I had seen my Fob battery was low per my car. I found out they replace key fobs batteries per a Google search. I went down there on a Sunday morning. They had what I needed and replaced it. It was probably alot cheaper than going to the dealership

Zoey (the installation technician) did a great job replacing the battery in my truck. It was much more complicated than I expected, but Zoey explained the process and was very professional.

Batteries plus has never let me down when it comes to my battery needs. I have found what I needed, whether it be car, truck, lawmower and latest, a battery for my generator. I dont go anywhere else.

I bought an auxiliary battery for my RV online. When I went to pick it up, the staff said they did not install RV batteries. When I explained it was just the auxiliary battery under the step, they gave the same answer, “we do not install RV batteries.” Disappointing customer service, although the staff was friendly enough.

The most recent visit turned out to be an awkward experience. I brought the battery drained garage door opener to make sure I buy the exact type of batteries. The store clerk had lightening memories in prices but the way she presented her skills got me a feeling of helplessness. She quoted me an installation price. I asked if she had some tool to pry open the garage opener cover, she said no. Of course she’s lying because she already quoted me the installation price. With a badge written as an assistant manager, I felt she was trying to demonstrate her authority in a wrong setting - she’s more like the type of person naturally prone to give orders than to serve in a service role. To further disappoint me, she said she didn’t know what type of batteries this garage door opener has if I insisted buying a battery instead of letting her installing a battery for me. So I began to suspect her capabilities. She stood there as if to guard all what she said. Then I asked if she could ask other store clerks if they know what type of batteries. Another store clerk happened to pass by so she got her to help. The other clerk asked me to hand over my garage opener and read the manufacturer’s label and checked on the computer. And within 30 seconds, she said out the type of battery that I should buy. I bought the battery and left. Is this an awkward moment? You tell me.

We went into the store on Broad Street yesterday (11.5) to address some issues we were having. We were greeted by Randi and she was kind and very knowledgeable. She addressed our different issues with expertise and care. Her demeanor was pleasant. She resolved all our issues in a timely fashion while also greeting other customers with courtesy.

Purchased a battery from this store 10/24 and the battery failed 10/25. The store would not honor the warranty. The car battery was below 5 volts yet the tech insisted it was good. The only offer was to charge the battery for me for 6 hours. I will not purchase anything there again and I will share this story with anyone I know in need of battery services.

I will echo similar sentiment stated below. If I could give less than one star I would. Customer service is abysmal at this location. I not only experienced less than poor customer service by just one employee, but 3, one of which was the so call manager. I was told via another employee that the manager would not come talk to me for 10 min because they were on break and even if they did, they couldn't help me. I'm sorry, but I had to take my lunch break to come take care of a customer issue. The other two employees I delt with were so unprofessional that, that both myself and the other customer in the store walked out. Do yourself a favor too, don't buy a car battery from here. I went in to get a car battery exchanged. A battery that I've owned less than one year and stays either on a trickle charger or I use the car's built in battery cut off switch (yes it has one) to ensure the battery doesn't get drained. There's no way this car had a "parasitic draw" as the less than knowledgeable employees consistently tried to explain to me. Its just a bad battery. However, as stated by several other people, Batteries Plus' warranty has so many loop holes for them to weasel out of that they won't honor the warranty. They state that because the battery can't read more than 6V they won't replace. I'm sorry, if a battery is bad, its not going to read that. Not my fault, yet in the eyes of Batteries Plus it is. Had a similar issue happen on another similar battery that I purchased at Advance Auto. Advance Auto replaced it, no hassle at all. Do yourself a favor, don't buy a car battery from Batteries Plus go to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, O'Reily's or any other store other than here.

