Updated: very knowledgeable staff, always helpful, great selection in all aspects. Rather go here n spend local. Nothing like a big box store. I've shopped n bought fishing equipment, hunting, clothing, ammo, licenses. You won't be disappointed
Nice blend of all things outdoors, pleasantly surprised with carhartt and ladies stores attached on. Prices were fair, selection was good, but no great deals.
Bought a rifle. Mitchell helped me find what I was looking for. Was a great help. Made everything very easy and was very patient. Prices were reasonable. Was my first time at this location. Was surprised how big it is and the variety of items offered.
The fishing section was well-stocked with a variety of rods, hooks and everything in between! The employees were friendly, knowledgeable and took time & care in helping my son choose a fishing pole that was just right for him.
This store did not allow its customers to use the restroom even while making a purchase.
They said they were out of order.But they had a printed sign on the door and a fancy stop sign in the back hall.And then we overheard them saying that if we would have spent more money, we could have used the bathroom.

Went to buy a Pistol here, staff at the Firearms counter were passive aggressive and acted like I was bothering them. Asked if they had a Holsters I could buy with my gun and was told "buy it online from Amazon" pretty much refused to upsell any add-ons I wanted, except bullets.
Filling out state and federal paperwork went fine though. And selection wasn't too bad, but not anything better than other shops in the area. I won't go back Dunkelbergers because of staff alone and won't recommend them to anyone.
They have a large selection of guns and ammo. But the diamond in the rough here is there archery dept. Guy who runs it name is bucky. Yeah I know, but he has the knowledge. He repairs n modifies bows. Nice place, a little over priced, but not much. They have multiple locations, you can find what you need there.
I bought a 9 mm Taurus semi-automatic off of them used got the gun home took the gun apart the gun was filthy very dirty had to clean the crap out of it so would shoot took it to the shooting range and couldn't shoot one freaking target even after aiming straight at it it was off by a mile would never buy another used gun off of them in a lifetime they don't clean their used guns or nothing and then I called him up and told him about it and they gave me a ton of excuses very poor management very poor customer service and everything else there are terrible to deal with never buy a used gun off of them you don't know what you're getting not worth it
I usually go to the stroudsburg location, but have gotten a few great jackets from north face from here. My husband loves this store for the even bigger selection of fishing supplies.
Mike was very helpful. I had issue with a reel I owned. Brought it into Dunkelbergers-Brodheadsville, and Mike was prompt and knowledgeable in assisting me. Walked out with all my issues fixed, and was a happy customer.
Well if your going there for anything in there ad good look.Never have anything in stock and then get rude attitude.been in both stores and even called to see if in stock in both stores 4 times in a week..thanks for wasting my time so right after this review I'll just order what I want on line and have it in 3days... bye bye
Called to get a bow re-strung, was told looking at a week turn-around. Okay, well the week went by, called to see if it was done, was told "strings didn't come in yet", okay. Waited 3 days and check back (on thursday) if they had come in. Was told "they were ordered today, it'll be another day or 2. Now after the second day still nothing, they lie through their teeth and over promise and under deliver.
Amazing service. I recommend Keith K. if you're looking for a gun. He took good care of us. I am very happy 100% with the entire experience. Keith was very helpful and accommodating. I'm going back next week for a new piece for the wife!
Me and my mother once bought a firearm from the place last Christmas with no issues whatsoever and THEY KNEW it was a GIFT for MY DAD who LEGALLY can carry a firearm, they made sure of it and had no issues selling it to me and my mother then. I recently went to buy a firearm for myself with my father and truly believe we got racially profiled because my dad ‘lead’ the transaction. This was my first time buying a firearm for myself so obviously I had him helping me, but they turned us away because it deemed ‘suspect’ and they thought I was ‘straw buying’ the firearm for my dad meanwhile my dad has purchased firearms himself there before. We offered for us both to get background checked and he even showed his concealers permit and they still refused to sell us the firearm. Either way I lucked out because we went to the Pocono Summit Firearms and he not only told us flat out we were racially profiled, but he gave me a lesson at no cost since this was my time purchasing a firearm and he even let me see other firearms to make sure I got the one that was perfect for me. It’s sad how this all played out but they’re never getting me and my families service ever again.
