We had a great time. Clif the teacher had a lot of fun interesting information to share. It's a fun and challenging experience and totally worth it.

We had such an amazing time working with Clif and designing and building our own neon signs. Clif is knowledgeable, patient, and a true professional in his craft. He answered all of our questions about the process of design, the science behind the craft, and the history of neon signs. If you get the opportunity to work with him or do a class, take it! You will not be sorry!

The workshop was a fun, memorable experience. Clif is a great teacher, he’s very patient. At the end of the weekend, I had a real piece of my own art.

Had a great time with Cliff for the weekend neon bending workshop and came away with a great wall piece! Hope to take another class soon -- I'm hooked!

Cliff did an amazing job!! After I acquire this piece of NYC History I had no idea where to take it. Luckily I found Random Neon LLC! Communication was fantastic and Cliff understood what I wanted with my vintage piece! Price was right, work was great, time it took was shorter then I had originally ask for, extremely happy!!

I took Random Neon’s weekend neon-making course. I was impressed with how professional and hands-on it was. I came away with two neon pieces—one by expert neon artist and owner Clif Eddens, the workshop leader. Clif went out of the way to accommodate my mobility issues. It was awesome learning how to bend glass, but the best part of the workshop was working with Clif and his teaching assistant, Donnie, plus the other workshop participant, Jenny. Clif fostered a feeling of camaraderie among us all. It was a pleasure to take the course and to hang with everyone.

If you have an opportunity to do a workshop with Clif, don't hesitate! I had the absolute pleasure of learning from this master craftsman over the weekend and I loved every second of it. Clif's depth of knowledge on the subject knows no bounds. From learning about the history (and the underground nature) of neon, and loads of hands-on bending practice...working up to the pieces you want to create and take home. Watching them being pumped with gas on day 2 was extra special and much more scientific/involved than I realized. I've always appreciated the look of neon signs and artwork but making your own is something else entirely. That moment when you hit the switch and it comes to life is priceless and I'll cherish my two pieces forever (will return and add proper photos later when I mount them on the wall!).

Both a technician and artist, Cliff was able to do what other neon specialists couldn’t when it came to restoring this vintage sign from a multi-generation family-owned business. Time and time again, I was told by experts that the damage couldn’t be reliably repaired, and the best course of action would be to bend an entirely new tube, effectively remaking the sign and destroying its history in the process as far as I saw it. The piece sat broken for years until I received a text after reaching out to Random Neon which simply read, “I can fix it.” That was Cliff on the other end of the phone who understood what I was hoping to achieve and more importantly respected the spirit of preservation behind this goal. He “got it,” and I knew I was in capable hands. As it turned out, the job was more difficult than he expected, requiring a great deal of time and care to address all the external and internal issues the sign had after more than 60 years of continuous service. He attended to them one by one and brought the piece back to life without compromising its provenance. A true master at his craft, Cliff’s work far exceeded my expectations, with a fee which was more than fair given all the time, attention and materials involved. If you are in need of an artisan with the experience, skill and preservationist sensibility to take on the kind of jobs others won’t, Cliff is the specialist for you. Thanks again Sir. We’ll be back!

Clif is truly a neon master and wonderful teacher. I took a weekend neon workshop and went from zero previous experience to multiple finished neon signs! His knowledge and breath of experience was a great resource for every question I had on technique, history, materials, and more. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone interested in neon!

Clif, was extremely professional in getting my antique neon sign sorted out. Communicating was easy and informative. Clif made some important observations about the signs repair history and manufacture. He spent time with and handled this 80 year old sign with kid gloves! As this is my first neon sign; He made it safe, and gave me instructions on keep it going for another 80 years! All for a great price! Well worth the time and money spent!

