I came into Kost Tire and Muffler for a simple tire repair and left completely impressed. Red provided outstanding service from start to finish. Even though the shop was extremely busy, he took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me with real respect. Because of how well I was treated, I decided to do an oil change and purchase four new tires on the spot. Red is professional, smart, and truly ambitious when it comes to mechanic work and customer service. When another customer canceled their oil change appointment, he immediately accommodated me and made sure I was taken care of. That level of effort and attention is rare. This location is ok, they are quick, and talkative to certain customers, but I was surprised my alignment was not checked prior to installing $1200 tires. When asked, tech told me the old tires appeared to worn evenly so it wasn't necessary. I have 30 days to go back so they can check it for free - weird technique if you ask me.

George is awesome! Always willing to help and get things done even if it takes all day! He works to take care of his customers! Highly recommend!

I had a screw in my tire, which was causing a slow leak. I had a full day planned when I discovered it. Called 3 local garages near me. Had to leave voice mails. I called Kost and talked to George. He said bring it in and we will fix it. No appt. It only took 30 minutes. He was so nice and the fee was extremely reasonable. Thank you. Highly recommend.

I truly trust this place. Service is better than you would think. Very thorough. Written estimates for any work, and they keep within the estimate.

George got me in and fixed my tire and my lights bulbs in 1 hr and was extremely busy with other customers Allentown PA Lehigh’s st could not help me right away and said that it would take at least 2-3 hours to get in and then another hour to fix I’m out of state live in Wisconsin but use to live here in PA and George has always taken excellent care of all my vehicles Thank u so much George and stay awesome and keep being your funny self

Brought my truck in for new plastic door handles, Air Conditioner Problem, Air Bag Sensor, and inspection.. Specifically asked not to buy OEM handles as they are available for $45 for all 4 online, and I am not in a hurry. Got a call they can not do the airbag, OK Fine. Next day got the call it was done. $1044 dollars.. They bought 4 Plastic Handles that were almost $500 for the handles alone! Another $200 to charge the AC (without finding any leak) + inspection and labor charges.. Went to pick up the truck and I tried the handles, One door would not open. They brought it back in, 25 minutes later brought it out and the same- 1 door would still not open. They brought it back in, and I left for about an hour. Came back and asked for my truck back and I will fix it, as obviously they were incapable. The front desk guy said it's probably a defective handle. I drove the truck home in pieces.. Granted I choose to take it like that, as AFTER he told me the part was defective, I was offered No Refund on the handle the manager guy called "Defective". I was super annoyed how he tried to explain the reasoning of ordering $500 plastic handles instead of the $45 set, as he claimed it was because of the superior quality co there would be no problems, and he is saying this as the truck was apart for the 3rd time from a "Defective Handle" In summary, I paid 1044$ for 4 plastic handles (1 defective), an AC charge without finding the leak, and inspection.. No refund offered for a defective part even though I was visibly frustrated with the work and prices. Instead he asked if I wanted a replacement handle. I said No Way. There is no way I was trusting these people any further. Additional Damage- After writing this review, I went to finish the job and found snapped-off plastic securing clips on the interior door triangle panel. I understand this stuff happens, but makes me wonder what other damage is under the other 3 doors they worked on. Obviously their motto is- If damage occurs, just slap it back together, make it hold, and don't mention it. UPDATE: 7/30/25 As expected, the air condition is once again blowing hot air. And the Air Bag they told me that can not fix was a simple blown fuse. So YEP- TOTAL WASTE, and KOST have not even tried to contact me to make it right. So there ya have it

I’ve been going to this Kost tire location for about 5 years now. They’ve always been good to me. Most recently, helping me with an issue I had with one of my trailer tires. Thanks Kost tire!

My wheel bearings on my Subaru were bad so they had me come in to see what i would need. After looking at my car and seeing how bad it was they did not want me driving on it. Knowing I had to get back and forth to work they offered to fix it until I got paid. I always get my tires and work done with them. Knowing that they care that much about their customers will always make me bring my vehicle back to them.

