Transmission failed about 300 miles after I bought my used truck from Carvana. Danco Transmission was outstanding—highly knowledgeable about working with the warranty company and they got my transmission replaced without a hassle. Their communication and service were excellent, and I’ll continue bringing my other vehicles there for service.

What an amazing place. You are greeted by nice front desk people. The shop is clean and the work is excellent. I highly recommend them.

The best transmission spot in the city! I quickly towed my car from a major dealership to Danco because the price was unreal! The service was awesome. They treat you like family and work with you too! Plus if you can't pay it now they have a company they partner with for financing. If you are having transmission trouble come here first you won't regret it!!

I can’t say enough great things about Danco Transmission & Auto Care in Fairfield, Ohio. The staff is honest, knowledgeable, and truly cares about their customers—not just making a sale. They took the time to clearly explain what was going on with my vehicle, gave fair and transparent pricing, and completed the work quickly and correctly. It’s hard to find an auto repair shop you can genuinely trust, but Danco Auto Care has earned my confidence 100%. I never felt pressured or upsold on unnecessary repairs. Friendly service, quality work, and real integrity—this place sets the standard. If you’re in or around Fairfield, OH and need automotive work done, Danco Auto Care is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Dear Joe, I think that you have a lot to work on within yourself. You seem to think of yourself as a good guy but do you ever actually feel like a good guy? Your entire identity stands inside big shoes to fill and yet you lack assertion over your choice to fill those shoes. Honestly, I feel for you. You’ve taken on a role that carries a weight beyond just business and I witnessed how that’s effecting you. You don’t want to confront yourself and acknowledge the part you play in your life circumstances. Instead, you prefer to walk around your day to day with a mask on, filling your time with stressful distractions so you don’t have to process your emotions. It’s sad, honestly. “What do you want me to do, write you a check?” - no Joe. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the accountability in recognizing the error of your ways. It was about having consideration for someone else’s inconveniences caused by you. I was fine eating the expense when I thought you were fixing my sound issue. If I am telling you that you’ve inconvenienced me, and you respond with telling me how you’ve helped me, you’ve completely disregarded my experience. Is it helpful to disregard someone? I know that’s how you feel, you feel like no one takes your feelings into consideration and you have to deal with it so it’s fine, so you projected that onto me. Sigh. Truthfully, you’re gonna have to kill your ego a bit. Let your shoulder be a testament to how much work you’re willing to do on yourself. Maybe be thoughtful for those who care for you this season. Maybe be grateful that your needs are met, and stop digging yourself into a deeper hole because you’re scared to get out. I hope you find peace, and I honestly mean that. I get to walk away from this with another lesson learned and for that, thank you. Tell Jason to listen to customer complaints clearly if he’s gonna do intake, or don’t blame him for the problems if you’re the one choosing to be careless. You blamed your brother, you blamed your employee, but it was you who I spoke with on the phone and it was you who told me my problem would be fixed, and surprise when it wasn’t, it was you who didn’t want to be held accountable. It’s out of my hands now, I did my part. You’re my last Joe for the year and for that I’m grateful. Signed, a wacko woman

This is my second time working with them. All transmission issues can be very pricy, they do everything they can to make as budget friendly as possible. I have recommended them to many friends and will again.

I had a great experience here. My car needed its transmission replaced. I called around and talked to several places. I went with Danco because of their customer service. They were so nice. They took time to answer all of my questions and was willing to give me a ballpark price on what to expect the cost would be. They towed it in for me for free. They kept me updated on the on the progress. For a big expense such as this, you want to deal trustworthy people. Im glad that I chose Danco.

First, Joe from Danco was transparent and in constant communication throughout the lifecycle of the process. My wife and I have a 2015 pathfinder and the transmission, as we all know with Nissan failed. It was a tough process to decide whether to keep it or purchase a new vehicle. Ultimately we decided to fix the truck, knowing that we were in the process of purchasing a new home. The truck drives like new and my wife feels safe driving it. She drove it from Cincinnati to Houston, no problems at all. Job well done!

