey and Kimber were amazing throughout the whole process and worked with what we had to get the deal done!

I went to the dealer for a truck planned on financing and told them i wanted to shop around with different banks. They then came back and only shopped with one bank. I looked later and there was many other banks with way lower interest rates. The whole time I was talking with the finance guy and he was talking down to me and my girlfriend. He then marked up the truck during our conversation, then I had to remind him the truck was listed 500$ less then what he said. Then he said with the bank they wanted to go through they wouldn't allow me to buy this, then he cam back saying there where other options for 20K plus when I came in looking at a 11,500$ Truck. I proceeded to look back at the website less then one week later and they had the same truck I was looking at listed for 13k. I dont like to leave bad reviews but because the people I worked with there were just kinda mean. Seeing other people had the same experience as me i just thought I would add and tell people that I would 100% go somewhere else to buy a car.

I purchased a 2017 Ford Escape with 48,000 miles a couple months ago. I've made 2 loan payments and have made almost $6,000 in repairs. 1st the horn didn't work. Then the temp sensor went out and it had to be towed from my job. That was $350. The tires were old with a nail and 2 patches on the rear right and I've replaced 2. $360... Then my gearbox went out $3600.00 and had to wait 4 hours for a tow...bushings and alignment was 700 all new brakes and rotors almost 600 dollars. Now my right front tire is making a noise. None of this is apparently covered and I have missed work and had to borrow vechiles to get to and from work. I was told none of this is covered. I was also told the vechile needed to be kept an extra day to clean it up and make sure it was ready to go. Also my engine light is on. I've never in my life had to rebuild and fix a car I had just purchased. The manager told me that this isn't on them and theres nothing they can do. Disheartening to say the least. Update... I called this morning 2/19/26 several people didn't even know who Gene was and service was suppose to call me back. No call was ever returned to me. It took 3 employees to figure out who Gene was. Update day 2... no phone call or email back to me promised yesterday.

Awful car dealer, very dishonest they try selling me a car with a bad camshaft sensor and when I bought a different car that car had a rocking sound the very next day and say I have to pay 6k to get it fix

Consumer Alert! This dealership lies to your face. 1st. They charge $399 for "required security device" that are wheel locks you can buy at any local parts store for $20! This is a huge ripoff. 2ND $399 for a "dealership processing fee" that they say is REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF WISCONSIN AND IR THE WISCONSIN DOT. I called the Wisconsin DOT dealer line. It's 100% a lie. It's an optional fee set by the dealership. Wisconsin allows dealers to charge a fee that the dealership sets. You make the decision but these fees basically give the dealership nearly $1000 of pure profit. The Wisconsin Truth organization felt this should be exposed. These fees are #1. Fraud and #2 is a lie. Don't be a victim. Dealerships have a right to recover reasonable costs, and we view a dealership fee if $100 reasonable, but $399 or more is excessive in our opinion of good and fair business. Update... I have now been called a liar. If you read the disclaimer on the bottom of any car your interested in. It comes to $798.00 of useless and fake fees. It's corruption. There is no need to call the dealer as it's in black and white! Update 2! The dealership retracted the request for me to call them and removed the accusations of my lies! Truth Hurts! What a crooked dealership! Last I knew, this organization has 24 Midwest dealerships!

Excellent service! My mechanic, Jesus, performed a complete inspection and helped me with the repair of my car. He also checked the tires and part of the suspension. I want to thank him for his excellent service.

Terrible customer service. Went in for a faulty tire sensor had a appointment made a week in advance waited for over a hour while they had my car to tell me they didn't have the part. I would have to come back, had them call me when they had the part in stock made a appointment and came in waited another hour get told they used my part on another car but, they put a ome one in. The problem was this was a warranty repair so they wanted me to come back again and get it replaced with the correct one, why would you ever put the incorrect part into a customer's car???

