Fast, same day service. Fixed what I needed fixed, gave recommendations for additional repairs/services, but very low pressure. When it's time to get those done, I'll be back!

I have a 2010 Camry. An old car. I am NOT in a place to spend $2000 on repairs but got quoted $1690 (that’s WITH the 15% Costco discount) for wheel alignment and front control arm bushings being “torn from old age” and needing replacement. Wild quote considering I just got those replaced 3 months ago. Decided to get it VA inspected at a different spot and they took a look at the front control arms and bushings. This other place said they look completely fine and affirmed they were already replaced. The only thing they got right was the brakes still having life…. But on the phone they suggested they would measure how much was left and did not measure an exact amount.

Ben Nielsen’s Auto & Fleet came through! Oil change was fast, professional, and stress-free. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and treated me with respect from start to finish. No long wait, no runaround—just solid service. This is definitely my new go-to spot. I’ll 100% be back!

Our staff had a very bad experience here. We called to arrange that we would bring two pickup trucks with trailers that all needed state inspection. We were told to just show up and they would take care of us. The next day, a very rude staffer told us his parking lot was too small for our trucks and to find somewhere else. This was an expensive problem for us, as our trucks and men were tied up for most of the day, finding an alternative. On the same day we were also referred by a nearby tire shop to have a third truck get a front end alignment. This ordeal took 5 hours. This shop is a waste of our time and is very unprofessional. Steer clear if you value time and value.

Great job! Strongly recommend! Needed brake system and front end repairs on my Sprinter Van. Very efficient and effective. Made all the right adjustments and repairs—very affordable.

I found Ben Nielsen's Springfield Auto Care and Fleet through the Costco auto referral program since they offer a discount. They had good reviews so I figured I'd give them a try. Brett answered my calls and a lot of questions as well. He is fantastic. I appreciated his patience and detailed information. He was also willing to try to match the price from another repair shop when I came to him for a second opinion with documentation. I just bought and had 4 new tires installed at Costco and knew I needed an alignment. I also knew I needed at least rear brakes and soon front brakes. Another shop told me I had a leak in my front right differential. Brett had his team checked everything out. They performed an alignment, and it was time for new brakes on the front and rear. I approved the brake work and they took care of it. They told me they didn't see a leak and that a replacement wasn't needed. Everything was performed in one work day and I picked it up right when they closed at 6pm. I made an appointment online a day or two before after speaking with Brett and showed up on a weekday morning. The other auto repair shop I've used in the past doesn't offer any transportation assistance and is always booked up for at least a week for any work. I loved that Brett was able to fit me in and they had plenty of availability on their website scheduling. Although their labor rates are higher than the other place I usually go to. When I arrived at 9:30am for my appt, Dion was at the front desk and got me checked in. I wasn't sure I was in the right place, but indeed I was as it's in an industrial area and a plain entrance glass door that says Service Entrance. After asking Brett at the end of the day, he shared that their business is typically 80% fleet work and the remaining 20% personal vehicles like mine. I love that they offered me a Lyft concierge. For no extra charge, they requested a Lyft which took me to work that day. When the work was complete, they sent a Lyft to pick me up and bring me back. It was so seamless and really convenient. They did not offer me a loaner car, which is an option advertised on their site, but that's fine. I am curious about the Lyft concierge, as they request it and then it links to my account through my phone number. At the end of each ride, I could rate the driver with stars but I could not tip them. When I asked the driver, they said that for concierge rides they usually don't get tips from the business that called them. I do wonder if they pay a higher rate though given the concierge service. Not sure. I'm also grateful for the Lyft concierge service as I don't recommend waiting onsite for work. It's not a very warm or inviting space to spend time in and there's nothing I could see nearby to walk to. There is a bearded dragon you can check out if you like those little creatures. All in all - I recommend Ben Nielsen's Springfield Auto Care and Fleet. I'd certainly return and appreciate the care that Brett and the team provided.