Our transmission went out on our suburban and Danco took excellent care of us and treated us with the utmost respect, no upsales or hiden fees even helped us with our extended warrenty and additional financing. The work was excellent and kept in constant contact along the way, I will always recommend this business as well ass support it by bringing all my cars here for services.

Giving you a 5 stars. The reason why? Here's your reason: I just brought a truck and got hired on from Schneider back in Aug as where I was tight on financial due to laid off from landscaping, you gave me to take my time doing payments for my truck transmission for 2months thank you for everything you did for me and your understanding. You did a good job my truck is doing better as what should be and thank you for fixing my tire. You guys are an Angel from God I recommend to come back for maintenance when ever need.

I cannot recommend Danco Transmission and Auto Care enough! Joe and his team kept me informed throughout the whole process of repairing my car's AC. Took it to a previous mechanic and they had a hard time finding out what truly was wrong with the AC. I took it to Danco and they found the issue and took care of me. I cannot recommend Danco enough. Joe and his team are fantastic to deal with. A good honest family owned business that takes care of their customers.

I dropped my car off before hours and within a day a nd a half I had my car back running good as new! I love taking my car to Danco because I always get personal care and attention. They are extremely helpful and don’t try to oversell me on anything. They are so fast and so thorough! Best place in town!

I was traveling to Cincinnati and had car trouble, called this place to see if they could check it out. They were very accommodating and treated me with respect. Explained in detail what was happening with my Jeep. Fixed the idler pulley and the alternator. Thank you for the great service and superior customer service.

after 2 weeks and a missed pick up date (said it would be ready tuesday and said a fuse blew so they extended it to friday) i get the car back and for some reason my lug nut caps are missing…? there is no explanation as to why these would be missing, nobody has touched the car besides them so i have no idea why they would feel the need to take them off and not include them when i got the car back. i noticed some damage on my front right wheel (fitting for a FWD transmission swap) and they claimed it wasn’t them. funny how i never damaged the wheel and it randomly appears. great job on replacing my transmission, the car runs great. but im not happy for how you went about it with the issues that came up.

I had my son's 2004 BMW 330 XI in the shop fall of last year. Lots of issues were wrong and they took care of it all. Sadly, my daughter's 2014 Mazda developed a noise from the driver side. I was hoping it was a wheel bearing and brought it to my mechanic. Unfortunately, transfer case/Transmission. He got me a quote from a dealer which was $3000 more than what Danco charged me. The team at Danco always look to balance durable repair, three year warranty while minding my budget. With that being said, I hope I never see them again!!!! :) 4/11/25. Son found a loose bolt and thought it was from the tranny. Danco took car back in and it turned out bolt was from the starter. They fixed it regardless no charge!!!!

I honestly cannot say enough about this company. Danco has been in business since the early '70s family-owned and operated to this date. Unbelievably fair in my experience. They bent over backward and jumpef through many hoops to get our particular vehicle going again. Mr. Joe Stewart the owner is a great guy very understanding very easy to work with and I would highly recommend Danco Auto Care and Transmission Service to anybody in need of a mechanic or vehicle maintenance. And as In any and every situation Make sure you understand what to expect from your mechanic and your maintenance shop when you drop your vehicle off. And remember these individuals operate a business that has an overhead. But please give Danco a try

I even got my car back a day before they said it was suppose to be done. Know I’m back on the road in not time, and running better then before. Thanks Danco. The service was great. Hope to never see you again. I mean that in a good way, lol. Thank joe and the team for all the great work.

It amazes me just how great their staff. I recently had my son's car in for a tire issue. Paul and his team were kind enough to let me know the used car he bought had more serious tire issues (two tires were the wrong size!). After the bad news, Paul made us a great deal on new tires to installed ASAP. He also checked over the car for other safety issues only to discover that LED lights have been installed where they shouldn't have (my son didn't understand why the lights didn't seem right). In the end, they put in several of the right bulbs and made sure all the lights worked front and back. It's great to see employees of this company go above and beyond for an inexpensive used car. Grant now has a safer car, and I am pleased again with how well our trip to Danco worked out!