What a great bunch of guys . Got my corvette wheels and tires mounted with no issues. Unlike the other place in town that told me after I dropped them off they Couldn’t do them because their people were incapable. Costco tire has earned my business from here on out

Hunter was extremely great to work with. I had an issue with my tires, needed 4 new tires and had a long driving trip scheduled for the same afternoon so I was in a time crunch. Hunter got me right in for my service and did not try to sell me anything extra or unnecessary. While I was at the register a disgusting customer came in and made an odd comment toward me, meant to make me uncomfortable, and Hunter apologized and assured me that if the customer said anything else to me or make me uncomfortable, he would handle it. I appreciated it!

I can't say enough good about the folks at Kost in Broadheadsville. I've gotten tires there several times (good prices, fast turn around). They went above-and-beyond with my most recent muffler job. I have an older, unique sports car, which needed a new front cat. I brought the parts and they did the installation. They quoted me two hours for the work, which seemed fair. I decided to wait for the car (which was, perhaps, my only mistake). It took them much longer to actually install the part, but they honored the original estimate. Tyler and George are fair and competent (and funny) managers. They team in the shop were pros, who also had a good sense of humor about the tough job I brought them.

Everyone needs a mechanic shop that they can trust, afford, and get work done hassle free, so I’m really happy that I had an amazing experience with Kost, George was extremely transparent and generous. The pricing was great and affordable. I will be back to do my regular maintenance and tires with them for the foreseeable future

I give a 5 star review to Tyler Lojewski and the entire team at Brodheadsville ,PA location. They worked tirelessly investigating an ongoing issue with my 2020 Rogue, resulting in resolving the issue when multiple dealerships couldn't find the problem. Because of their dedication to customer satisfaction my daughter and brother have also purchased tires at this location and I will continue to have my vehicles serviced here. I highly recommend this service center for your vehicle needs.

I went here on 11/18/2024 because one of my brake lights was out. The gentleman at the front counter was very nice and funny. Also the mechanic was a nice guy he was very polite. My total wait time till they took my car in was about 15min then took the mechanic about 3min to change the light was there less then 20min. Thank you for your helpfulness and politeness and quickness! I will continue being a customer!

Stopped here on the way to Jim Thorpe because our tire had a pretty good leak. They took us in right away, plugged the tire, and didn't charge us a penny. Can't remember the last time I had customer service like this. This is how you get a customer for life!

Every year when its car inspection time, I cringe. How much time will it take to get this done. This year, we decided to go to Kost TIre in Brodsheadsville. We had been there for other car issues and were very happy with the service. From the moment we arrived, we were met by a positive, humorous man, Dominick, who made the process easy. We had not scheduled an appointment but stopped on our way back from doing errands. So we were put in the cue and we waited. The service was amazing, and I couldn't even finish the second Rifleman episode on TV and the car was done. Fresh coffee was available and the place was fairly quiet and very clean. What makes a customer happy...knowing the job will be done well and in a timely manner. Thank you for making this process easy and next year, I will make an appointment and maybe only spend half the time with the Rifleman.

**Stay Far Away from These liars!!! Hacks!!** Worst experience I've had in my almost 30 yrs of car ownership and many vehicle repairs! On my first visit to this location I found out, after I arrived home, that they crushed in Both sides of my vehicle from improper lifting positions and also left the hood unlatched. I was not happy to say the least but being a nice person I decided to give them a second shot as the service couldn't be completed that day and I needed it done. I returned to have the service completed and kindly asked if this time they could lift it at a different location as not to cause anymore damage and was told that was not a problem(With Absolutely no apology from manager). Approx 5-6 hrs later I had to call them as I had not received any update on the 1 hr approx service and was told that they had worked on it for hrs and had finished most of the work but couldn't complete it as it confused them?!? The incoherent story Felt really shady so I got a second opinion, to which I was shown that half of the parts are seized(and verified once cut out) and couldn't possibly have been adjusted at all! The shop manager lied right to my face and made up a phoney story of how it was mostly fixed!, my guess is because I asked, nicely as poss I might add, not to lift it up at the same location, so they decided to just leave it parked in the same exact spot for hours, exactly as I left it!! Do Not Trust These People With the safety of your vehicle!!! I wouldn't hire them to fix a shopping cart!! I have done all of my own auto repairs for 30 yrs aside from certain tasks that requires a shop, in those yrs I've never experienced anything like this, especially a shop damaging a vehicle from lifting it, that's basic first day kind of knowledge.

