Edit: it’s been almost the 45 days and we still have not received our plates or anything. When we bought the car Ben told us we would get everything in the mail in 1-2 weeks. We have been trying to contact him to get the plates but he either won’t answer or says he will look into it and get back to us but never does. We paid for the car in full and thought everything was good, and that’s why I gave a good review at first. This is very unprofessional to not submit the paperwork and then avoid our calls. My husband and I got a car from here last week and it was a great experience. We test drove a few cars and picked the best one suited for us, Ben made our car buying experience easier than we thought it would be. The prices of the cars are a lot better than most dealerships. Def recommend buying from Ben, he’s a nice guy and very honest and helpful. Thank you for everything Ben and it was nice meeting you. Crystal & Justin

Made buying a car pretty easy. Very upfront about car issues and nice selection of cars for less than $5k. My VW was under 100,000 miles when purchased, and low priced for a good car. And will work with you on payments if needed. He was definitely a blessing to me!! And anyone I come across in need of a good cheap car I’d definitely send his way!!

It is truly a pleasure doing business with Ben. Don't expect anything fancy from his lot or office, but do expect to be treated like a person and not like a sales opportunity. I don't know him well enough to say for sure, but I'd guess that he enjoys simply working with people more than he does trying to "make the sale". Ben has a great characteristic that many sales people lack - he listens. And he truly does want to help you find what you need. You must buy your used cars from Uptown and deal with Ben the owner. Very helpful and a wonderful person to do business with. We have never done better business than with Uptown. And the price was excellent. We will go back and tell everyone we know.

Reputable dealer that sells reliable used cars that run as they should. Purchased a vintage 25 year old Mercury Tracer in January 2024. Relying on UpCountry Motors positive online reviews, I drove the Tracer the day of purchase and following day 600 miles to my Pennsylvania home. In rainy conditions and over WV mountainous terrain, the Tracer performed flawlessly.

Ben was very nice and accommodating with car purchase from start to finish. Cars are financed through Watson Financing. Mileage was great for the year car purchased. I found them on CarGurus and would recommend. As with any used car just take it to a place to get a diagnostic for the things you can't see or need work on so you can stay ahead of any major issues or have a mechanic with you. We might go back again to purchase another soon.

We purchased a vehicle here three days ago. It was pretty much the best used car experience I have had. He was honest and fair with us. We had noticed some issues with the vehicle we wanted. Most places won't address any problems but he did without any problem. We will do business with him again.

Ben treated me good. He has a pretty laid back, no pressure approach to selling vehicles. I myself prefer that over the larger dealerships. I had to slap Ben around a little bit, ha!..... but in the end, his word stands true. I'd go back if I was looking again. You should check him out.

I’m uploading my review after having plenty of time to enjoy my car! I bought a 2007 Kia Sportage with about 140k miles from Ben in February of 2020! I haven’t had a single problem out of the car and I love it so much. I have felt safe in this car, and it’s extremely reliable! I’ve driven it back and forth from NC, TN, and SC. I haven’t had a single situation where I thought this car wouldn’t make it. I hope it last forever. It’s my favorite little car!

I wanna start off by saying how much I LOVE MY CAR! Ben was so helpful and was very straight forward. I told him from the get go my problems and he did everything he could to help me get into the car. I had been looking for a while for the Turbo model with other particular things I wanted from the car and luckily I ran across his Facebook post. From day one Ben kept great communication I feel if your upfront with anyone in any situation they will be upfront with you and that he was. One of the few times we spoke he mentioned a handful of people were interested in the car that if I put a $250 deposit down he would hold it for a certain amount of time. Point is I love my Veloster and I love that Ben did such an amazing job helping me and guiding me for my future plans.

I was very impressed with the service, Ben hooked me up with a Civic for a great deal and helped me get back on the road again in no time! Very honest and helpful with the condition and history of the vehicle, and over a month later, still no problems. I'll be sure to recommend Upcountry Motors to anyone looking to buy a great used vehicle!

I bought the car on a Saturday. Had plenty of time to go ahead to test drive a 2012 Dodge Avenger that Ben was selling. Not only was he kind, but he was very helpful and honest with the salvage history of the vehicle, and how it ran. The key not being in great shape, Ben offered to help out get a new one at his shop (when I get back from vacation). Coming from Europe, I had no clue on how to register a car in the USA. He was very helpful in taking me through the legal steps at the dealership to getting the car on the road. He even took care of going to the DMV for me to take care of some complications. Although I haven't taken it on a road trip yet, the little bit of time I've been driving it has been more than satisfactory (according to the price and mileage of the vehicle). Was out of town from NC looking for a new car and drove past one he had outside, came by to look at it and immediately fell in love with it. Unfortunately it was out of my price range, but Ben worked with me to make sure I drove home with that car, and I did!! Really awesome guy and super friendly! CarGurus led me to a local used car lots with cars that fit our criteria, so then I carefully read the Google reviews, especially noticing the owner responses to the negative reviews. This is what ultimately led us to Upcountry Motors. Besides being professional and friendly, Ben made sure, when there was a problem with the car we wanted, to do everything needed to get it fixed. Ultimately we were very satisfied and would gladly recommend him to others. This is a painless way to shop for a used car!

I will admit I was afraid of buying a car because I had a firm budget. There was no wiggle room at all. I'm here to tell you that Ben was amazing. He figured out what we needed, he was extremely patient, he was very helpful, he was extremely honest to boot. It wasn't your everyday car salesman spill or routine. There was no pressure he just let us do what we needed to do. He did guide us when we needed guidance. After we had the car for two days the battery went dead on us (not Ben's fault) it was because we bought a car with all the bells and whistles one could want and we left the car doors open while detailing it and well the battery didn't appreciate that. However been was willing to pay half the battery with no hesitation. I will do business with Ben again and I would recommend him to anyone. I was looking to trade in my conversion van for something that would work better for my family. Ben gave me a good amount on my trade in and got me into a Tahoe that has been excellent since I got it. I have talked to other customers of his, and they say that Ben has gone above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy with their purchase.

Ben was great at helping me find a new car. He was very nice and helpful. Honest and extremely fair with his prices. Gave me a pretty decent amount for trading my BMW 325xi. I love my new Volkswagen Jetta GLI! Having had some issues with shady used car places in the past, this was a very pleasant experience. No BS he was straight up about his cars. If your looking for a used car, this is a great place. They don’t have a ton of inventory but they seem to get new cars pretty often. 100% recommend.

Ben is an amazing person to work with and this is a great place to buy used cars. He is flexible and works with you so that you are comfortable and satisfied when you walk out. I am not from Taylors but I am glad I made the 1 hour drive to this dealership. I highly recommend Upcountry to anyone really who cares about the someone who takes the time and effort to sit with you and hash out everything. I never felt the pressure to buy like I have at other chain dealerships.