The Neon Weekend was a unique experience! Wow. Clif Eddens generously and patiently shared his experience, skill, knowledge, and esthetic sense. A memorable, fun, exciting, and fruitful time! Clif is obviously very enthusiastic about Neon Making as an art form and that is infectious. I learnt a lot and am excited about exploring further. An excellent teacher and motivator. Thank you! PS: a couple of photos of my two-part abstract sculptures are attached.

Clif is one of the good ones; me and my partner took his weekend workshop after talking about learning neon for years. It was such an immersive and fun way to learn about the craft of neon, and we've absolutely fallen in love with it. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone, and I look forward to working with Clif again in the future as we continue to expand the scope of our studio to some day include neon work!

My husband and I really enjoyed the intro to neon sign making. Stephanie, our instructor was awesome!! This class showed from start to finish the whole process. We were both amazed of how much it takes to make those beautiful signs. I was a little skeptical that I was not going to bring home a finished product, but with the guidance from Stephanie I did!!! One of the best classes we’ve ever taken!! Both of us highly reccomend Random Neon, you will thoroughly enjoy the class!!!

All official neon weekend graduates, my parents and I could not have asked for a better experience. While teaching us to break, heat, and bend glass, Cliff also explained the detailed neon making processes, delving into the captivating history and science surrounding the industry. His neon wisdom is nothing short of amazing. Our neon weekend was an experience like none-other, and will be something we remember forever.

Clif and Stephanie are absolutely amazing. I am a beginner neon bender and took the weekend neon class. It was worth every penny, the amount I learned there set my skills SO far ahead to where I actually get nice bends now. The patience, help, and coaching spoke in volumes, and they keep the classes small so you actually learn. Not are they only amazing instructors, but just over all amazing people. It's a smaller shop full with a wealth of knowledge and skill where quality goes way over quantity. I would highly recommend taking the class or having them handle any of your neon sign needs. If you're thinking about going to a class or having a neon sign made/repaired, go to Random Neon. You will not be disappointed.

There are truly no words to describe how beautiful the neon weekend was at Random Neon. Have been to previous neon classes and this by far is the best value and experience HANDS DOWN ?? From the start Clif walks you through various safety and bending techniques all while listening to your feedback and figuring out how to best guide you on your bending journey. The second day I was able to conceptualize an anniversary piece for my partner and bring it to fruition with lots of targeted tips and help from Clif. ? This class really takes you through the basics and leaves you with skills to bring to any glass shop (or just a nice project to take home) for the future! 10/10 would recommend, THANK YOU RANDOM NEON!

Cliff's weekend seminar is hands down the best educational experience and introduction into the art of neon that one could ask for. His "learn at your own pace" teaching technique allowed each student to craft a work of art over the weekend with complete support and one on one instruction, all while feeling encouraged to explore the limitless possibilities of the art form. By far the most entertaining and enjoyable instructor I have ever had the privilege to study under, Cliff is like the neon Dalai Lama, only cooler.

Clif is an extraordinary teacher and provides an amazing workshop weekend to introduce the art of neon! He is a master at his craft and teaches in a way that is supportive, fun, and encouraging. Wish I could take it again and again (and I might!). It was a honor to learn from him and I’m thrilled to have had the experience! Super Jesus!!!

Had a great time in Cliff’s neon weekend class. Neon work and glass bending isn’t easy, but Cliff and Donnie his assistant were great at explaining everything and being supportive along the way. Everybody walked away with a cool neon piece and a whole bunch of new knowledge and inspiration to do more with neon in the future. Totally worth it, highly recommended if you’ve ever wanted to make something with neon.

I shared a neon weekend course with my girlfriend, and we had a great time. It was interesting to work with the medium, play with shapes, get a sense of what we wanted to make. Most folks seem to come with a design in mind, but I was very happy to put together an abstract shape with a few different lengths of cast-off glass. Clif and another artist were helpful teaching the basics of cutting, joining, planning, and ultimately curving the tubes. I walked out a very happy camper with a neon light I really, really liked—and when I screwed it up months later due to my own clumsiness, Clif generously offered to fix it up for me. Not long afterward, Clif also refitted a very old piece of neon my family had with new transformers, getting rid of a decades-old hum that had gotten in the way of our enjoying it. Looking forward to returning sometime and getting others into neon!