Visited several times and made several purchases. Prices aren’t out of touch for firearms and ammo. Clothing and everything else is nothing I’m ever interested in, so I can’t give an opinion on the clothes. Front of house staff is super nice. Firearm staff could honestly be friendlier. The last couple of times I’ve visited, they’re quite curt and not really personable. I’m made to feel like a bother asking a question. I’m here to possibly spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on a firearm, a more personable experience would be appreciated. Also, don’t bring up that you went to their online inventory to browse because they’ll come right out and say don’t waste your time because it’s never accurate. I appreciate the honesty, but don’t have one at all if it’s not updated regularly. No sense in having a tool that doesn’t work.
Fantastic sports store with a family owned feel. We went back 3 times and bought a bunch of fishing lures and some finds from the special table. Impressive selection of kayaks and knowledgeable staff. Great store.
Great company and awesome selection. The customer service is great and their inventory is well above what you would ever expect. Prices are more than fair and the employees are both knowledgeable and helpful. If you are ever in this area and interested in the outdoors/cooking/shooting/home defense or anything near those categories, definitely check them out. I describe them to friends as a mini cabelas that I end up buying even more from. Couldn’t recommend enough. Keep up the great work!
Usually a great experience! however this last time i went in because my reel was over spooled again & i have been having issues directly after having it lined. so today i simple go in for a a reline & a bit more detail & i was rudely degraded by the bald gentleman in the guns. stating that i remind him of fishing with his kids ? seems uncalled for & unprofessional.
when i ask to speak to a manager , I do not get one. only the gentleman i dealt with prior. Didn’t seem to interested in helping , i seemed like a bother.
however if you go in on the day mr bill is there, he is extremely helpful & joyful!
they have great products but I wouldn’t ask for assistance ,

Well, this place is a hit or a miss. I've visited several times now and I give my opinion in hopes that it might help improve their business, because I truly like the place and it serves a need in the local community.
The men that are back in the firearms department are truly hit or miss. Some of them are just out right rude and seem to hate people, their jobs or their lives, others not so much. If you get the rude one, I guarantee it will ruin your experience. The one who was extremely rude and impolite on two different occasions has been there for a couple years, so it doesn't seem like the owners care too much about him.
The guy that covers the archery equipment, is hands down one of the best people I've met in retail. Very friendly, always seems to be in a good mood and is very helpful.
The guy who covers the fishing equipment is not impolite, but he isn't very friendly either. He was helpful but acted like he was too busy. This isn't exactly a bad review, but we needed more help and he answered a question, walked us to the product and then walked off. That wouldn't be a problem but we had further questions.
There seem to be different people at the registers nearly everytime I go, must be the days and times I go. I have never had a bad experience checking out.
Now to the overall store, it's nice. A little older but not bad. They have competitive prices and everything I went in to get, they've had in stock.
I have never been in the Stroudsburg location.
Store was pretty fairly well stocked. Fishing section was average at best. Has the normal selection of outdoors clothing. For not really a goto if I was looking for most fishing needs. But better then anything local to me.
Stopped in on a whim while we were in town for the RED BALL Military truck show. My dad and I were impressed by the selection and layout. He was able to find some mantles for his lanterns and a very nice gentleman in the gun dept obliged my curiosity with a number of pistols and rifles I looked at. The selection was exceptional and the prices reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will stop in again when we are in town next year!
Stopped here because we needed a tent while camping at Don Laine. They had what we needed (bought a 6-person Coleman tent) and the price was reasonable ($150). They have a nice selection of footwear, clothing and outdoor sporting supplies. The staff are friendly and the store was clean, including the restroom. If we're in need of supplies again, I'll definitely go here.