This company is a complete joke when it comes to honoring their warranty. I brought them a battery that will not hold a charge, and instead of replacing it, they brushed me off and just recharged it. I told them multiple times the problem isn’t getting a charge, it’s that it won’t keep one. A week later, the battery is dead again. When I called, they basically told me too bad—as long as they can put a charge on it in the shop, they consider it “good.” Their so-called solution? Keep wasting my time by bringing it back over and over for another temporary charge. That is NOT honoring a warranty, that is refusing to stand behind their product. Terrible service, zero accountability, and a waste of money. I’ll never buy from them again, and I’d strongly recommend others stay far away.

They have so many great batteries to choose from as well as installation services that the staff is so busy you will have to wait 20 or 30 minutes to pick up an order

Bought battery online to pickup in store same day. I brought old battery to get core refund and 2 extra batteries to recycle. Clerk was SGRIFFIN2 I gave him old one and showed my order recept I said, can you refund core charge for this? Yeah no problem I'll take the other 2 from you too. He said I ask, is this battery already filled up? Yes he said. So I expected to see a $10 refund show up in my bank account but it never did. I went to plug the new battery into charger and it had no electrolyte fluid in it! So I paid $10 extra, gave them my 3 battery cores and they gave me a unusable battery. I went to Mechanicsville for the refund. PHARMON was a nice guy and couldn't believe W Broad gave me a dry battery. He was very apologetic and gave me a refund for battery and core My next battery will be purchased from a motorcycle shop, local or online

Staff was courteous and prompt w online order . I ordered wrong terminal type and technician switched out with no problem. First time using Battery+ and was pleasantly surprised. Old reviews complained about the customer service, but they were very helpful and nice

Bought alot of batteries from them, probably will go back to Walmart/auto parts stores. Guy behind the counter was cool, manager not so much. Returned a battery that was bought few months ago that failed to start my generator when needed during the snow storm. I checked it with 2 different chargers and it failed to work. It tested 7 to 8 amps when I got there and after explaining everything to the manager, He tells me they have to have it for up to 5 or 6 hours to confirm its bad. I don't live near the store and the battery is for back up power. Should have been an easy return like I've had at Walmart/autoparts store with similar products. They lost my business over forty some bucks. I owned a business for over 30 years, gotta take care of your customers needs!

Great location with everything you need for batteries, bulbs and more. Car batteries, key remote batteries and all other types of bulbs and items for home or office. Steve took great care of us for getting batteries for medical beds we neeed and helped us find the correct models and load us up. Great service, staff and prices! We will be back - thank you!!

Always have good service at this location. They always have what I need today. In particular I needed a car battery and Trevor did an amazing job installation went quickly And was very pleased with Trevor's knowledge I also had a good experience the day before on the phone with Randi I hope you continue to keep them at this location

5 years ago, I bought the same battery I just replaced today in my John Deere zero turn. Excellent life and quality! Heavy duty U1L battery with 350 cold cranking amps. Update 11/6/24: I bought another U1L 350 cca battery to replace my previous Duracell, which lasted 5 years and 2 months. Great service!

I took my car to the Broad Street location to get a key fod. It did not work the program knocked everything out and my car won't start. I got in touched with the corporate office on Monday and by Tuesday I had my car back. The company towed my car to the dealer all issues were taken care of and bill paid. Thanks Robbie and the members of the corporate escalation team. Good business and excellent business ethics.

Batteries Plus is awesome. I have an unusual battery for a 1990 Mazda Miata. It's about 1 yr old. I was expecting a "prorated" battery process. To my SUPRISE, I left with a brand new battery!! I was most impressed at the efficient service from the female staff person! Great folks and super experience!! Thanks Battery Plus!

I went to the store to try to replace a rechargeable battery for my very old ophthalmoscope. Austin waited on me and was very nice and friendly. Even though Batteries Plus did not carry this battery, Austin took the time to look up phone numbers for medical supply places in Richmond that would carry the battery. Excellent Customer Service!

