Had a gentleman from Hickory Wrecker come to the rescue when my hybrid’s battery died on a Sunday. Drove me over to Firestone, and even waited in line with me. Nice guy, hard worker, awesome service.

Well, my truck rear axle decided to lock up today. Call my auto shop to see what they wanted to do and they called hickory wrecker service to come pick it up and bring it from hickory to granite Falls. The driver got there in about 20 minutes which was great since I wasn't blocking major traffic. Young man really knew what he was doing and one of the most well mannered young men I'd ever met. We talked on the way to the shop and it was like we had known each other for years. So,to whomever reads these reviews my experience with hickory wrecker service was absolutely amazing. To the owner of hickory wrecker service, your driver was Bryson and I commend you for his exemplary service.

Like most folks, I don't have too much call for a tow service in my life. Every time I've had to use one, it's been an emergency. My family and I were traveling back from Charlotte when I was afflicted with a flat tire around Icard. After calling around for best price, Hickory Wrecker was the service I chose. The dispatch lady was kind and efficient. Our driver, Bryson, was polite, worked quickly and safely, then delivered my injured car exactly on time to the tire shop in Hickory. Turned a cold, crappy evening into one not so bad. Thanks y'all, much appreciated.

My son got in a bind on his way back to school after fall break, and Hickory Wrecker jumped in to save the day! They went out of their way to perform a service they don't normally do and saved me from driving 5 hours round-trip to help my boy. These guys are great. Highly recommended!

Towed our truck and loaded trailer after the driver hit an object in the roadway puncturing the oil pan. Fast service, easy and friendly to work with and very reasonably priced. Would definitely use them again.

The only people in the Hickory metro that would answer the phone! They showed up promptly in the morning and picked up my broken down vehicle and towed it to location without issue. Very friendly and professional!

I locked my keys in the car. The gentleman Bryan got there as soon as possible and got my door to open in a jiffy and I was able to get back in and get my key. No problem with him at all. Probably the best experience I had with a car locksmith. Easy, fast, and straight to the point. Worth every penny.

I live in missouri and I run a towing yard here. My mother and my aunt was traveling to a wedding and stopped in hickory n.c. and locked their keys in the vehicle. My mother called and was told it would be at least 2 hours before someone could come. My mother then contacted me very upset and distraught. I then call hickory towing and they gave me a very reasonable price and had someone on the way and would be there in 15 to 20 minutes. Hickory towing was very professional on the phone and understanding. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for your professionalism and help. You all are awesome. Ran over a piece of metal driving home from an OBX vacation and got two flat tires. We used this towing company. The tow truck arrived fast and the owner came shortly after. They were extremely competent and knowledgable. We were trying to figure out the best place to have our vehicle brought to that would likely have 4 of the tires we needed to purchase in stock. The tire store we decided on wasn’t open yet and the towing company owner gave us his card and said if they didn’t have the tires we need in stock, we could give him a call and he would help and pick up tires from a different store and bring them to the store our vehicle was towed to if we needed him to. This company cares about people and does whatever they can to make a bad situation manageable for people. Highly recommend using them!!

I broke down on my way home from picking up dinner and my mechanic recommended I call Hickory Wrecker Service for a tow from Hickory to Statesville. The call was quick and smooth and they arrived within 20min of my call. Driver was super nice, fast, and professional.

Showed up early and explained everything easily. Even followed up with a phone call. I recommend them and towing my car on a Sunday as well. My cars ebrake was messed up and they were able to find a solution.

Lost my clutch in the worst construction zone on the interstate outside of Asheville. My car happens to be a collector model and extremely low to the ground. Jerry showed up and was pleasant and friendly the entire time. I know his line of work is stressful especially when dealing with drivers who are not the least bit happy. He assessed the situation quickly and gave me clear instructions on how to help withy situation. Jerry was not the driver who was dispatched to me, but happened to be passing by and stopped. When he realized I was dispatched to another driver he made the decision to load anyways because of how dangerous my situation was. A few minutes later the other driver who was dispatched showed up and assisted Jerry without hesitation. Joey made certain my car was not damaged in the loading and unloading process and even unloaded all of our luggage from our car into his truck and then gave us a ride to the nearest hotel. Jerry and Joey were truly the best part of what was a horrible day.

On September 6 2024 around 10pm me and my partner was in a wreck on hwy 10 going towards banoak had just came off 127 on to hwy 10 as we came over the hill the car we hit was backing up in the middle of hwy 10 and we jerked the wheel to the right to try to avoid the wreck well once we did that the axle broke on our ford escape and so the state hwy troopers called for hickory wrecked service we couldn’t get all our belongings out of the escape the night of the wreck so went back a few days later to hickory wrecked service and they told us that we couldn’t get our personal belongings out of the escape unless we paid the 250 dollar tow bill well by law and the state of nc they can’t charge a customer just for getting there personal items out of the car and hickory wrecked refused to let us get our belongings so went back a lost some name brand sun glasses my necklace with my grandmas ashes in it I couldn’t get just letting people know if u ever get into a wreck make sure the cops dont use hickory wrecker service

I didn’t use Hickory wrecker service, but I just called them to pick up my son on the side of the road, and he was scheduling a pick up… but then he offered me a suggestion of wrecker service that might be much cheaper based on where my son was sitting. I thought that was amazing of him to think to do that. I’ll for sure call them again next time we need a tow. You don’t see that kind of thoughtfulness out of businesses much anymore.