Great service, great staff. To be honest, I've had less-than-perfect experiences with Kost before, but today I had no other choice but to pull in here. I was more than pleasantly surprised. They were busy, but they understood the urgency of my situation. They got me right into a bay and back on the road as quickly as possible. They walked me some my vehicle and made recommendations, but didn't aggressively upsell me like I've experienced before. They got my vehicle repaired and road-ready and sent me on my way. Great service. I'll be back.

Have been here several times for multiple different reasons. Manager Shannon has made sure I always had a pleasant experience with her professionalism and knowledgeable advice on what my vehicle needed. Company has very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Not enough mechanics too long a wait they used to be my goto car repair/tire shop...everyone is hurting but some have a better way of talking to the customer

I highly advise you avoid this place!!! I dropped off my vehicle for a tire dismount/ mount & balance. After an hour they called me it was done. I come in to pick it up and quickly looked at the tires before I payed for service. None of the tires looked like they were dismounted and flipped. So I go up to the counter and speak with a young lady, told her that nothing was done to my car, to which she insisted that it was done and it'll cost me $120. I did not want to pay for something that wasn't done so we asked the mechanic to raise it up in the air and I pointed with my finger showing them that nothing was touched and they still insisted that they were removed and put back on. So we waited for the menager to show up. I spoke to him showing him the tires exactly as I did before and even he tried to convince me that he saw the mechanic do it, after which he said - "You know just to be on a good side, I'm not going to have you pay". I used to work with tires and I know what I'm looking at. I will not give my money away for free and I advise everyone else to watch theirs too. Check your cars after you get them serviced. I will never come back again.

Very busy on a Friday. I was there 2 hours and 20 mins to get 4 tires put on and had an appt. (I did arrive 15 mins early). Snack machine, tv, free coffee, a restroom and about 8 chairs for the customers to sit on. Best prices I've found because they include all the "hidden fees" that other local places add on. Don't pay extra for valve stems and tire balancing. Come to Kost instead.

After a rough week with family and dealing with many issues around the house. These guys saved the day. Couldn't be happier knowing all of my vehicles are serviced and professionally upkept by this team.

I brought my car in for a PA inspection to Kost Tire & Auto Service. I was called about an hour after dropping it off and was told by the service manager that I needed new struts in order to pass inspection. He gave me a quote of $2200 to replace all four struts (complete assemblies) as they should be replaced in pairs...but only three were leaking, this included parts and labor. Then I told him that they had been replaced within the past year. He said they were leaking and I should take them back to where they were installed for warranty. I picked up my car and paid the $10 fee for their lie. I posted the pictures of all four struts....I do not see any leaking what so ever. Here is a snippet of the PA regulation for passenger vehicles according to the dmv.pa.gov website from publication 45: (3) Inspect suspension system and REJECT IF one or more of the following apply: (i) The ball joint movement is in excess of the manufacturer’s specifications. (ii) The shock absorbers are missing. (iii) The shock absorbers mounting bolts or mounts are broken. (iv) The shock absorbers have severe leakage–not slight dampness. According to regulation slight dampness is not considered a failure. I had brought my cars for inspections here for the past three years, however after this incident I will take my business else where. As an update, I took my car to another inspection station the next day and the car passed just fine.