I recently had my F150 10-speed transmission serviced here and I had a great experience ). Over the years I have worked with many shops and this place is one of my favorites. They take the time to discuss the issue with you in detail and in they went above and beyond to replicate the issue I was experiencing. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here instead of a general repair shop if you're having transmission issues. I took my truck to two other reputable places and they only offered basic remedies. When it comes to a transmission, you should see a specialist and Danco is great at what they do. I was also not pressured into writing a 5-star review here like many places are doing these days. This is a genuine rating. Thank you again Danco!

This is an updated and more thorough review: Response to owner 10202023: Joe, I sent you an email on Jul 30, 2023, 7:53 PM and haven't received a response. Your shop done more than the power transfer unit. I dropped my car off (@ 144148 miles) to be diagnosed (POC: Joe Stewart) on 02/28/23 for gurgling noise coming from transmission (faint diesel engine sound). The car drives fine, it was the sound that concerned me. Joe let me know what the sound could be and they would have to take transmission apart to determine what issue is. They also let me know that suspension needs attention and valve cover gaskets needs replaced. I knew of the other 2 issues and was planning to take car to different specialists but trusted Danco for those repairs as well. The final bill came up to $4,951.18. $663.90 was out of pocket while the rest was covered under warranty. 03/28/23, Picked up car. Noticed radio automatically scanning stations repeatedly so I turned radio off. Air conditioner temperature increasing on its own. When temperature lowered, it raised back up. Turned off AC then it turned on automatically and continues to increase. 03/29/23, almost got stranded due to negative battery terminal being loose. Borrowed wrench from nearby mechanic to tighten cable myself. That explained AC and radio malfunction. 04/01/23, noticed pattern of dark fluid on driveway (photos taken) decided to park car on street in front of home. Transmission still gurgles. The suspension still loud. I also checked under hood and noticed oil splashes in the engine compartment as if coming from valve cover gasket. I have several cars and rarely drive this one, so I left it parked (@144307). 04/20/23, I pulled car forward to trim lawn edges. Started car, pulled forward 20-30 feet, placed in park then began smelling gas. Got out the car to a huge spot of gas where I pulled away from and a gas trail leading from previous spot to new spot coming from engine compartment (photos taken). 04/20/23, a Danco affiliate tow truck picked up car @144307 miles. 05/12/23, I haven't heard from Danco, since 04/20. No email, phone call or text. 05/16/23, stopped by Danco for update. Jason told me that it was a bad transfer case and they had to order another one (convo recorded). The new one should be there later the same week. If there was a different transfer case installed, why is the gurgling sound the same as before? Is sound coming from transfer case or transmission? 06/08/23, Haven’t heard from Danco, no phone call, no email. 06/12/23, called for an update. Spoke with Jason. He said the wrong transfer case was sent and they're waiting for new one to arrive. 07/05/23, stopped by Danco to get an update. Jason said car is complete then proceeded to check out. Before starting car, I began recording my inspection. I found plastic engine cover and wire harness improperly placed. Found additional damage done to left bank valve cover variable camshaft timing solenoid seal. Driver side power seat control cover broken. I addressed findings with Jason. He repositioned wire harness to proper location and secured engine cover. Jason said torn VCT solenoid rubber seal isn’t a big issue and wouldn’t harm engine (not true). Jason also said he'll order the driver seat control cover. Vehicle @ 144358 miles (51 miles added while at Danco). 07/05/23, I drove the vehicle from Danco directly to the Ford service department for a fresh diagnostic (@144364). 07/14/23, Ford findings (1) transfer case not new, looks to be used or original cleaned then reinstalled (photos taken), (2) VCT solenoid seal torn during replacement of valve cover gasket (photos taken), (3) the AC malfunction continue. 10/20/23, Almost $2,000 out-of-pocket to finally get car back to same condition as before Danco. AC module replaced, VCT solenoid replaced and still hear gurgling sound that I initially brought it in for. Taking car there was more costly than beneficial. Communication was bad on Danco's end, I have the records, photos and videos to prove it. I've initiated over 90% of all communication for months!
