Called AAA for a jump at almost 7:00 tonight; someone came out just a little over an hour later. He was super courteous and friendly - one of the best AAA experiences I’ve ever had.
My vehicle was repaired at this auto body shop after an accident. From the beginning, Toni and Tara were very responsive, helpful, and made the intake process smooth. They gained my trust quickly and assured me everything would be handled properly.
When I received my truck the first time, I noticed several items had not been completed. I brought this to Toni’s attention, and she assured me they would be addressed. We scheduled a return visit, and the truck was kept for an additional two days. However, when I picked it up again, the left rear quarter panel on the truck bed was still misaligned. At that point, I was told nothing further could be done because it was a “bolt-in part.”
I struggled with that explanation, especially considering the truck had already been in their possession for a total of about 2.5-3 weeks. I felt that proper quality control should have caught and corrected the alignment issue before delivery. After speaking with several other auto body shops, I decided to continue pursuing the matter. It ultimately took multiple calls ith my insurance company, along with involvement from the owner, before they agreed to revisit the repair again.
After approximately 12 additional hours of work, the truck was finally returned to its proper alignment and original condition.
I want to emphasize that Toni and Tara were consistently professional and easy to work with throughout the process. However, the 8 total trips to the shop over 2.5 months due to workmanship issues made the experience frustrating and time-consuming. At one point, I was told, “This is an auto body shop, not a custom body shop,” which I found confusing, as I drive a Toyota — not a high-end specialty vehicle — and was simply expecting factory-level alignment and finish.
In the end, the repair was completed correctly, and the shop demonstrated they are capable of quality work. That said, I do feel some consideration for the time and inconvenience would have been appropriate, as the delays were not due to anything on my end.
I would consider using them again because they ultimately made it right, but I hope future customers have a smoother experience from the start.
The Towing Industry is absolutely appalling. Time and time again I submit a Road Side assistance, companies from 60 miles away jump on it, never to show. The communication? Doesn't exist.
Communication in the Trades (Being in the Trades for 30 years) doesn't exist period.
I put out a AAA tow in Carmel NY, I was called 30 minutes later by Christina who was lovely. She needed me to answer two basic questions. The car was located, picked up, and imagine this? Dropped off exactly where I told them 30 minutes later.
Rob was a Gem and a true professional. He placed the car within inches of where I needed it.
Tip your Service People especially if your Tow is being covered by a third party. They work hard and deserve it.
I was stuck doing the snow storm for 2 days roadside assistance connected me with the towing from this company unfortunately I had a horrible experience driver showed up smoking after 3 hours of waiting , looked up on YouTube how to put the car on neutral since car couldn’t start refused to put car on bed to transport to near buy mechanic that was 1.3 miles away then just left us
Luckily 2 hours later another company was able to come and help us and transported the vehicle

The ladies at check in were very pleasant & I was added the queue in no time, Billy thoroughly explained the process what was going on (I had torqued the lug nuts too tight) & I was in an out in no time. I recently visited Chris’ Automotive Center for an oil change and annual inspection on my pickup truck. The experience was quite pleasant.
The waiting area was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The friendly staffs greeted me warmly, and provided exceptional service to my vehicle. I’ll definitely be returning when I need more services for my vehicles.
This is a third time I've had work done here and they've always exceeded my expectations. Not only was a body work done perfectly they did an incredible job detailing my car afterwards. Toni is a pleasure to deal with and always seems to go the extra mile!

