Last year my catalytic converter was stolen while I was away at graduate school, and I brought my car here for a replacement. I explained that my vehicle is registered in New York and that any part installed needed to meet New York emissions requirements. Despite this, a federal catalytic converter was installed, which I recently learned is not legal in New York State.
Over the past year I had an ongoing check engine light related to the system, and I also paid for new O2 sensors here that did not resolve the issue. Now that my NY inspection is due, I’ve been told the car will not pass because the converter installed here is not compliant. Replacing it correctly will cost several thousand dollars.
I’m sharing this review so that others, especially out-of-state customers or students like me, are aware and can confirm that the correct, state-legal parts are being used. I wish this had been clearly addressed up-front, as it has created a major financial and logistical headache a year later.

I would give SA Auto 6 stars out of 5 if possible. Mohammed is very experienced with his craft he can figure out issues just by listening to the noise. He is even able to guess what the issue can be by hearing a description of the problem which is amazing. He is always very friendly and welcoming. Depending on the issue he can have the car back to you within a day or two. I would highly recommend seeing him with any car issues your having. Also I forgot to mention he won't try to over charge you or make any recommendations that won't resolve the actual issue of the car. He can fix any make and any model, no problem. You should only come here if you are looking for an honest, excellent, and quality car service experience. If you have patience to let the Doctor diagnose the issues, he will always figure it out, or send you somewhere that can.

Got me in quickly and was able to get my car back to me in great condition! Very impressed with everything and didn't feel ripped off like I have other places.
Came in for axle clicking. Prince was able to repair the car and also let me know about a transmission service that was due. We talked about it and i was able to to have that done the same day! So happy with my service and will be returning
Prince is a master of his craft. My girlfriend's BMW 435i required a lot of work. He was able to quickly repair the brakes, pads/rotors, headlights, and also added a muffler (muffler was originally deleted by previous owner) with professional level service. While other mechanics in the area were charging me an arm and a leg (possibly my left kidney too) and unable to source the parts within a manageable time, Prince got to work and wasted no time in making sure that his customers needs are met. His price and quality of work is unparalleled.