Shout-out to Adam and Mark at this location specifically. My car broke down right before Christmas and Adam was able to give it a quick look over before right they closed. I wasn't able to replace the engine, as it was beyond my means, but Adam and Mark were so helpful in keeping an eye on the car for a few days while i found a way to trailer it to Milwaukee. I am grateful for their kindness, straightforwardness, and honesty about the shape of my car. There was no BS here, which i really appreciate. I probably won't get a chance to revisit this location, but if i had a Ford needing work in this area again I'd bring it back because i know it'd be in good hands with them.

Service department is excellent with the exception of some of their telephone answer people.

Portage CDJR has been incredibly helpful on multiple occasions. Their service center supported me multiple times with my ’22 Escape, and most recently when I decided to trade it in. Dale Meyer, our sales representative, guided us through the entire process with patience and professionalism. I was able to share my concerns, explore the vehicles I was interested in, and talk through my goals. Even during my less-than-perfect reverse parking—with plenty of goofy laughs and visible panic—Dale and the rest of the team stepped in to help. In just a few hours, we drove away in a brand-new Bronco. I couldn’t be more grateful to Dale and the entire Portage team for making the experience so smooth and enjoyable!

Contacted the dealership to buy a 2025 Ford F-250 Talked to Vance and negotiated a price we both agreed to for the vehicle. After reviewing the sales contract, the sales tax was figured incorrectly. Next they added a “Auto Armor fee that was not agreed upon. I negotiated to have it removed, they refused. I then stated I would still purchase the vehicle, and that I would be picking up later today. Vance he would have it cleaned and filled up with fuel. When I called twice to give the deposit, I was told Vance was busy and he would call me back, never did. Upon our way to purchase and pick up the vehicle, I called Receptionist who was going to take my deposit. After being put on hold, the phone transferred to voicemail. Shortly after I received a text from Vance saying the vehicle was no longer available. I called and spoke with the sales manager, who at first seemed confused about the deal, apologized, said they were busy, then had clarity and said the vehicle was no longer available. In my opinion very unethical on more way than one.

This place was a total rip off. I spent $550 on a clamp that cost $.50, they said they replace the clamp and not even a week later rattle began again, I initially went there to have a rattle vibration check at a higher speed of 70 on my F150 and they could not pinpoint it, in other words, they were incapable of finding a simple problem? I took it to the dealership for a reason because they’re supposed to be the highest ranked in their class and after all, there are a Ford dealership for my Ford F150 I had a warranty to cover the parts and labor, but After a week in the shop They still couldn’t find the problem or explain to my warranty company. What exactly needed to be replaced so in the end I had no vehicle for a week and I was out $550 for them looking at it but being incapable of finding what the real problem was I submitted several reviews to them per their request on the service is held there, and I never once received a response back, and they were basically the same as this Review, so what that tells me is they truly don’t care they’re basically laughing at it. I’m sure so I’m writing here on Google in hopes that somebody else reads this and doesn’t waste our money there because clearly they do not care.

Amber is the service department was wonderful to work with! I brought my F150 in to be diagnosed for some turbo/boost issues. They diagnosed the issue rather quickly and repaired it for a reasonable price!

Management was unprofessional. They lied about condition of car and was overpriced. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND...

Hands down the easiest purchase I have made. I told the manager what I wanted for a pre-owned vehicle, he didn't have one on the lot but searched for and bought one just for me. It was exactly what I had asked for. Paperwork was quick and easy. Thanks Portage Ford!

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2021 f150 diesel and they charged me $202 but wanted to charge me $277. I pay normally $155 for the same service at another ford dealer near my home. They told me it’s because of my “eco boost diesel”, which I had never heard my truck being called this before. I googled it and google says there is no such thing. I have a 3.0l power stroke diesel. Taking advantage of a women? Over charging? Do you know what you serviced?

Terrible customer service, Wouldn’t buy from them at all. Was told the truck I was interested in was available and I told them I was driving a hour away to come buy it, I get there and they tell me it was a order in and is sold. Everyone in that dealership has poor attitudes.