Very pleased with the professionalism and value of this company. Thanks to Jackie Lail for helping us get our car towed and all the great staff! Will definitely use y’all again in the future.

First off, they're drivers and workers are very awesome, but the reason this is a bad review is because whoever they have has their receptionist or answering the phone is was completely unprofessional. She turns to the driver and says go pick up his car and then tells me we will figure it out. And I was going through my insurance direct Auto so it wasn't even me who sst up everything , going on in the future. I would never call them just because the people you have to deal with on the phone. I never agreed. I agree to being towed, but I never agreed to out-of-pocket fee where I come from in Texas. We don't treat people like that, especially families of veterans. My father helped one of their workers one day get his truck out of our yard because they got it stuck for free and they wanted to charge me $95 for seven miles after a hurricane. I call that price gouging and I was covered under my insurance up to 100. Mi is now I have to get a receipt. Go to my insurance company and get them to deal with it because this company hires receptionist who don't have courtesy or professionalism. That's why the two-star review their drivers are great. My car was being towed to a mechanics business and home where they had very tiny children and infants and they were going to disrupt that over $95. And bring them into the middle of it without any telling me that she was going to impound my car. The. They were just going to do it but luckily their drivers have more common sense. I paid the $95 and still haven't received my receipt. And another thing they forgot to put it on the drivers to do list so it was not his fault at all.

Just wanted to share some information about my experience tonight. I have used a wrecker service before but it's always been through my insurance because I have tow coverage. The last couple of times I've had a vehicle towed it's always taken them about 2 hrs because they didn't use companies that are local. So I decided to do things different. I called a local tow company and skipped the insurance because the vehicle was in a very dangerous spot. They assured me they had a guy headed out right then. The owner was worried about the after hours charge but I was fine with it as long as they were on there way. Which he said they were. I waited an hour before calling and the owner said he had given the driver the wrong road and he was headed back to get us. After an hour and forty minutes the truck showed up. The driver of the truck was awesome and I have no issues with the service! Just very disappointed that I had to wait so long on the owners mistake, still had to pay full price and he would only except cash. Not the way to do business. I will not use this company again because my time is just a valuable as his.

Worst customer service and they lied and said they completed the job and they didn’t. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I paid $458 for a tow through my insurance company and unfortunately this lousy company was the one that responded for the tow. They were supposed to tow my car on Friday and by the time they got there, they stated “they didn’t know my car was in a parking garage.” I don’t understand how they didn’t know considering I was asked on multiple occasions where my car was at and I repeatedly told them it’s in a parking garage on level 1. So they wouldn’t do it Friday night and they told me “dispatch will send one out in the morning.” To my surprise my insurance company sent me a message saying the tow had been complete when it was not! So I had to call my insurance company and tell them it was not complete. They had to resubmit another tow service and unfortunately this tow company responded again with an EXTREMELY rude “service” guy who answered the phone and when I tried to explain the situation to him he hung up the phone on me and canceled my tow. DO NOT RECOMMEND. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Got my key locked in the car and when I called them up the lady was really nice and helpful. When the technicians got here they were both very very friendly. All it took them was 5 min max and in the end it was at an affordable price. Definitely recommend

They took over 4 hours and still didn’t show up. I got them thru USAA and it was awful. I ended up cancelling and getting someone else. Terrible customer service. They answer the phone angrily saying “service”. That’s it. No other words. When asked for an ETA, they said they were busy. One call they straight up hung up on me. The other they said a driver would call me. 30 mins later I call back and they say they will call eventually. Seriously, terrible service. Don’t use them. If USAA or another insurance tries to use them, request another service

Would give them 10 stars! Called Josh and he sent Michael and Lyric. They came out and were fast, friendly and just excellent! Lyric came out the next morning and is getting me set up to get back on the road. Thank you!

Totaled our vehicle. They were the ones on rotation to pick it up. 1st time having to do business with them. They were very helpful in letting me get my belongings out of the vehicle and getting permission for the insurance company to pick it up. Hopefully, I never have to do that again.....but if I do, I would prefer them.

Shout out to Matthew, by far the most pleasant tow driver I've met. Gave us a ride on top of towing the car out of a dangerous predicament.

About a month ago I used these guys through my insurance provider's roadside assistance. Josh at CAF Wrecker is the man. Prompt, called and text, and was at my location within minutes. Great customer service and got me back on the road fast. Highly Recommend.

Had to have my car towed from my home to Firestone and due to the repair needed, they were unable to do it. So I had to have my car towed again to a dealership. Brandon was my driver and he was excellent. Because the dealership was in a different city, Brandon was able to stay until I checked my car in at the dealership and brought me back into my hometown. What a wonderful service. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Brandon went above and beyond and is a wonderful asset to Hickory Wrecker.
