Thank you to Jacob at the Pickens, SC for going above and beyond to help us senior citizens!!!! Appreciate his knowledge and his assistance!!!! He seemed to be the only knowledgeable employee working so we were incredibly lucky that he was the one that helped us!!! Thank you Jacob!!!!!

Usually it's a fast easy experience. But my last visit, the employee had no clue what she was doing and had an attitude..yeah, no thanks.

Bought car batteries from here the past 6 months. Thank god for their warranties. Took one home, it was dead on arrival. Nothing against the workers, but where is the quality of the products?

Roughly half the time the part I need is in stock, other wise need to order it. Most of the staff is familiar with mechanical parts or products, I have been multiple times and a couple employees, really just didn't know what I was talking about. Most the time we finally figured it out. Overall It is my preferred go to store.

I feel like there's never anyone here to help. But the staff is very kind. Can find cheaper stuff elsewhere but helpful to have this place as another option

Overpriced. Needed some o rings, 15.33 at autozone 25.99 at advance, same product and manufacturer. I don't want to play the price match game, I want confidence going there that I'll be getting the best price possible and I don't have that at Advance.

I have to say the Two gentleman that helped me tonight just made my whole day . I took my battery to be charged and when I was leaving he said let me check it for you . It was dead and almost immediately he said that warranty was still good and that he could swap it for me a brand new one . You just don’t know how happy I was . They could have just sent me on my way with this battery but by doing their job they touched my heart and helped me . ??

And a world full of chaos. It is nice to know that I can go somewhere where The people actually care about my needs. I go to advance auto For all my repair parts needs and the Pickens store has never let down. The management and the staff are extremely friendly and all was willing to do whatever It's necessary to get the right part and a timely matter I have stood at a distance when the store was really busy and watched 1st hand how the employees and management would work hand-in-hand with the customer to make sure they're satisfied , sometimes they may take just a minute or 2 sometimes. They may work with a customer for half an hour. But they make sure that the job is done Right ,When I'm shopping for parts. It's not always about a good part or a bad part but it's about the service that you get with the part because they'll always make it right. That's why I shop at advanced auto and Pickens.

This review is only for the so called "manager". Not their products or prices. I've been coming to this location for all my needs for going on 8 years. Up to 2 weeks ago I've had almost zero issues other than the not so helpful employee on occasion. Never rude, just lacking customer service skills. After my interaction with their manager I see where they get those skills. If you don't want the full story you're read ends here... I purchased a battery for my car. Picked it up since I couldn't drive the car there(yah know, dead battery and all). Dropped off the core and picked up the new one. It seemed different but I didn't think anything of it since Advance said it WAS for my car. I get home and guess what? Nope. It was to small. The battery hold down didn't touch the battery at all. Unfortunately I had to install it the best I could as I have a job to go to. Fast-forward to 2 weeks ago. I attempted to return it for the correct battery. I was refused because it had already been installed. So, I'd get this if I just randomly picked a battery. I didn't, I went off what THEIR system said was correct. They're selling the product. It's not my responsibility after the purchase to make sure it's the correct one. I'm not a automotive battery specialist. The "manager" I talked to wasn't the least bit helpful or professional. She kept blaming me for the problem. She didn't even understand what I was talking about nor does she know what she's talking about. I told her the battery dimensions are to small. She kept thinking I was talking about the voltage, CCA, etc. She kept going on about how a Group 26R battery is one in the same. Incorrect, there's multiple variations of the 26R. If you're going to argue with a customer at least know what you're talking about. She would have argued all day had I not just left. Absolutely ridiculous imo. I'll continue to use Advance but not this location as long as she's around. At the end of it all I called customer service. I was EASILY granted a full refund. All I had to do was drop off the battery and give them a reference number. That tells me even more that it was her refusing and not Advance Auto. I went to another location(Mauldin) to return the battery. Guess what? That manager went out of her way and not only found the correct battery but gave me a discount as well. I walked out with a better battery(gold instead of silver) for $2 less. That's customer service! I've gone from a 1 star to a 2 star since the district manager called me. She seemed sincerely apologetic. Whether anything will come of this is up to her obviously. At least she called...