Had work done here on my Ford Escape about 2 years ago (so maybe things are different now, but there’s a reason I’m only writing this post now). There ended up being some miscommunication on the service center’s side about loaner cars. I was told they had a loaner car for me, and then once I had my vehicle towed there and I showed up to pick up the loaner car, I was told I wasn’t old enough (I was 23, their policy was I had to be 25). Mind you, they took all my personal info, including age, before promising me a loaner vehicle. This miscommunication left me stranded at the dealership until I could find another ride back home. They apologized for the miscommunication and said they would offer a “generous discount.” This “generous discount” was $40 on a $1200 bill. And now, less than 2 years after getting this work done (about 25k miles later) almost everything needs replacing again (brakes pads, rotors, battery). The brake pads alone should have more life given that it’s mostly been driven on the freeway.

Bought a truck from these guys. Got 10 miles down the road before I realized they never filled up the tank even half way. 32 miles to E, after the salesman said he would fill it up before leaving. Iv bought dozens of vehicles and never been sold a vehicle on empty. The fact that my emails or calls have not been replied to or followed up on is the real issue. Integrity is lacking at this place for sure. Go elsewhere

They worked with me and my maintenance plan ...they did oil change but never reset my car to show new oil and filter...now need to make another trip down there...grrrrr..and charged me for tire rotation that they didnt do..why is it so hard to find a dealership that just does their job completely and I dont have to make extra trips... Update as of 8-3-25 They contacted me and they they're supposed to be refunding the charge for the tire rotation..

Accidentally fell in love with a used car i came across on KBB. Happened to be at this dealership, 2 hours away from me. I didnt think id be able to get approved for financing, but I threw out an offer because what could it hurt? Vance got me super quick approval, the dealership is beautiful, the drive out was beautiful, we got to try some of his homemade spam jerkey (it was honestly amazing!), and I drove my dream car home!!! Vance was awesome and we had lots of laughs while we hung out and got through paperwork. We will 100% be recommending him & this dealership to everyone. We had an amazing experience and we are SO SO happy with our purchase!

It was a pleasure working with Mitch Craig on the purchase of our 2025 expedition tremor. We were able to get where we felt comfortable with our trade to make the sale.

Mitch and the whole team were great! I was greeted right away. Things were done in a professional yet comfortable, friendly manner. I found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere and process. They truly made the effort and did what it took to get me into what I both wanted and needed. The ONLY negative I had was that I was being rushed while switching my things over from my old car to my new car, even though I was being as fast as possible. It was blistering cold and I guarantee you I was not going to take any longer than needed. Overall though, I would highly recommend Mitch and Portage Ford to anyone needing a new or new to them vehicle. Thank you!

Melissa at the service department was excellent to work with. Repairs for my car were in excess of 31,000$ which totals the cost of the car itself. Which I bought from them… Portage ford gave me my car low on oil twice as well as missing bolts. They were rude and lied about the issues with the car and refused to take responsibility for the incompetence of their mechanics. They had my car since FEB 2nd with no drive to help. Their customer service was terrible as well as the quality of their work. I have been a ford customer my entire life and would never recommend them to anyone. I have issues with my car still and they refuse to return my calls. I have now tried to connect with them 3 times with no response. Sad to see such terrible customer service as well as pride in their work. Amazing a place like this is still in business.

I updated my 4.6L with hot rod cams, performance intake, and a 62 mm throttle body and cam / valve cover dress up . The tech did a wonderful job on the installation and took less than a day and at a great price!

Great dealership. All the sales and service staff are wonderful. I live in Madison and for me, it's worth the drive to Portage for an outstanding experience. I love my Ford Ranger.

Needed some service work done on my 2003 Lincoln limousine. Called Portage Ford. Talked to Mark Pietrzak and made an appointment to bring my car in. Brought my car in yesterday . Mark took the time to explain to me what my car needed and I'll be back to have them do the repairs.
