We visited Slick Rock Salvage in Hendersonville, NC, on 4/11/2026 and I’m so glad we did! I LOVED this store! And the owner was SO incredibly kind! The store has a wide variety of things! If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, they probably don’t make it! LOL! And I can pretty much guarantee you’ll find something you never even knew you needed! The owner knew I was eyeing a chair he had in front of the store. And I’m pretty sure because he knew how much I loved that chair, he gave me an incredible deal on it! He even said it makes him happy to see his customers find treasures in his store that make THEM happy, and that means more to him than making the “almighty dollar”! You just don’t hear that from people much anymore these days… My husband & I will definitely be back to visit!

Great shop owned by some fun people. It is crazy what kind of items turn up in there! Worth the drive. Time your trip to Chimney Rock when you are sure to catch them open.

Cute antique place with quaint finds.

My experience is they were closed. Apparently four hours a day, three days a week is a bit much for them to handle. Maybe another day.

I think we visited too soon after it opened. Selection was terrible, prices were high, and there was standing water all over the second level. Apparently the owner doesn’t live in the area and runs it from “out of state.” It showed, and placement is likely to scrape some of the tourists that head to chimney rock. Not authentic.

I think it's adorrible place. I wish If i work in a place like that even with low salary!. I have to visit at some day.

Love this sweet store! Right off the highway, easy to get in and out of. Combination of primitives/antiques. Something for everyone that enjoys old items. Marie is a gem, so personable and nice. Made a haul today!!! Not overpriced and the store is laid out nicely so as to be able to see everything. Go by already!!

Great finds! The furniture is of the best quality, very sturdy, and gorgeous. Sweet people own and run the shop. There is something for everyone here!
