Was literally cheated/beat out of some of the aluminum that I took in! My materials had been weighed before being taken in & was signifently shorted (on the weights & amounts) Some of my material was literally stolen by this bunch! All should beware when dealing with this bunch! Rigged Scales! Cheated on Weights & amounts! BBB Notified! I stood within 10 ft. of the scale which was literally turned off before all of my material had been weighed or counted & was cheated & shorted out of about 25% of my material! This had happened more than once! All scrap sellers should beware of these actions from this bunch! I will never go there again for any price or reason! Scales & personal are set up to rip off or beat scrap sellers! Cheats & Thieves!
Absolutely horrible experience. We cleaned our copper and aluminum for two weeks. Everything was seperated neatly into large bins. From prior experiences we expected the load to range between 350-450. But they would not let me out of my truck while the workers just started grabbing items and bins and just dumped them into their containers. After two weeks of stripping large wire and disassembling radiators, I was paid as #2 copper and low grade aluminum. Altogher they paid me $119 and I didn't have any of my stainless even accounted for. What a joke. With having to stay in my truck and they mixed my materials with theirs I had no solid ground to stand on to make an argument. My word against four disrespectful employees. I tried to make everyone's job easier and safer by spending a few hours each day for two weeks sorting, cleaning and sizing everything for a smooth transaction. And it felt like theft to me because of that fact. Don't waste your time or effort at a facility that can basically steal from you while you sit in your vehicle looking stupid. Next time I will drive an hour away and still earn three times more for my work.

I have been going there to donate the plastic bottles for a while and been happy to do it.
But unfortunately I got into trouble today,because I did not stop my car after I got into garage right away(I was told)
I did not see any stop sign and was not too close to the car in front of me.
One person was quite upset and scolding me with such a tone of voice to humiliating me as if I did something really bad.
I controlled myself and did not got into argument with him.
He sarcastically asked me whether I saw a stop sign or not.
I did not.
Other workers all nice and gentle.
He thought I did something very stupid but it is problem with
Design of your garage(dark and disorganized). I still feel his attitude and manner
Are not right toward customers.
I went there to do good deed but he made me awful.
I will not bother him

I pull in the building to unload my copper Electric motors stainless steel brass aluminum on the scale I step out of my truck and the guy immediately tells me to get back in my truck that you’re not allowed out of your vehicle anymore while they grade your metals without you watching. After leaving the building, I pull over and look in the back of my truck and they left several recyclable items still in my truck.?♂️ I strongly recommend people going elsewhere. This place has gotten out of control..
Poor customer service, long wait times, and rude management. Workers at BlueScope do not seem particularly focused on pleasing customers. When I brought in a mixed load of metal and tried to explain what I had in my truck, I felt like two workers were laughing at me, and one worker, who I presume was supposed to be directing me where to unload my steel, was so absorbed on his cell phone that I'm not sure he ever looked up the whole time I was backing in and then unloading. And the inefficiency: The wait time to get onto the scale was 10+ minutes at the steel yard...so long that I had to leave without getting paid in order to make an appointment. I would estimate that sometimes it can take more than 30 minutes to recycle $10-$20 worth of metals. I can see why many people just throw stuff away. When I talked to the manager about the delays, he told me of all things to "get my act together." I didn't even know what he meant. I thought by bringing in recyclable metals and having them sorted upon arrival that I had my ducks in a row. His response to me seemed rude and aggressive. Telling me to "get my act together" is ironic because that's exactly why I recommend taking your recycling elsewhere. BlueScope seems poorly run and focused primarily on getting commercial semi loads through. This company seems to have little interest in taking care of consumer loads of aluminum, wiring, steel, etc. The sad thing is that it's not easy for households to recycle in Richland County, and BlueScope doesn't really make it any easier.
I would not recommend this company. My son dropped off recycling and when the employee closed the tano cover on his truck bed they broke the latch and didn't say anything. My son realized something was wrong with the cover. He went back to the recycling center(same day)and he talked with someone at the place about it. They looked at his truck and they even pulled video that shows the employee broke the latch. He was told they would need to get with the supervisor so they got his info and would contact him. He has called them multiple times and gets told someone will call him and they never do. He went and had the latch fixed and took the receipt to them and they made a copy and still said someone would get back with him. He called them again and now they say there is no proof that the employee broke the latch. He told the person there was video and they wanted to know how he knew about a video and he told them he saw the video the day it happened. So now they are refusing to make it right. Definitely NOT professional!!!
When you bring your cans in make sure they're in big bags. They won't take them in small bags they'll send you home and make you rebag them into bigger bags other than that service was good
No signage sit there and waited during business hours to get weighed in for the worker 45 minutes to later to tell me they're closed travel 35 minutes just to get there to make some extra money hauling almost 2 ton on the back of my truck
Employees are rude and verbally abusive when they are having a busy day. Talking to their supervisor is just about as worthless as nothing ever gets done. The whole place needs anger management. As the owner of my company I am blacklisting all future loads to this shipper/receiver.
Very easy task, drive in and weight for tenet, they will unload you ,if driving a truck, they also tell you what not to send with aluminum cans, I learned today that just because it's aluminum foil, doesn't mean to put in with cans. They do not accept aluminum foil. It's trash ?
Employee blocking the truck and letting locals go first. Supervisor told me that he is doing a favor for me by explaining their rules, I told that he's not doing anything for me - he is doing it for money. Be ready for all that my way or no way prince attitude. They discriminate.
Good place to deliver can be slow but that's due to alot of trucks all day. As of this week it's jacked up due to construction so they only let three trucks in at a time 9-1-24
CLOSES AT 4:55!!
Really aggravated. Drove 20 minutes to get there 5 minutes before they’re supposed to close but the cones were out. Had cans, plastics and cardboard-which I always unload as well. Usually takes 5(10 tops) minutes. If I knew they closed up early I wouldn’t have wasted the gas. I’ve been going here for years. I sat in the lot for a few minutes, trying to find anywhere else to go. At 5 o’clock the guys that do the weighing come walking out so I asked one if he knew of another place because they closed the doors early. “You had 8 hours to get here”, was his reply. Sorry man but no I didn’t. We all have jobs. Any job that I’ve ever worked, the doors don’t close until it’s closing time. If you close the doors at 4:55 then you aren’t open until 5, you’re open until 4:55. Listed hours should reflect that so people aren’t wasting gas and time and energy.
Scale house lady is super rude every time
I came here she has this bad attitude lady!!! If you not happy go home why are you here with this bad attitude making other peoples day bad !.
The unloading AREA is super unorganized and no sign for direction always changing the unloading zone . But the guys who unload are cool . But damn get it together
Make sure to take your cans out of small shopping bags especially in the summer seen many people have to pull forward and rip open bags and have to get back in line..... I personally use barrels and leaf bags......

