The team at JVR are excellent. They got me up and running in a short amount of time, fair, honest and reasonable. They are very thorough with diagnosis, reports, using photos and videos, which can be comforting for anyone, especially those who can only take people's word for it. Amazing. My ram 1500 pick up battery was dead. I was on the way to the airport. I left my car at home and took an Uber. I called Patti she sent somebody to pick up my truck repaired it and had it ready for when I came back from vacation bravo to the whole team.
Bravo. Patty and her team went over and above the call of duty last Thursday morning. I was leaving for Kennedy airport and my car was dead. I proceeded to take an Uber to Kennedy airport when I got to my destination I called her she sent someone to my home, started and brought my car. To the shop did the repairs and I’m ready to use it when I get back from my trip 100% plus again bravo

Excellent mechanical work, basically had to restore my whole suspension plus other work on brakes, differential and engine on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Outstanding attention to detail. Superb communication throughout the whole repair process. Fair and transparent pricing and all OEM or superior upgraded parts. This is an exemplary shop with a great staff. You can trust your vehicle to be taken care of properly.
I have known Jonathan for over 20 years and he is the only one I trust with my cars. He has done everything from engine swap to routine maintenance on all my cars. He has been more than fair with his price. I don’t normally do reviews but if you are looking for someone to maintain or fix your car Jonathan at JVR PERFORMANCE is the guy.

Had a flat tire, had no choice, I have a regular place I go to but this was near my house, they showed me 2 tiny nails, according to them the tire has two tiny holes and they charged me $70 for fixing two tiny holes, totally a ripoff

I hired Jonathan to do pre purchase inspection on a local Porsche I was looking to purchase. I live in CA and couldnt see the car in person, so I was relying on Jonathan to make sure the car was in good shape and drove well. Jonathan was very accommodating in getting the PPI done immediately. He drove tot he dealer to perform the inspection. He identified a couple of items, one of which was a not insignificant cost to fix. The dealer fixed the item at no charge, so Jonathan saved me more than the cost of the inspection. I received the car and I am very happy with it. Thanks, Jonathan!
Jonathan is a true expert at his craft. The quality service he provides is second to none. His honesty and ability to accurately diagnose and repair my vehicles is hard to come by in that industry. His shop is clean and organized. I have both older model and some higher end vehicles that he has performed work on. I'm happy to say that I have been a satisfied customer for several years now, all thanks to a solid recommendation from a friend.
This is my go to auto shop. They’re always able to help me with all my car needs, both simple and complicated. They also update you with photos when working on your car which is nice.
Fantastic shop. Came from out of town for an alignment, they fit me in with their busy schedule with short notice. Also looked over the car for a suspected coolant leak for no charge. Very happy with their work. Definitely recommend.
This has to be one of the most impressive suspension shops on the Island. Jonathan and his team are top notch. Jonathan is more than willing to take his time with your car to make sure you are 1000% happy...yes, 1000%. Highly recommended.
Came here from a local referral in town after a disaster at the dealership. Jonathan and his team were so helpful. They diagnosed my car right away , walked me through what was happening and even sent pictures to me so that I could fully understand! They took their time and didn’t pressure me. I had my track only BMW M3 set up by Jonathan. Incredibly set up well, its fast, reliable and more than fair pricing. In addition, Jonathan set up my friend's Honda s2000 that I ended up doing all the driving for at a track event. It was so stable, I was able to pass pretty much all the higher HP porsches, with the exception of the new 991.2 GT3's.. Really happy with all the work he's done. He's knowledgeable across multiple platforms and brands... I am lucky he's so near where i live.
Eddie has been fixing my family's cars for over 30 years. When I was a teenager, I would smash my dad's cars up and Eddie's team would fix them.
As an adult, I continue to take my own car to Eddie because I know him to be honest, fair and highly knowledgeable. His mechanics are not young kids who don't care - they are professionals who know what to look for and what to do. I don't live in town anymore, but I still bring my car here for repairs. I recently got a very reasonable brake job done. When I needed body work done, Eddie recommended me to Perfection Auto Body. When I got over there, Eddie had already called ahead and I was treated like family (See my 5 star review for them).
If you make Eddie your family's mechanic, he'll treat you like family, too. He's been serving this community dutifully for decades, and at least 2 generations.

brought my corvette in for brake job, had to replace a master cylinder and power booster. Some how during this repair they screwed up my headlights where now they don’t work. Ed made up some crazy story so that he wasn’t responsible now I have to take car to another station to fix his mistakes. At no time did Ed say he would pay for damage. If you go there don’t make it anything big. He won’t admit he did anything wrong. Plus he charged me a lot of money to get my broken car back. Beware
Experts, responsible, true professionals and trustworthy! Is not often that you find or you hear of a team at an auto repair shop that lives by these qualities. I brought in my European SUV with transmission issues. It was diagnosed correctly, communication was timely and accurate, and my vehicle was promptly repaired at a reasonable cost! I am recommending Jonathan at JVR and have the trust that you will receive the same great service I received from the JVR team!
Raj is great to deal with: friendly and really honest and honorable. He's keeping up the tradition of the former owner, John. They fixed a pretty deep scratch on my 2009 Subaru so it looks like new; they did it quickly and the cost was completely fair and reasonable. Then about two weeks later, I happened to notice a few little rusty places on completely different parts of the car--nowhere near the scratch--and thought I should do something about them before they got worse. (They weren't anywhere that mattered in terms of cosmetic appeal; I was just taking preventive measures.) Raj and George, his master painter, fixed those two spots--and carefully checked over the car, found a few more, and fixed those for me as well. It took about 10 minutes, and they didn't charge me a dime. They're great. Can't recommend them highly enough.