After replacing my mother’s key fob battery for her car with a bad battery Steven was very rude and even accused her of lying and saying they never sold her that battery. He said she was being dishonest. When this is the only location that she ever goes for her batteries. Needless to say we won’t be back here for this type of poor customer service. Perhaps if he was on the floor more than he is in the back room he could remember a face from a couple weeks prior.

Joe was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He walked me through creating a business account and helped me find the exact thing I needed from the inventory. I am very impressed with the customer service and follow up with the business account. We will absolutely be going to this location for all our battery needs.

Batteries Plus Bulbs #199 is by far the best store with the best customer service in the U.S.A. I have had horrible customer service from the Batteries Plus location (Kennesaw, GA). I would recommend anyone seeking qualified professional salespeople with impeccable customer service skills to visit Batteries Plus Bulbs #199. I have been visiting this store for years and every time I feel appreciated and welcome by the entire team. I currently live in GA. When my batteries stop working, I wait until I visit VA to take my watches to this store to get my watch batteries replace with their life-time battery policy. And I have about 7 watches listed in their system for life-time battery replacement. It doesn't matter for me; I will drive hours to get my watches service at this location. Not only is their customer service great but the way they take care of your merchandise is commendable. They treat my watches as if it was their own. If I were starting a business, I would hire this incredible staff. They are the blueprint of what customer service is all about. I would like to thank FHAIR and the entire team for all they do. Your store and your team are by fair "best in class" in customer service, customer appreciation, kindness, and respect. Thanks for all you do and thanks for making me feel appreciated. I purchased a brand new $400 mobile phone that was unlocked at Best buy. When I purchased it it was past 5:00 which is when all the mobile phone people go home, but since I wasn't purchasing a phone plan, a regular associate was able to assist me. I purchased the phone got home and was having trouble Getting the SIM card in SD card out of the old phone, and I didn't want to break it.. I also was waiting for a new phone case since they didn't have it in store. When the phone case finally showed up, it didn't fit and I lost the instructions on how to set the phone up. I went to Best buy during the hours that the phone people were there, only be told that I needed to make an appointment. Was told by the associate who was scheduling the so-called appointment, that no one was really going to want to do it because they were going to have to, then he started using a bunch of jargon. I walked out thinking okay so you can't make commission off me even though I was a paying customer 4 weeks ago. I was driving down broad Street and thought to myself, hey maybe batteries Plus has a case for it. I walked in and as usual the associates are always friendly and very welcoming. I asked if they had a case and he said unfortunately not in store. Ask him if he would be able to assist me and getting my SIM card out of my old phone as well as my SD card, and put it into the new one. He had no problems whatsoever took all of one minute. He handed me the phone I didn't purchase a thing, and I was able to set the phone up myself. It was quite easy. I didn't have to communicate with all that quote on quote jargon stuff that Guy told me about at Best buy.. this is the second time that I've gone to batteries Plus for an issue with my mobile phone, and they were completely happy to assist me even though they didn't make a sale. These guys are awesome! This is what customer service is even if that person is in a buying customer. It makes you go back to that store just because of the service you received. Outstanding! Best buy associates definitely could learn something from these guys. Thanks so much guys

There were a lot of people in the store but the ladies were so kind and quick with their services that it wasn't much of a wait at all. I was nervous because I did not know much about getting my battery changed but Miss. Katie Mae was amazing and made me feel a lot better about the whole process. She explained everything she was doing, taught me a lot about cars, and was very efficient. I felt very comfortable going to this store. If you are nervous about coming for a battery for car or phone do not worry, they are very nice and accommodating.

Horrible, worst customer service ever; they do not stand behind their products. If you get a bad cell battery from them, they will deny it and give you the runaround. They claim to be battery experts, but they’re simply experts in wasting your time. If you have any doubt and want to be entertained just spend a half hour in their store and you will see a parade of dissatisfied customers. When I asked for the name of the manager, the person in charge and two other employees,did not know the name of the manager! They could care less. Do not buy anything from them unless you enjoy incompetence and a company that encourages it.