Had delivery here, and my drive axel tire blow up due to yard conditions. Yard was not swiped.
I reported my issue right away, but they didn't even bother to help or do anything about it.
Just left with check. Can't cash it. There own bank won't cash it for 24hours. Go where they pay cash. I am .plus there employees are rude never got a smile or thank you.
Worst experience I have ever had with a business. Don't ask questions if you ever go there for your first time because you'll get screamed at cussed at and talk to you like you're stupid. By all means if you can go somewhere else go somewhere else. You'll get treated way much better somewhere else and get way more better prices
We had a load of almost 1000lbs. The first check we got we only were being given credit for 290 lbs. We went back in, after a few minutes they gave us another check for over 500lbs of scrap. We had 2 washers. A dryer. A water heater. And a stove. Plus leaf springs, and various other auto parts. We had all of the units full of stuff. We've been customers of Milliorn for years scrapping, now we won't be back.
New owners as of Aug 2022. Million was the place to go...not anymore...lower pricing...policy changes making dumpsters almost impossible to get. Now I gotta find the New best recycling around because this place changed alot for the worse! You lost my business and I wont be the only one.
We had seven big bags of aluminum cans to get rid of.
Our wait time wasn't bad. We were behind someone who had a very large amount of cans.
The employees were very nice and helpful.
This is a good place to go to take your recyclables to. During the month of April, they do a higher price for cans. This past April they were paying $0.80/lb. That is the highest that I had seen in a while.
Also it is so easy to take your stuff in. You don't even really need to get out of your car. You just pull up and the door opens for you to drive in.
Afterwards, they give you a receipt ticket to take to the main counter to get your check from them.
It is all very simple and easy. Plus it is for a good cause.
Recycled a truck bed full of cans today, the warehouse attendants and secretary were very polite, courteous and helpful. Cans are selling for $0.55 a lb at the time of this review.
They have great employees who are all fast and friendly. They have the best scrap prices around! Best looking recycling center I've ever been to! Clean and organized.
Well I don't love it, the employees have everything running smoothly, this is a hard hat scrap yard. It didn't take them long to unload our tractor trailer . There's a decent amount of room to sweep off the back of your trailer where it goes right into garbage disposals. Pretty clean place for a scrap yard "
The only problem I have with Mill iron is in their steelyard they need better instructions for the average person who comes to drop off steel.
Drive around back really is not a good a good instruction.
Efficient and clean with options. My favorite part of this recycling experience is the fact that Milliron will process my materials and at my request, give the proceeds to my favorite charity. No muss, no fuss.
