Terrible convenience center, spent $400 in Greer and all cardboard was in my car, so I being from Greenville County wanted to do my part and recycling, but was greeted by the trash man who sits in his truck all day and watches who drives up and then he drives up (needs to get out and walk and get some exercise) and asks if I'm from Greer, thankfully I am not, but informed him I was from Greenville County and had $400 worth of cardboard from Greer I would like to recycle and he informed me I could not recycle there. I told him I would never shop in Greer again. I like Travelers Rest and Easley and Greenville so much more anyhow and will not waste another dime there.

I've been going to this recycling place for the 2 years I've lived in Greer. It's so close to the house and much better than going to the drop off by Haywood rd.
We had a lot of damage from Helene and part of that was a destroyed metal shed. I had taken it apart panel by panel and tore up the 3 layer plywood flooring. I had no idea how I was going to get rid of all of that.
Well one Saturday we were doing our regular recycle drop off and I noticed they have a dumpster for metal and one for construction supplies. Took me 3 truck loads but I unloaded all that metal from the shed in the metal dumpster and all that cut up wood in the construction dumpster. So easy and the guy that worked there was so friendly. He even moved the big truck so I could just back my truck up to the dumpster and unload. Felt great to get all that crap out of my yard so we can try to rebuild. Another perk to living in Greer, thank you!!
This place looks rough but it's now going to be my Go-to recycling center. Most places I have to take my cans out and toss them in but the tops of the bins here are slanted so you can dump your cans. Etc. But I'm begging everyone, stop dumping your things in plastic bags it clearly says not to do that!
It's a no-nonsense type of recycling center. Show up and drop off as needed. They've got a few open air containers/bins for everything you'd like to recycle but not able to accept it recycle glass.. only reason for 4 start here.
The bins are always overflowing which causes there to be so much trash all over the ground. Whoever is in charge of this place is doing a TERRIBLE job and needs to do better.
Average recycling center to recycle or get rid of some more specialized waste like electronics or oil. Only downside is the unloading area is a bit small and people park wherever causing some jams
It’s Saturday, it isn’t a holiday, it’s within the hours it is suppose to be open (open 8 to 12 and it’s 10:27)….and the gate is locked. Thank you for wasting our time. If someone was suppose to be here doing their job they aren’t