Found this place through the Costco Auto Program and went in after getting a 15% discount coupon. I understand pricing is up to each shop, and I respect that — but after seeing the estimate post-inspection, all I could do was shake my head. We live in a time where information is everywhere. People compare prices. No one just blindly agrees to estimates anymore. So I genuinely don’t understand how a quote this inflated was presented with a straight face. I won’t get into all the details, but the estimate was nearly 2.5x higher than other shops — and yes, even more expensive than the dealership. To put it simply: a service they quoted at around $1,100 was done elsewhere for $430. Overall, a pretty unsettling experience. It also made me realize that a “Costco-affiliated” label doesn’t automatically mean fair or trustworthy pricing. Definitely do your homework and get multiple quotes.

This is the only place I will take my truck. I highly recommend this location for not only good service but they are quick with getting parts you may need and I appreciate the updates they give. The staff are really helpful (thank you Christian)

We were in town visiting Family. The day prior to coming home, the engine light came on. My Brother called Neilson's and spoke to "D"; the guy with the splint on his finger. He got me in @1030, and completed the necessary repairs by 1800. Thank you so much for your service.

The kindest mechanic ever. Five stars aren’t enough — I want to give him 100! Even after closing time, he stayed late to help us travelers and fixed our car. You should definitely visit this place.

The team at Springfield Auto Care worked dogedly to find an issue after a break replacement/upgrade on my Transit van. Recommended by Alban Tire across the street, I now have 2 new places to trust with my vehicles!

Nice shop and found them via Costco Auto Program but new guy here seems very sloppy and bad with details - somehow managed to get my name wrong, phone # wrong, and email wrong as well. Not sure what's going on with him. Not a good reflection of this business as it's been very annoying that he keeps getting every single detail wrong. If they can't even get basic info right I can't trust them with working on my car.

I walked in without an appointment last minute and in a bind to get my box truck inspected. Thorough and helpful. My box truck inspection done in one day. Very happy with the service.

Took my car to Alban tires across the road , and this shop picke up my car from there based on Alban tire recommendation for flushing and filling the coolant system fluid. They supposedly fixed it and charged me expensively. But I couldn’t even make it home. The fluid emptied completely in the highway. And it costs me another $1500 in another mechanic shop to fix it. It was a simple changing the coolant fluid. I don’t think any one should take their car to Alban tire and this mechanic shop across the street.

Excellent service. They are very friendly. The lady who attends is very friendly, and the workers will definitely return in the future. Also, I understand that when they are busy, it can take longer time, but it is part of the work and also of good service.

I can’t say enough good things about Ben Nielsen’s Auto Care & Fleet. My trailer broke down while I was en route to Florida, and the entire team was incredibly kind and understanding of my situation. Their diagnostic was spot-on, and they were completely transparent about what needed to be done. Everyone I interacted with—techs, front desk, and management—was courteous, patient, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to find a shop that treats you like a person and not just another ticket. Highly recommend!

I have a 2015 Honda Odyssey with 107,000 miles. Recently I've had 2 alignments done on my mini van from the same shop I use in Springfield. Normally they do very good work but not with alignments. Both times in a manner of a week or two both alignments came out of adjustments. This also caused premature outer tire ware. I went to Alban tire to buy 4 new tires. Alban employee (Dave) highly recommended your company. After your alignment, I couldn't believe the difference in how awesome my mini van now tracks, straight as an arrow. Even the steering wheel feels tighter. I was told you have a guru alignment specialist. WoW, he is by far the best I have ever experienced. This alignment is also the BEST I've ever had and I'm 76 years old, so I've had a lot of alignments during my years. I won't be going to any other company. You're the best. A+ Customer and Technical Service (Springfield location). Front desk staff were courtesy and got my truck right in for an unscheduled alignment and multi-point inspection. The mechanics were fast and accurate with the needed services to ensure my truck was road worth. My Chevy 3500 HD Dually is used for towing on long trips, so I need a piece of mind knowing my truck will be reliable. They didn’t try to up-sell me a bunch of services I didn’t need but they did point out somethings that needed to be addressed, which was greatly appreciated. It’s hard to find knowledgeable and honest shops that service diesel trucks in the area. They earned a repeat customer. I definitely recommend.