They were returning from a recovery (had car on flatbed) and saw I was changing the flat tire on my car on taconic exit. Eric was driving wrecker and got out and told me he would help me no charge. Brought out his jack (much better than jack provided in car) and electric impact driver. Was done in 3 minutes! What a great relief. Was on my way to family Thanksgiving celebration. You guys rock! My family and I have never needed a body shop, until last month when we were involved in 2 separate accidents with both of our cars. We decided to call Chris Automotive Center and so happy we did. I made an appointment to get my car inspection done. They took me right away and the wait time was very fast. The staff here are so friendly and warm. I also love that they have coffee for their customers.
About a week ago I went to Chris’s Auto Center to have my car fixed. They were so amazing that they found my car didn’t even have antifreeze because there was a leak and not only that, the job they did was great, clean and I could see and hear how amazing the car looks and feel. I truly recommend Chris’s Auto Center to anyone that needs a great fix for their car. It is the second time I have been there and I would do it again, it is truly worth it. If you are looking for attentive, good quality service steer clear of Chris’ Automotive Repair, they are just there to take your money without a care of the dangers their poor workmanship could potentially cause to not just your vehicle but your passengers! Forget about speaking to Dina, who lacks all professionalism and actual customer service skills, she will only tell you she doesn’t know; she is rude and accusatory. Regretfully my family put our trust and money in Chris’s Automotive Repair only to have our concerns dismissed and ignored. They will take no accountability for their mistakes, don’t waste your money.
Amazing people and work! They did such a great job and pay close attention to detail. The dealership couldn’t figure out why my sunroof was leaking but they found it. No extra cost, just the work that needs to be done. Highly recommend!!!
On September 8th - a young girl decided her day was most important- enough so that she was driving on Drewville Road over the speed limit and with no concern for others and a blatant disregard for safety did not see me approach from her right blind side curve from the opposite side driving Drewville. After the call was made to sheriff then next was to Chris’ automotive- the Carmel PD was not appreciative of this - as they use a different tow company; within 10 minutes Chris’ arrived - my car up and was taken home - literally a two (2) minute drive from scene… my first collision and without Toni, Tara, Christina and Vanessa - I would still be an emotional wreck - and trust me I was BIG TIME!!! I had not a clue what to do, other than call insurance.. Toni picked up the ball and ran with it / passing the goal line most impressively professionally - truly knows her ins and outs dealing with insurance and along with Tara and all others - Chris’ automotive gets the Gold Medal for compassion, knowledge, going the distance, professionalism and making me feel safe and trusted guidance in what has been a scary unknown - safe and sound today, in a new vehicle - that Toni would approve of :-) and hopefully after all the crazy and needing to be coaxed off hysterical mountain most days since September 8th - they will allow me to bring my new vehicle for oil changes, tire rotations in future. Praise God I was not injured or killed by this driving felon who crossed my path on the road - and praise to Chris’ Automotive !!! 10 stars and counting.., finally get dash cam !!!
Amazing and very friendly staff! Got body work done on my dodge durango and they got it looking brand new! Even detailed and washed the interior and exterior! Amazing service!
Avoid this place, they don’t know what they are doing!!! Brought my car for inspection and received a call it failed for having windshield tints. Considering I know my car (which had a perfectly fine inspection the year prior) does not have any tints beyond factory settings, I asked what the tint meter reading was so I knew exactly why it failed. They refused to provide the reading, claiming ‘0 tint is allowed in NY’ which is incorrect. When my husband tried explaining per the DMV website only 70% of light has to pass through he was rudely dismissed and told he was wrong (he wasn’t). I tried contacting the shop, even sending a link from the official DMV website showing the correct guidelines and it went unanswered. Conveniently, they had no problem though passing me if I paid extra to have these nonexistent tints removed. I assume they never used a meter to check the tint, because even the receptionist was surprised to not see a % reading on the file, and just looked at the windshield and made a guess. So it failed under false pretenses and was incorrectly reported to the state and I still had to pay. I’ve been bringing my cars here since I moved up to the area so I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism of how a simple inspection was handled and even after trying to get this problem solved they refused to answer. Luckily I brought it somewhere else where it passed with no problem (again, because there is NO tint to begin with) and they said ‘wherever you went the first time just didn’t feel like doing their job’. Moral of the story: there are plenty of places in the area, go somewhere else.
I cannot be more grateful for Chris' Automotive. They quickly and gracefully helped out with what appeared to us at the time to be a tremendous issue. They picked up the car and repaired the car quickly and efficiently. They are trustworthy, honest and most importantly sympathetic to the fact that my 82 year old mom inadvertently put diesel in her car and was heartbroken about it. Chris and his team comforted us and treated us like family. I wholeheartedly trust and appreciate them more than they will ever know. THANK YOU ♥️

I have had endless issues with the brakes and rotors on my 2013 Honda Accord. Took it to a bunch of different places and they couldn’t fix the problem. Then, I decided to take it to Chris Auto and everything was fixed. I haven’t had a problem since and I also took my 2017 Toyota 4Runner to complete a rotor and brake job. Very satisfied.

The work done on my vehicle was pristine, but the time it took was absurd.
They informed me that it would be an overnight job, but it took a week. They said that it was due to having to order parts; but as my vehicle was fully functional, I could have continued to use it for the whole of the week that it was sitting in their lot - doing nothing. In other words, they should consider not suggesting that they can get a thing done without being fully prepared to get that thing done. If I had been renting a vehicle during the week, I would be down more money simply because they weren’t prepared enough to do what they promised in the time that was promised.

I can’t thank this team enough for how efficient and honest they are in fixing my car. I have a 2013 Honda fit; bought him in 2018 named him Oliver and have been on a hunt to find the right mechanic and I finally have one. Oliver had his ignition coils burst into flames and melted my two fuses as well as needing new spark plugs. The price was amazing and if you have AAA they take it and add discounts. They were fast with the tow, very sweet dude, the team was communicative the next day (got towed after closing, used AAA to get myself there). I am going here to have my tires done next time. This is the first mechanic place where I have had great communication, time management, and knowledgeable. They don’t play games like I had to deal with in the past with fixing my car.
Please use Chris automotive they are great, a rare place to find a good team that knows what they are doing with respect to their clients. Thanks my dudes Oliver is running amazing and I’m glad it wasn’t a busted transmission , I got so scared 😱
Just got my 2021 hyundai sonata N line in the beginning of March... 3 days later a deer rams my car! I wasn't sure what to do but my first choice was to go to Chris's autobody as they are the closest to me and a very good auto place.
I was without my car for an unfortunate 3 weeks but man these people fixed my car right! All parts are from the factory and correctly in their places. The paint looks just as good and nothing out of place. It's like nothing ever happened and they kept me informed the whole time.
I highly recommend this place and will come back.. hopefully not for the same reason or worse.
