Shame on Inserra for their new penny policy. Although the US has stopped making the penny, and there is a shortage, they are still available. Shoprite has started rounding up and down to the nearest 0 or 5. Today, instead of receiving 92 cents change, I received 90 cents (Principle, not necessity). Suck it up Inserra and round to the benefit of the customer! You make plenty of money. You can afford it. And then the self checkout attendant had the nerve to tell me it was Trump's fault. I explained to her that it was the company's policy, not a government directive. Do better!

Very poorly stocked, rotten produce, and the people working in the deli shouldn't be working in that area; they are very slow and provide terrible service.

I NEVER leave without having to get rainchecks, they are ALWAYS out of things on sale. Also when picking up an order they refuse to attach rainchecks when that used to get them in the past. Will not be using this store for futures pick up orders.

Seriously, never been to a place with the worst customer service. Place an online order 5 hours in advance, still 2 hours late. No one knows where anything is due to changing the store every 6 weeks. Walk in and there about 4 people at self checkout chatting while customers are waiting on help. 10 minutes to buy cigarettes because in between customers there has to be a 5 minute conversation between employees. Use to like this place

Awful experience with three ladies in the bakery department. It is your responsibility if you were working in a certain area, to be aware of your surroundings, aware of customers, and try to bring business in (not deter it). If there is a pick up time for any orders previously agreed upon, shouldn’t it be followed through with? If I request an Uber for them to be at my front door at 11 AM, aren’t they going to fulfill that with someone who is close by and someone who can get there at 11 or even earlier? Why wasn’t this the case when I was attempting to pick up a cake I had ordered two days ago? The cake wasn’t written on yet, and it wasn’t packed ready to go, which I was expecting it to be. It was also incorrect with the decorations, and I’m not sure how it was in the inside. Horrible service.

Always 75-80% of the produce in this store is bad. The temperature is too warm and they have a lot of spoiled fruit and rotting vegetables. This is not a one off it’s all the time!

-Manipulation of the Prices! -Check the signs and take pictures! -Check the prices at the register! -Managers are using Manipulation to sale the products! Once you encounter them they get really mad!

I don’t know why they don’t put the schedule when you are open or close they dont actualiza the schedule omg that make he customer lost they time ????

If I could give a zero for the deli I would, a lot of people waiting an 2 people working one just walking back and forth doing nothing absolutely ridiculous . I got three things and waited. 45 minutes absolutely insane. They need to do better.

Honestly everyone I talked to said ShopRite is getting more expensive everyday, go to Walmart! Well, we are going back to Walmart!!!!’ Lodi ShopRite is the worst they have one cashier and the rest self check out-what is going on? Specially on weekends having one cashier makes no sense!

We had received an e- gift card and we were told we couldn’t redeem it in the store. I was forced to do an online pick up order, was charged a fee and charged for a bag!! I already spend hundreds of dollars a month since the prices went up so much! (The reason why we had gotten an electronic gift card is that ShopRite charges a fee for shopping and the sender lived out of state!)

Worst ShopRite I’ve ever been to. All the carts are horrible. The groceries are spread all over the store and the shelves are empty or missing many items. I would t ever recommend this Inserra ShopRite. Go to Wellington or Rochelle Park.

The meat department is a hit or miss. Deli is a disaster, bakery department is ok for basic stuff. Fruit and vegetables are decent, there’s a lack of organic produce but it looks like there’s fresh fruit and vegetables every time I go there. Self checkout ladies are always helpful.

I purchased a custom 2 tier cake, 3 dozen cookies and a fruit and veggie platter from here for my daughters 5th birthday party. I purchased the cake decor from online and stopped by and spoke to Sue, one of the bakers, and gave her the decor. The cake came out beautifully (exactly like my inspo photo) and tasted SO good and honestly was quite affordable! The guests could not believe it was purchased from Shop Rite. Sue was SO genuinely patient and helpful and really took the time and care to make sure the cake was how I wanted and to package the cake up securely. She also insisted the cookies were baked fresh for me the morning of the party (I had told her I had planned to just grab them off the shelf). She also called over Nigel, from produce, to help me with my fruit and veggie platter order and he was also equally pleasant and friendly. I am not local to Lodi, but purchased from this location because it was close to the party venue. I had such a great experience and the service from Sue and Nigel was so warm and friendly, I can not say enough good things about them

To Irwin Cruz, who manages Lodi ShopRite's online department, and equally to the conscientious in-store shoppers who help him do such an outstanding job for customers, like me, who have groceries delivered: A DEEP-FELT THANKYOU, ALL! Since the glut of delivery companies, that deliver ShopRite's orders, such as Uber, DoorDash, Insta-Cart, ETC. who push their drivers for speed&profits to my frequent DIS-satisfaction, Mr Cruz has greatly reduced a recurring frustration----that the drivers don't phone me when at my door. They just drop my order and leave in spite of my clear request for a phone call. It is not fun going down & up 14-steps, 3 to 6 times to see my order on the stoop because once-again, no call! Irwin Cruz has found a way, even among non-English-speaking DoorDash drivers to get them to read the Customer Instructions: Not Just Drop the Bags & Go!!! And if the driver can't understand them, and so would dismiss them, he goes over them & writes in BIG PRINT, and CIRCLES IT, so the instructions are UNIGNORABLE! That extra effort, causes this Thumbs-Way-Up review, Mr. Cruz! Likewise, the in-store shoppers who fill the orders, not only pick quality produce/products (not wilted/damaged), but any SPECIFIC substitutes I ask, if my first request is not in stock. And the extra courtesy I find so refreshing in them, is their putting frozen foods only with other frozen foods, and refrigerated foods only with same, not mixed with each other. AND, to keep refrigerated foods cold they seal them in a plastic bag. Way-To-Go-ShopRite-Online-Shopping-Dept.....And To You, Mr. Cruz!!!