I found B.N.Springfield Auto by luck. They were willing to install adjustable struts/shocks for me, and Geo, my installer...answered all my questions and all work was completed on time, on budget. Great! * I needed a suspension adjustment as discussed with the tech during initial installation. I am pleased to say that the tech adjusted it perfectly as requested. He knows how a sport suspension works. He installed it, communicated, I had many questions, all were answered. A trust relationship has been built with the front office too. I am glad I trusted this shop. Dave, Brett, and Geo are great. 3rd visit : took it in for oil change. Found thst my rear brakes were shot, which were ot shot 4 weeks ago. 😳 Even though, I know Geo tells the truth so Brett (service writer) and I, knowing I spent $2000 on a new suspension a month ago worked out only $500 for rear brakes was a wise and great quote for rear brembo brakes. As soon as the brakes arrive I wil check the make and model and Google them. If they aren't Brembo or GM spec pads I will pass and get Brembo. This is normal for a Camaro SS owner. I want the best parts I can afford. I know that they hsve the best....and want the best for my my car. ☆☆☆☆☆ 4th visit: 1 axle brembo brake pads. pass side found melted. Repair- $560.00 per axle. So I had the rear pads replaced with GM stock pads. They were 7 years old so....that's fine but I was already told it was going to pass inspection after he had taken the wheels off then 2 weeks later my pads are melted? Possibly new suspension isn't set up with braking? I will call Brembo and see if there is a way of pairing them Repair feels great and was done correctly. Geo (my tech) did great 👍 Fantastic! Update March. All the work was done. The pad for my Brembo brakes apparently was not repaired on the pass rear wheel. I listened to my tech. Then I was quoted $800 to fix brakes thst I already paid $550 to FIX CORRECTLY. I don't need new pads; not new "pad and 1 rotor"....I have paid $3000 for shocks and struts, I paid for other things w/o complaint. But $800 to fix disc brakes that I already had fixed was the straw thst broke the camels back. I have Brembo brand rear rotor. $50 each new. Not $250. Brembo brand Pads were $169. I am going to remove the racing suspension and the dealer will install the Bilstein B-14 (now back in stock) for a lot less. I really like Geo. I like everybody there. But I will not be fleeced by work you should have told me up front. Nope, uh uh. No $8rear brakes. I got them fixed for $220. I will return to Ben Neilsons. They saw how I was after my mom died and gave me a ride home, and brought me my car!! I was floored that they were so nice. But $800 to fix a problem that A. $550 for 2 axles and only 1 rotor was needed. B. My parts were accepted C. $200 to fix it. "Tech should have sanded down the brake pads. It's like you were set up to pay more" That made my blood run cold. I trusted and I don't know if I was taken care of, but I have a broken sunroof I was going to bring them...now it's going to the dealer who will also drive me home. It just needs a latch. $77. I am here to be honest. Springfield Auto has been good to me. But $800 to fix a job they shouldn't have had to fix since there was nothing wrong with them 2 weeks prior. Sorry. But I feel like SUCKER is stamped on my head. It makes me sad. I like the place. But I don't have fix it twice money.

I cannot say enough good things about this spot! It was so easy for me to book my appointment online ( they were running a special) $229 tire rotation, oil change, air filter, more. I made my appointment at 9 am. I was greeted by welcoming faces. I told them I needed my car back by 3pm. Brett said no problem, I will be in touch with you- it might be 2pm. By 11am I had pics of my car via text! Everything that had been done. No extra push of you need this you need that. I took it in for what it needed and it got done in a timely matter. I will definitely be using this place in the future! Thank you!

I took an old truck in for an oil change, which they performed perfectly. Along the way, the observed some pretty significant issued with the truck. They called me and identified the issues, sent me documentation and lots of photos. I was really impressed. This would be a very expensive repair on an old truck - which they are almost certainly not going to do - but yet they were really helpful - and in a follow-up call - in helping to identify and document the issues. Very professional, really friendly and courteous.

My son and I were on a long trip from MD to SC. The alternator went out in Springfield. I googled and found this mechanic. I was so lucky to find such a professional crew and they helped me out big time. I had a 7 hour drive in front of me and they quickly fit me in and got the parts. I was out some hours later and had minimal disruption to my trip. I highly recommend them, they know their stuff and are a trustworthy business. I appreciate all you guys did to get me and my son to his baseball tournament on time. Fitting us in as an emergency was incredibly appreciated!
