I have been in this store twice to pick up parts and have not been impressed with their customer service. It took the front desk quite awhile to even acknowledge I was there waiting to be helped, while the 2 men that went before me received prompt attention. Not store why they got the golden treatment and I was left without acknowledgement for at least 30min. I always feel a little out of place going into stores like this because people assume that as a woman, I don't know what I'm talking about. I noticed it was the manager who was assisting, and I asked for the part I needed but they said they didn't have it in stock. So I asked for a different part that I could use instead, you would have thought I asked him to go to another store for me and hand deliver it to me. The man said they probably didn't have that one either, so I asked if he could still check. He exhaled loudly, as if I was annoying him with my request, and went to check. I expected more professionalism from someone who was a "manager".
We come to this store, not because we have nothing else better to do with our time, but because we are in need of a service. As much as they (the staff) may not want to be there, it would be greatly appreciated if they would at least pretend that the customers aren't an inconvenience.
Called them at 4:57 pm and they close at 5, no answer. Just needed a relay and of course they never answer. Staff isn’t knowledgeable at all. Marcus is miserable ever since he’s been on the counter. And last but not least, you better call with a part number if you want the correct part!
Customer service is not a priority to these people at all. I called and spoke with a gentleman 2 times at 420p and asked if they could fix a hydraulic hose for me. He told me I would have to bring it in and they could most certainly make it for me of they had the correct fittings. I walked in the store at 4:40 with my hoses and fittings and the people up front told me that no one could make my hose, however the gentleman siting behind the computer could do it if he felt like it and he told me to have a good day. Broke down on the side of the street, wasted precious time to go to this store because I was told I could be helped. They bluntly refused me to my face. Go to Napa for any hoses you may need. Workers here suck and have no compassion and or know how to do their job.
Good to have a Big Truck parts store near, but needs to find a better location parking is tight, wall parts are limited but they may have it in the back, but when you see something that catches your eye you buy it (hint hint). Great guys at the counter, near I-664 and big truck dealer and all of Hampton Roads, I drive a Volvo and they have parts that keep me from driving from NN to Chesapeake for small parts.
I work at a local church about a mile away and every time I come here to shop for automotive needs and heavy duty cleaning supplies, this is the place to go to. Friendly service, decent prices on their products. Battery Price’s can’t be beat!