Terrible experience. The store was crowded and only two registers were open. The customer in front of me on line was arguing with the cashier over what type of tomato she was buying. The cashier walked her over to produce to prove what type of tomato it was. I waited on line throughout that nonsense and then they came back and started disagreeing over a coupon. At no time, did anyone try to move the customers to another line or to apologize in any way. There were plenty of employees there but very few were working! Do you yourself a favor and go down the street to the Rochelle Park or Paramus Shoprite. I would have given 0 stars if I could. The system wouldn't allow me to.

The workers are friendly and helpful but the management stinks. There are never more than 2 checkouts open and the meat department borders on pathetic. If there is a meat item on sale half the time there are very few if any of that item in the display case, especially steaks. I only come here if I don't need a lot but for large orders I go to Rochelle Park which is never short staffed or limited in selection.

I ordered a platter from. Shop Rite of Lodi and needed help. Anthony the associate in the deli department was very very helpful!!! He was very polite and knowledgeable. When I picked up my platter today, I thanked him for being so nice to me. Anthony, you are the best!

I’ve been shopping here ever since I moved to Lodi. Never had any issues with the staff who are on the register or on self check out. Today was entirely a different experience. I had a good amount of items in my cart today. As I was proceeding to scan my items this elderly with light brown bob started “guiding me” how to properly scan my items and said I need to put my items on the bell. I tried explaining to her that I have issues with the bell “unrecognized item in bagging area. Remove this item” she cut me off and then left. I continued scanning and it wasn’t until I had my four t bone steaks. She decides to come back to me, saying how the price is different etc. I told her how since they’re all the same steak with the same expiration date. I couldn’t stand this woman’s hostility anymore so I made the choice to leave my items at the self check out. I did call customer service and reported this incident. I just felt the need to leave a review since this elderly Hispanic woman clearly had a problem with me since the beginning of the story.

The ShopRite in Lodi has to be the most confusing supermarket to navigate. The layout is very strange and to get anything you have to walk around the entire store. The floral is in the middle of the store and frozen food is all over the store not just in a few aisles. The store looks small from the outside and the parking lot very small but the store is actually huge. There is no buffet and the deli area isn’t great. The rotisserie chicken was dry as well. The only redeeming factors about this ShopRite is it’s clean and the lady in self checkout was friendly.

Bakery located in Lodi NJ. I have been getting my cakes from this location for years. The ladies that work at the bakery department are friendly, courteous, professional and above all always willing to take that extra step.

This review is just in regards to the bakery. I had to buy a last minute cake for my moms birthday. Her sugar levels just went low from pre diabetes so I wanted to get a small cake, nothing to extravagant & considering it was a last minute purchase, the cake was actually decent. Pretty good ?? texture was good, not dry and not overly moist either. In my opinion just about good to me. Taste with frosting was good. Critique from the fams was that it wasn’t too sweet. I think well at least it’s not too overly sweet. Good for moms situation anyways ??‍♀️ it was a cookies & cream cake for $13.99. Better for me in comparison to making a hit or miss with a bakery of cakes that can range between $30-$40. It was only the four of us and there is plenty of left overs for next day for 4 people if you cut them not too thick slices. Once again I’m pretty pleased considering this was all last minute and trying not to buy an expensive cake.

ABSOLUTE DISASTER!! DO NOT DO ONLINE SHOPPING/PICK UP HERE! NOT SAFE!! This store is a complete chaotic mess, management is no where to be found and it shows! Today I tried the online shopping in store pick up and it will be the first and last time!! I was never greeted or assisted until i asked if one of the 5 employees to get off of their cell phones to assist me. Next I was asked to go and grab the shopping carts for my order that I was told was already complete. The staff brought out 1 shopping cart for an order over $340.. immediately I knew items were missing. 15 items were missing yet still CHARGED ON MY BILL. ON TOP OF THAT I had items in my cart completely smashed flat. Unfortunately I was NOT the only customer with the same exact issue. I arrived to pick up my order at 1:40 PM it took the staff until 3PM to gather the 15 missing items. ALSO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FOOD IS SAFE WHEN PICKING UP. I HAVE WITNESSED COLD ITEMS LIKE RAW POULTRY BEING LEFT OUT WHILE THE EMPLOYEES TRY AND FIX THE ONLINE PICK UP ROOM, WHILE SLIDING FOOD ITEMS ACROSS THE FLOOR WITH THEIR FEET.

This is a huge supermarket I came here and I was so impressed of how clean and organized everything was. They have a very large of fresh food. Vegetables, fruits and meat etc, all so fresh. I will come back here because their staff are helpful as well.

Very large super market. Good selection of just about everything. Very good prices. Always a lot of sale items and generally the lowest prices compared to competitors. Separate liquor department. Did not see a hot foods to go section. Maybe I just missed it as it was my first visit. Lots of parking.

The ShopRite in Lodi is very clean and big. I was able to run in and out quickly. This location has a liquor store in it.

Great place to shop, wide selection, well organized, now with more self checkout machines for a quicker process!