Amazing service, thoughtful design consultation, beautiful product, meticulous installation. I worked with Cliff and his team under a tight timeline right before we moved into our new offices. They were fantastic to work with, super communicative and flexible as we were working to coordinate movers, electricians, installers, etc. I especially appreciated that Cliff is truly an artist and great to collaborate with - he understood the aesthetic we were going for and experimented to build us something really perfect for the space. The photos don't do it justice, but it's beautiful and really ties the entire front office together!

Took the Neon Weekend Class and it was absolutely a delight. Clif is an amazing teacher and truly a master in this amazing craft. He was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. You may not have the easiest time learning this challenging skill but he'll do his best to make sure you walk out with something you are proud of. Don't get too discouraged if you struggle, Clif makes it look easy but he's been doing it for 20 years!! I not only got to walk out with something cool to put in my home, but i now have a new level of appreciation for this incredibly challenging and mesmerizing craft. If you're curious, just try it! My personal tip: Manage your expectations! You probably won't be walking out with an inspirational quote or complex image, but you may able to make some really cool shapes :)

I was asked to try and repair a Neon Sign that was missing some black paint in a large area. The sign is quite unique in that it's neon tubes are imbedded in glass which is sandwiched between plates of glass and was made by a company no longer in existence. By luck, after a Google search, I found Random Neon LLC, located a few minutes from my home. Cliff the owner, welcomed me into his studio, "educating" me about neon and the complicated process involved in making a beautiful illuminated sign. Cliff, and his associate Donny, spent well over an hour with me, evaluating the sign I brought in and making the repair to return this old relic and restoring the sign to its glory. Based on my discussion with Clif, I'm glad I didn't attempt to do a quick fix with an ordinary can of black paint, It would have been disastrous on many levels! These top- notch gentlemen, through their expertise and knowledge, produce quality work. I cannot say enough about these artisans who produce beautiful works of art to amaze and astound everyone that looks at their neon lights. Like I said, people of fine quality that you can trust to do a great job!

First, I'd like to thank Clif and his associate for their professionalism and promptness. Clif was very easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. He helped us salvage an old sign while still adding his touch to it. He made it so we are very happy we stayed NEON! All in all everything worked out even better than he promised. I would recommend him to anyone!

Just completed the neon weekend workshop and it was worth every penny! Clif is an unbelievable artist and instructor, as is his apprentice Donnie. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I will 100% do the neon weekend again!

I took the 2 day neon workshop with Clif. He is super chill and a good teacher. I got to make a few objects in the course and eventually pumped the attached piece. Clif is super knowledgeable about neon and is quality company. I would recommend anyone who wants to dip their tow in the neon waters to take this course. Thanks Clif!

Whether you’re looking for someone to bend a custom neon masterpiece or you want to try it yourself, Clif at Random Neon is the guy to see. I attended the two day Neon Weekend class and had a great time. Glass bending is plenty challenging but even with no experience, it’s possible to fabricate a few basic bends and light your design in the span of two days. The workshop is clean, organized, and well equipped. Small class size (3) allows lots of individual attention and there is plenty of equipment and workspace for a small project.

Clif did a great job at taking a sketch of the old sign which hung at my great-grandfather's tavern and making it a reality. I can't wait to hang it in my home. A pleasure to work with!

I attended the weekend neon workshop at Random Neon and had a great experience. Clif is a wonderful teacher and made the subject very approachable, even for someone lacking a bit in the artistic talent department. Clif is not only a great teacher, but also an incredible artist that makes signs for businesses and individuals. Whether you're looking to get hands on with glass bending or have a sign made, the Random Neon Company is the place to go.
