This is the most unhelpful auto shop i have EVER been to. In past experiences with flat tires, I have been able to find a shop and ask if someone could possibly help with replacing them. I have never had an issue until now. I walked FIVE minutes down the road to this shop to ask for help and only two of them seemed like they wanted to TRY. The other two sat there and looked at me like I was stupid for even asking an AUTO SHOP for HELP. I have never felt more belittled in my life just by looks. The other two seemed like they wanted to help but couldn’t because we weren’t parked in the lot of the shop.

Review for Parks Auto Shop – Folly Road Location I’ve been a loyal customer of Parks Auto since the beginning of this year, as recommended by my trusted mechanic. However, my recent experience at the Folly Road location was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional—specifically due to the treatment I received from Doug. When I called to ask about service for my Kia Soul, Doug asked which engine it had and listed off three options. Before I could even tell him—which I already knew—he cut me off and repeated the question multiple times. I told him clearly that it’s a 1.6L engine, but he continued to talk over me in an irritated tone and insist that he “still needed to know” what the engine was, as if I hadn’t already answered him 3 TIMES. What frustrated me most was the condescending tone and dismissive attitude. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I don’t know my own vehicle. I came prepared with the information needed to get the job done. Instead of respecting that, Doug acted irritated and patronizing, which felt incredibly disrespectful. Then, he asked for my license plate—which felt unnecessary given I was already providing the specific details about my car. At that point, I chose to end the call. I refuse to spend my money where I’m not treated with basic respect. I’ve never had issues at the Parks Auto location on Sam Rittenberg—they’ve always provided excellent service. But after this experience, I will never return to or recommend the Folly Road location. Management needs to address how Doug interacts with customers. If you’re going to be the person answering phones and representing the business, treating people with dignity and professionalism should be a baseline expectation.