I came in to buy windshield wipers. Was greeted immediately. I was offered help in choosing the right wipers for my car. They never did offer to install them. Weather was clear but rain was expected. The rain caught me on my way home later that day. It's all about customer service. Business was slow at this store that morning. I'm a disabled female. They should have offered to install these for me. A customer should not have to ask for that.

There was a young lady who waited on me and tightened my battery post, she was amazing and knew her stuff. As long as she's working there I highly recommend it. I wish I could remember her name.

The price for what I needed was $30. Higher than Auto Zone. Also, no one really act like they cared if they helped or not. Useless trip, waist of time. I felt really ignored.

Went to Advance Auto in Pickens during Labor Day weekend to have my lawnmower battery checked. It was bad so I had to buy a new one. I got online to look for discounts. Found one for 20% off, but it was for internet only. Sure, I could have gone outside and wasted my time and save some money. They would not accept it. On 6/14 my mower wouldn't start. I took the battery back to Advance and the new battery was bad. They asked for my phone number to look for my original purchase. Couldn't find it so was told I had to have a receipt. Drove to my office and found the receipt and returned for the exchange. I told the staff how aggravating it was to do business with them. The clerk didn't imput my phone number so I couldn't find the purchase. I don't know how many people could just put their finger on an old receipt. Fricking aggravating place and staff.

Well it would be a 5, but I needed clamp for, overflow hose on the radiator of my car! They didn't have the one I wanted. The gentleman called me back within a minute and told me they did have alternate part, and it, unfortunately was a package of 10 clamps for $9.99, I only needed 2 ! To their credit, the guys at the Pickens Advance Auto, tried to help me out! That says a lot about the service, and they are very knowledgeable and respectful! There would not have been a review had it not been for the return phone call!! I felt I had to pass this on to the public. Until the next review, happy motoring and Stay Safe

The lady who helped me was incredible. It was an amazing experience walking into a auto supply store as a woman and seeing women working there. I felt more at ease and comfortable to ask questions. Thank you for such a great experience.

My mechanic was given money to order a motor through the commercial side of Advanced Auto in Pickens. He ordered it through a guy named Jason in April. The mechanic FINALLY received the motor after SEVERAL weeks. The mechanic installed the motor and I picked it up. Within an hour it was obvious something was wrong. Found out the motor Jason, from Advanced ordered, was a bad motor. Now, I still don't have my car and he is telling the mechanic to take a pic of the heating tab, which he did. Now he wants to send the motor back before sending another one. Now, I was told Jason did not go to the supplier he normally goes through resulting in this bad motor, THAT I HAVE PAID FOR!!! SO0, I need someone to contact me. My mechanic has doing what he can and it is August and still no car, but he has my money. The store in Pickens won't give me any info because I didn't pay them... .BUT THE MECHANIC PAID YOU WITH ALLLL MY MONEY!! So your response was to contact you to chat. There must be another number because I have contacted the store and gone by there.....no help but they were RUDE. So how should I contact you?

Parts are junk I have had multiple parts from there that fails in no time. Instead of refunding the money they just want to exchange for another sorry part. Not to mention customer service sucks. Employees don't know what they are doing can't even get what customers ask for. Save your time and money and go anywhere else that sells automotive parts. I wish I could have given them no stars I will definitely not be going back to this store.

Had a great experience here Saturday during lunch while it was super busy. Christie was working and handled the line quickly and made it enjoyable. She was great! I always have both a helpful and pleasant experience here.

Ordered part was to be at store at 0730 am went to get part at 1100am was told it's not going to be here till 0230 pm wasted 1 hr. Of my time because they made a mistake however they did order the right part that is why they received 1 star.

I actually use to work here & the customer service is great. They will try to help you the best way they can. Keep in mind they're not mechanics but are still pretty knowledgeable. They offer free diagnostic scans if you have an engine light on. Free battery testing. They change windshield wipers and batteries. Good place to buy parts.

Four Associates standing behind the counter including the manager on this day. Not once did either of them ask if my 8 yr old g-son or I needed help finding anything. I'm sure by the length of time we were there and the puzzled look on our faces it was obvious that we did. I handed the cashier a card that has the item number and cost on it to ring up. She looks back at me and said 'what's this'? Very unprofessional! Just plain rude!
