Rick and his. crew recently replaced the engine in my 89 S10 blazer due to faulty service by another repair shop. Rick was very gratefull and understanding in helping me overcome this unfortunate situation. He and his mechanics bent over backwards to make my Ole Blazer road worthy once again. Brought my 2021 Explorer ST in to Auto Performance Repair and Customs with all the parts I wanted installed, and they absolutely nailed it. No issues with me bringing my own gear—they treated the build with the same care and attention like it was their own. Super chill team, but professional and clearly experienced. Everything was installed cleanly, no corners cut, and they kept me in the loop the whole time. You can tell they actually care about doing things right. Car feels and sounds amazing now. If you’re into performance mods or custom work and already have your parts ready, this is the place. Definitely coming back for future upgrades.

Rick and his team give courteous, quality service for the price quoted . If you can find a better service/repair group, go there. For me, I'm going back to Auto Performance Repair. Check them out , good customer service.

I am over the top with my degree of satisfaction regarding my experience with AP. Rick (the owner) is straightforward and is personable and is a good communicator. But! Above all of those attributes he is a master mechanic and directly manages each and every job/project that is being addressed at the shop. I really appreciate this oversight but this is not to present some notion that his mechanics need any assistance. His team of guys are top notch. Very high degree of competence with the mechanics that are doing the hands on actual work. I'm seriously impressed. I felt that the intent on my daily driver was the same intent that I would have put into my car if I was doing the work myself. Much respect to the whole operation. My air went out and the dealership quoted me a price with a 2 yr warranty on parts. Rick gave me lifetime warranty on parts, as long as I own the vehicle, and the price was much lower. Great experience and honesty with this place. Will definitely bring my vehicles to him again.

I brought my car to Auto Performance based on Google reviews. I had a bad experience at a local dealership and was looking for a shop that would tell it to me straight, do good work and charge an honest price. Auto Performance checks all three boxes. I needed a routine checkup and Rick, the manager, took the time to talk me through their diagnostic process. He showed me on the computer what they checked for and when I did need something serviced, he gave me various options would thorough explanations on detail and pricing. You can tell they take great pride in their work and genuinely enjoy what they do—at no point did I feel upsold or in the weeds or like I was a nuisance. The repairs were wonderful and now I have a shop I can trust, which is no small thing. Highly recommended. *EDIT*: I posted the above review six years ago, and have continued taking my cars to Rick. He delivers great service while taking into account my budget and needs.

Rick was able to get my car into service at a moments notice and helped to find the cheapest parts available for my car. He kept me up to date on my repair and gave me honest answers to questions that I had about the repair. Would highly recommend this shop and will be taking my car back here if necessary while in the Greenville, SC area.

Auto Performance was a life saver for me! My check engine light came on and I needed my car repaired quickly because I had no other way to work the next day. I took my car to Auto Performance and they had me up and running right away. They got the parts super fast and Josh had me back on the road in less than an hour. Rick, the manager, explained the bill to me and everything they did and why. He also saved me from future engine problems. I challenge anyone to find a shop that compares to the service or prices of Auto Performance. They are top notch and I will be bringing my car to them whenever I have any car repairs or maintenance. My car is running great! And no more scary lights are on! lol

Last October I was having some air intake issues on my Toyota and decided to take it to Auto Performance. I'm so glad I did. Rick and his team are the best. They did a great job in the diagnostic process of finding the issues. I've been taking my vehicle to Rick's shop since then for any minor or major problems that have come up. My opinion is: this is the best shop in the upstate for any repair or custom work needed. Finding a mechanic that you can trust that is reliable and honest is definitely not easy these days. Had emergency issue traveling thru SC with electrical system in Jeep. Rick and his shop came recommended to me by nearby Jeep dealership. Was clear to me at the outset that Rick genuinely cared about helping me asap, and was able to correctly diagnose and fix problem. He has earned my trust! Excellent service, and a great guy…highly recommend.

Rick Hagan and his crew are definitely the best mechanic shop in the upstate. He worked with my warranty company on several occasions, even though they gave us both the run around. He fixed all the damaged worked the shade tree mechanics at 183 did to my truck. Rick kept me up to date every step of the way. I will never take any of my vehicles to another shop as long as he is in business. Rick Hagan has restored my faith in mechanics for sure.

Rick has always been a great help when it comes to any and all car repairs I've needed. He is honest, realistic, and willing go help you out in a pinch. Just this week, I had a bad brake job done at another shop, and Rick was able to get my car in the shop and diagnosing it the next day. He is even taking time out of his day on Christmas Eve, to try and get me back on the road so I can see my in-laws in time for Christmas. Wonderful service, honest work, and fair pricing. Rick values his customers and will do what he can to get you back on the road ASAP.

We brought several of our vehicles, both personal and company, to Auto Performance during the 2017/2018 timeframe. Everything was stellar for a while. Rick and his team were professional, punctual, and very accommodating. We started to notice small issues, and Rick's response was that of understanding, and he encouraged us to bring the vehicles back and he would make sure they are addressed properly. One personal vehicle became quite an issue, and I eventually had to work an agreement out to cut the project short due to workmanship/timing concerns. I later found out that there was a short-term issue with an employee, and Rick had to rectify this with several customers at his own expense during that short time period. I did not know the extent of the issues on my own vehicle until I decided to do a full teardown and restoration in my garage, at which point we uncovered a major, costly problem. I was hesitant to bring it up to Rick, given the length of time between when it was at his shop and the time we discovered the root issues. But, Rick had always been very professional, and having spent a good bit of time in the shop, I had seen he and his other employees work with many customers in a very responsible manner. I called Rick, explained what had happened, he gave me details on what happened on his end, and offered to help with the situation, which he certainly has. Rick and Auto Performance have an extremely high rating on every review website they are on. Even the best shop is going to have an issue now and then, and when they do it becomes a matter of how you address them. It's rare that companies have that level of integrity in this day and age.

We have used Auto Performance Repair and Customs a couple of different times. I cannot say enough about Rick Hagan and his team about the great job they do. You will not find a more honest owner and manager as Rick. He works hard with extended warranty and insurance companies to ensure that customers are getting the best parts at the most reasonable cost. Rick will often try to bundle different repairs/services to get the customer the most bang for the buck. I have to say I appreciate Rick and his team for ensuring needed repairs are completed. An example is we just brought our van in for a noise. It was determined the A/C compressor was bad. While repairing this, it was discovered the water pump was going bad. Rick's team did a great job with the repairs. However, while they were test driving the van after these repairs, another noise was heard. Rick had his team locate the source of the noise. Turns out it was a flex plate or flywheel with multiple hairline cracks. Had Rick not taken the extra time to locate the source of the noise and replaced the flex plate, we could of had major damage to the engine and transmission. I will not consider using any other shop for vehicle repairs. I highly recommend Auto Performance Repair and Customs to anybody looking for repairs where they can count on honesty and straight forward repair assessments.

I found a screw in my tire and I was driving down the road and saw that the shop was open. I walked in and spoke with the owner and he had me repaired and on the road under 10 minutes. They do custom car work as well as whatever it is you may need fixed. Very friendly shop with excellent service.

Rick did a great job of finding me the best price for my parts and getting my car serviced quickly. He and his team are very courteous and happy to assist with anything they can. I felt very comfortable letting them work on my car and I am very happy with their work. Would highly recommend.
